This is the messiest dollar general I’ve seen the isle are always packed full of boxes and stuff is always a mess and on the floors. Some isle will be so packed with boxes you can’t even get down them. There always seems to be workers just walking around the stores rather than putting things away. I’ve had to move carts to get to something that I’ve needed. It coulda really use some improvement.

Came in one night that a samatha was working. That needs some training or to be fired. She didn’t want to help when I asked for something. And she gave customers attitude. As long as she works there. I will never step foot back into that DG. I will drive to indee if I need anything. I’m surprised the district manager hasn’t stepped in.

Great store has a variety of cuts of steaks,chicken etc, very helpful an they know their meats. This store has it all.

Overall good experience. Small wait at the register, no big deal. Was looking for Chili Beans, but they were out. Prices are good. I'm usually always able to find what I need. Nice and friendly staff

This dollar general had great customer service! The isles were free of carts and merchandise. I enjoyed my visit here as a customer.

There was 3 people needing help and 2 people working but the girl decided not to help others and went outside for a break, while others were just waiting.

The employees are very helpful and friendly. No matter what, I seem to always leave there, feeling as if I will have been given special attention. Like someone has just gone an extra mile for me, just because. Keep up the good work you guys!!!!!

Getting better at putting inventory away and not leaving it in the aisles. Though, I might suggest during cold and flu season, if your employees are symptomatic, you might consider hand sanitizer for their use at the checkouts.

I just wanted to say thanks so much to the Manager at this Location, Her name is Amy. She had seen my co-worker and I putting a care packages together for my little brother that is in Kuwait right now. She decided to pay for all of the items which was two flat rate boxes full of goody's and it was a little over 65 bucks worth of stuff before she even knew how much it would have been. She deserves a very special thanks and this is what I love and fight for this country is people like her. People have no idea how awesome it is to get care packages and this lady truly understands. So that being said thanks Amy for all you do. God bless and Merry Christmas

A "DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT" since the newest, well-seasoned, courteous and respectful Manager, Nick, came on board. He came in like a positive, driven whirlwind, to bring this DG location up to the standard of the company. BUT, I believe that he and his current staff go ABOVE AND BEYOND the company requirements. The only drawback or negative that I can come up with is actually NOT the fault or decision of the local staff, but the Corporate heads who usually do not live in the real world. LOCATION- is good, but they deseperately NEED A NEWER AND LARGER BUILDING!!!(*****A fifth star will be given when Corporate greenlight's a bigger and better location*****)In my humble opinion, I believe that profits would soar if they had more room to deal with. There is more competition in town now, however, there are lcertain things that you can only find at Dollar General. Perhaps if a local petition was started and then forwarded to the Corporate offices, they would reconsider the much needed expansion.Anyway, I enjoy going to DG now, because I am able to get down an aisle without 10 boxes blocking my path. The products are always lined and organized so neatly, (until there is the self-absorbed and disrespectful customer who picks something up and decides they don't want it and are too lazy to walk back and put it where it belongs or allows their kids to run through and knock everything down).If you haven't visited the Oelwein Dollar General for a long time, maybe think about giving it another go around. It is much better and I feel they actually care and take pride in their job.Way to go, Manager Nick! Miracles do happen! 😀

Good deals and friendly staffOnly thing hurting their rating is the long checkout line. I know it happens but why is 1 register opened and the other clerk is following people around making you feel like a thief

You need to walk around the store to find a cashier just to check out. I am absolutely serious. It happens I think 50 percent of the time.Dollar Tree is coming to town. THANK GOD !

No waiting in line. Had what I wanted and returned 2 items with no problems. Old building. Would be great if they could find or build a bigger store. Pretty limited in space and limited with an old building

I mean, its better than nothing, but this place just looks bad. The aisles are very narrow and high up, merch is all over the floors, stuff is scattered all over the store, its just super cluttered.

Need to keep merchandise of the floors cloths ect always stuff sitting in the way. Also be nice if tge items im looking for were not in 3 different isles need to put in one spot not several.

Very poor store, shelves are empty with the bins in front of shelves, you can't walk down the aisle with out knocking something down. Very poor management in Oelwein Iowa. They never have KABOOM in the foam bottle.

Good place for mostly everything someone would need. if you can't find something most likely it's still on one of the giant charts blocking almost every single aisle.

Well stocked and managed store. All COVID safety precautions are in place. A safe place to shop at for us older folk. Will be back.

Overfilled isles with employees complaining about the store not having room for what comes in on truck. Feels like Dollar General!Mostly teasing there, but really new staff that has come in the six months or so is not too friendly...

Like most Dollar Generals I've been in, this place is a complete mess. Still a good place to pick up small cheap items when quality isn't a priority.

The store is rediculously crowded. There were shopping carts and racks full of merchandise in almost every isle. The staff is friendly enough, but there are a lot of tripping hazards throughout the store.

The Oelwein store should have a food section like the dollar General in Independence Iowa, that town has multipal grocery, and in this town one grocery store holds the Monopoly.
