Came from Kansas to spend the weekend with family, we left earlier than planned so I called to make sure it would be okay to check in early (3am) ..on the phone they said it would be okay and no extra charges. Drove all the way there and got in at 330 am and the check in guy first said he wouldn't be able to get us in and I said I talked to somebody and I just drove 7 hours with 3 kids and were ready to sleep. He finally checked us in and said they're wouldn't be any extra charges and we went on our way to our room...took a roll cart to only find out on our own there wasn't any elevators so had to unpack our luggage and take it down some stairs in several trips to room all while juggling tired/asleep kids.Room was nice, no complaints on room ...except outside on back patio area the light bulb was MELTED at the metal screw in part! The swimming pool was alright but there was no towels everytime and had to get them from front desk and NO bathrooms in the swimming area and the hot tub is surrounded by a privacy fence so you can't keep an eye on your kids swimming so how the hell are you supposed to relax?Lastly, as we were packing up I get a room call saying our card declined and we need to go to front desk. Our bank statement showed that it already went through and was paid for. We went down to desk and the same guy that checked us in told my husband we were being charged extra for checking in early even though he said we wouldn't be and we had to pay $100 more. I didn't go down there with him bc I was with kids but if I would've I would be talking to the manager because we are not happy with our stay and will not be coming back to this hotel.

My partner and I went to arrow wood resorts to perform a wedding. The room was very nice and spacious. The wedding was very cozy and the view was outstanding. Marry, Bury or baptize, would love to perform more ceremonies at this location and see the rest of the resort. Would definitely reccomend.Reverend. Website does not mention refrigerator & microwave. Windows are large & may face parking or trees but are easy to see into, even with the sheer curtains. Water pressure is excellent, tub was large. Sign indicates there is no maid service: if you need more towels , ask at front desk (none available for three hours).Free Breakfast starts at 6am & had good variety: cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, pancakes, muffins, milk, juice & coffee featuring hot sausage patties, syrup & egg rounds.Location needs more handicapped parking close by & a way to assist them to rooms which are rather far & after conference roomsNoteworthy details: Minerva's Restaurant smelled great when it was open Tuesday night

A decent spot to clean yourself and sleep. The breakfast buffet helps save the cost of eating out elsewhere in the city.Another big benefit to the spot is the indoor pool. My kids loved the slide, small play area, and more. It's great for a rainy day or just a way to close out the night after a long day at Arnold's Park.

We stayed here on a cold weekend in early spring and got a great deal, rooms were nice, breakfast was good, pool was fun for the kids. Due to the layout there are accessibility issues for people with mobility needs, we asked prior to booking and were told floor 2 is ground level for wheelchair users (which is true), with a 1400 level room we could get in and checked in and had access to breakfast, but the pool is only accessible via multiple sets of stairs or by going outside, during the summer it may not be an issue but it was a chilly wheel while damp after the swim this trip. That said, the staff was as accommodating as they could be and we were able to use the pool like we wanted. Also, the pool does have a lift if needed, though we did not utilize it.

So many good things about the place. Clean, ample. The bad. This is not a friendly place for the handicap. Boats take prime spots. This is a horrible reflection on you. There is so much space they could park in. Prime spots should never be usedYou can not go in the main entrance and get to your room if you cant go up and down stairs.Winter must be a nightmare for anyone handicapped. It was awful in the dry monthsBus driver for the hotel needs to be told not to interupt a customer being waited on. Total rude jerk. Started off a negative attitude right awayReceptionist was greatOtherwise the room was as quiet as I have ever seen in a hotelIt was good, bed could use some work. Time to retire it

Stayed for a week Oct ‘22. The staff was amazing. No room service or housekeeping during the stay which is nice as well. You can ask for service, but they didn’t come in while I was there.I attended a week long conference. The conference rooms were amazing and the staff kept them clean. They had water stocked during our 8 hour sessions for almost 100 people. Before lunch they would bring cookies! The catered lunch was great. They had deli sandwiches, salad, pasta salad, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken and hot dogsHaving Minerva’s right there was great as well

Had my sons birthday in the pool area, do wish they had normal pool hours the pool was closed by 9pm.. the Staff was great. Overall great bday place for a 10yr old. Thank you!Rooms: Felt very tight spaced from the beds and the stand. The TV could be in a better spot so both beds can see it.

Have to walk quite a ways to get to everything. Nice restaurant some things a little pricey but good service.Rooms: Clean but beds not comfortable.Nearby activities: Within 5 minutes of Arnold's ParkWalkability: Had to walk quite a ways to get to things like pool.

Rooms were clean and average in appointments. The bed was too soft no l for my liking but you can't possibly please everyone. The toilet ran unless the handle was jiggled, and hourly was addressed after we left. The bar manager was very friendly and accommodating. Our large group returned after dinner and asked if they would stay open later, normally they close at 8 I guess. Not sure why you would close at eight? Anyway, they remained open for us, but one bartender didn't seem too pleased. I wish I had the managers name, she was fantastic, thank you. Continental type breakfast was average at best. The waffles you had to make yourself but were very good once you were able to get the lone waffle maker. The eggs were atrocious, I had better ones in the army while in the field in a thunderstorm. The sausage was good however and the muffins were pre packaged and OK. Coffee was typical hotel fare. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool.... not on the friendly list. Wasn't easy to get to first of all. Go down the hall, down a set of stairs, across an empty room, then up another set of stairs. There you'll find the pool. After you work out getting there I found it wasn't very relaxing. Even the hot tub just mediocre. My advice, don't waste your time unless you have children and you're doing it for them. Then it would be worth it. The pool area is extremely child friendly. The location to things in the surrounding area is very nice, there are lots of things to do just minutes from the hotel.

The hotel is very nice (but a little dated). Its location is ideal, our room was HUGE, and all around, it's pretty clean. The bar and the meeting space for the wedding reception being right there was awesome. I'm most impressed with my experience after I checked out though. I live all the way in Kansas City, and I got home, realized I didn't have my Apple Watch, and started panicking. I wasn't sure if it was at the hotel or not, but I called and asked for them to keep a look out for me. Housekeeping found it, the front desk employee wrangled up a charger (it was dead), and called me back the next day to ask for the code to make sure it was mine. They then agreed/took the time to mail it vs. me having to drive almost six hours each way. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Arrowwood! A+ customer service. We will be absolutely be staying with you guys again next time!

Great location...though..it's NOT a resort. It is a Hotel and conference center. Layout is horrible, not handicap friendly. There is no elevator for wheelchairs, bit they have a pool lift???? Seem redundant to have when a wheelchair dependent person can't even acsess the grounds lol. HOTEL is clean and wound recommend to you for accessibility to all the attractions in okoboji. Outdoor poor is only accessible through the restaurant 😢

Even though the hotel is obviously older than I expected, it is still well kept and nice. The room was comfortable, and very clean. I was there for a writer's retreat, and became ill with a nasty virus and had to leave earlier than my 3 night stay. They were compassionate enough to refund me my last night's charges, and help me load my car when I left. Very nice staff. I will definitely use them again for the next retreat.

Stayed for a bachelorette weekend. Not impressed. Our reservation was messed up from the start. We booked two rooms they only had one reserved for us at check-in. They quoted us a price over the phone and then ended up charging $60 more per room at check-in. The rooms were outdated and smelled musty. There was only one mirror in the whole room for 4 girls to get ready with. The continental breakfast was all out by 9am and when we asked the front desk to restock cups for coffee she looked at us like we were stupid and said "ok." The breakfast was gross looking and super messy. It's a $65/night hotel at best, charging $225/night. Will not stay there again!!

Not a bad hotel. The front staff lady was very sweet! A little off-putting to have to sign a waiver in order to use the hotel pool, but it makes sense. Our room, though, was not the best. One of our blankets smelt extremely musty, there were spiders in the bathroom, stains on the walls in the bathroom, and overall the area just felt kind of grimy. I feel like the cleanest thing in the room was the mirror itself. The beds themselves are relatively comfortable! A/C worked just fine, and was a nice location. Close enough to Arnold’s Park, the lake, and Walmart for any quick stops. The walls are a bit thin, but nothing awful. I would definitely say a revamp of the place is needed, as the hallway on the 1100 floor is quite dark and dreary. But, frankly, you get what you pay for.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. If you like a firmer pillow than bring your own. After lunch on Monday we were pretty much the only ones using the pool and hot tub. Staff was friendly and very helpful with all our questions. Would go stay again. Probably do a longer stay or change it to Monday to Wednesday.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Arrowwood. The venue is gorgeous and made for a smooth day! Laura was very helpful and made the process super easy. They provided so many amenities that I didn’t have to worry about renting from other vendors. Highly recommend any engaged couple to have their wedding at the Arrowwood!

Mediocre room. Dirty and stained comforter. Toilet plugged the first night.Supposedly accessible room causing me to either walk a long distance (I am in pain when I walk) , or go down steps(more pain).Pool and spa was inaccessible for me to steps yet again.Yes, accessible room was required at booking 3.5 months in advance.Continental breakfast was very poor and food ran out Sunday morning.

We had a large family gathering here and we reserved one of the meeting rooms…that worked great for our day. That was about the best thing of the stay. The pool water was cold, beds are lumpy, the room was extremely hot so we had to run the AC ( it is mid Nov) and kids running up and down the hallways at 11 Pm. The worst thing though was we went to breakfast at 8:15, there was a line for the food and they already were out of yogurt, boiled eggs in bag, cooked eggs, just about out of sausage, and almost out of waffle batter and the lady said they were not making any more. Ridiculous for a Saturday morning and the hotel is full.

Whatever you do, Do Not stay in room 1105. There is a smell in that room that is putrid and won't go away. We made the front desk aware and they offered to put an ozone machine in the room (we couldn't be in there for an hour while the machine ran) to help take away the smell. It helped somewhat...the room still had a smell, but it was different and not as bad as before. Unfortunately, this was only temporary and 4 hours later it stunk again. It made me gag and dry heave. I had a room spray with me and that couldn't even touch the smell. I couldn't leave fast enough in the morning. No shower, no breakfast, just up and out of there! We had also asked about getting a different room, but because we needed 2 rooms next to eachother (traveling with 4 kids and they don't have suites) they couldn't move us. Even though the parking lot was nearly empty. I suspect they just didn't have enough housekeepers because I could see that the room on the other side of us was empty, but not cleaned. I noticed several other rooms the same, curtains open, lights on, empty, but not cleaned. So that's unfortunate they're not able to find enough help to keep up with everything.*In response to the owners response*If you read a few of your other Google reviews there are people that mention awful smells throughout the facility. I'm sure some rooms are totally fine. But, they should ALL be fine. I wasn't going to mention our plugged sink because maintenance did come right away - which was awesome - but, the man smelled so bad. His BO overtook the original stench while he was in our room. Part of being a manager is having those hard, and uncomfortable, conversations with employees about personal hygiene.I see so much potential here, but a lot of work needs to be done to be top notch. Thank you for responding.

The hotel is serviceable but dated (stained carpeting, random stairs everywhere- not good for someone in a wheelchair, walls are thin, and lighting is questionable in the room- dark and the desk lamp was flickering). There was a musty smell in the room and go be honest the hallways smelled like sauerkraut. The breakfast was better than I expected (waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, cereal, etc). The pool area was pretty nice, although the bottom of both of the pools could use a coat of paint. The pool and breakfast brought my ranking up to 4 stars from 3. Also, it was not busy at all so the thin walls didn't bother us too much (we heard someone singing a few doors down but they stopped after a while and it wasn't late).

This was a total disappointment from the start to the finish. Arriving there we expected a balcony which was highlighted in the website. The room was very dated, the lighting in the room was extremely poor. If you were living in the land of the hobbits you would be able to shower but the shower head was below your neck. The toilet sat next to the shower and with the combination of the two you had limited space for a shower or to go to the bathroom. We were given a flyer when checking in to the hotel that listed al the things available and it mentioned a continental breakfast each morning and a buffet brunch on Sunday's. This lead us to believe the brunch came with the room but come to find out when we were getting ready to leave after the brunch the waitress asked to bring our check. After checking with the front desk we were told that the restaurant IN THE HOTEL is not part of the hotel??? Well if I'd known that we wouldn't have eaten there which with 4 people cost us over $80.00. What a joke. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy let alone a friend or family member. DO NOT STAY HERE, a total waste of your money.
