Contacted dealer yesterday about a vehicle they had. Price was listed online. Told salesman I was interested and wanted to make a deal. He said he would not honor the online price as he thought he could sell the truck for more. Like $2000 over MSRP. He said he had another person that may have interest in that unit and had a trade. Said he is a small town dealer and does not have a lot of stock to sell. I purchased a similar vehicle from another dealer today. It's unfortunate dealers are taking advantage of supply issues and inflating purchase prices which will hurt resale when the supply chain catches up. I hope he sells it to this other person he was talking about. I was "a bird in the hand"
