We stopped at this location today since we had an event to be at in town. We ordered a coffee and regular sugar donuts.Our coffee drink was so yummy! We really enjoyed it. As for the donuts, I was disappointed in them. The flavor was good but honestly wouldn’t even call them “donuts” as the were simply tiny rings of dough. Obviously I know they are meant to be mini but these had zero rise and seems like it wasn’t worth the money. See photos below.We’ve had these donuts in the past in DSM but they were not at all the same. I’m glad we didn’t get specialty ones as they are more expensive.We thought the staff was really kind though! Sweet girls who seem to enjoy their job.Kid-friendliness: The girl at the register was really kind!

I love this place! The donuts are yummy!They have really good Chai - that's definitely something I usually get.Just had their vanilla latte this morning! Is pretty tasty. Maybe it has hints of being a little burnt. What I really love is the COFFEE ICE CUBES! My coffee won't get watered down!

My grandsons favorite place!! Always wants these when he comes to our house....and a smoothie!! Loves watching them make the donuts n top them! All staff has been super nice!!!Kid-friendliness: Kids love watching them make n top the mini donuts!!

I loved this location! The store is welcoming and decorated well inside. There is a drive through which is convenient. I recommend going inside at least for your first time!There are many drink options hot and cold. They also have several sugar free syrup flavors. Of course the mini donuts are amazing.There is a good amount of seating inside & merchandise to purchase.

Such a fun place to stop before work! Quick service and great flavors. So many options!!!More exciting than stopping at a chain coffee shop 😊 $12 for 6 donuts and a medium coffee. Loved the chocolate banana mini donuts & my almond cheesecake coffee!

Used the be our favorite place to stop for breakfast and coffee. The last couple times the service is AWEFUL! We sat in the drive through with no one in line for over 10 min for a single cup of coffee. Meanwhile starbucks across the street served 20 drive through customers. They blamed the wait in a new employee training but that's been the excuse twice now.Long time customer but they have officially lost our buisness.

Great coffee and sandwiches. I highly recommend the "Mahalo" sandwich. It's delicious. The new manager is great and very friendly.Update. Went again today and great service again. Super friendly fast and great!

First car into drive through 8/15/23. Waiting for one sandwich. Felt bad about people in line behind me. Asked drive through attendant if I should pull up. Pulled up to parking. Waited over 15 minutes for one sandwich. Had to go inside to get my sandwich. No one knew about the order. I got my coffee through the drive though. Given two tags for mini donuts. Did not want mini donuts. Not sure what goes on inside. Buyer beware. Will not come back. Their good but not that good.

This is very fun little shop. We just moved to Iowa from Oahu. It was refreshing to see items which were familiar on the Islands. The coffee is authentic to the flavor found on the big island, and their spam sandwiches make perfect sense. The donuts were good as well. I would give this place a try if have ever visited Hawaii. A great little piece of Aloha!

Visiting from out of state and my brother said this is one of his fave spots and it's also down the street from his house. I told him I wanted some place I could not get in Atlanta and he took me here. And it did not dissappoint! Being a manager in retail and having just quit serving after 15 years, I know good things take time and no two days are the same for staff. Only drive thru was open, but for the line of cars vs our wait time it moved in an acceptable manner. The two team members who assisted us at both the window and speaker were patient and helpful as we ordered for 5 people. The food is made super fresh to order and it tastes and looks that way too. And I enjoyed my lemon lime drink with tutti fruitti added. Idk if I will have time to go back before I leave this wknd but when I come to Des Moines I will always stop in. Keep up the great work!!

Absolutely ridiculous service. There this morning at 7:40 (sign on door says 7:00) and doors were locked. Finally seen a gal at the register and she Nodded her head No. Was there 6 months ago at the drive in and they refused to take my order because it was more than a box of donuts (no sign saying this that I could see). Literately made me back out of the drive-in. Don’t know who managers this location but if not the owner, they need fired. If it is the owner, no wonder they have a hard time finding people for Employment.CANT WAIT FOR STARBUCKS TO OPEN!

I would 100% go there over any of the chain coffee shops. The coffee is fantastic! I love their little breakfast foods and donuts are amazing. Although while our most recent visit they were training their staff. The manager was incredibly polite and very understanding and accommodating with the guests while training her new staff. 100%. We will be going back to this place because of the great service and delicious coffee

We love Mahalo’s!!! We had them cater our wedding and it was amazing! Everyone loved the fresh donuts and they brought so many toppings!!!Their staff was so kind, easy to work with, and fast at making donuts!If you’re going in store I highly recommended the blueberry mini donuts and getting coffee cubes! Their like ice cubes for your iced drinks, but coffee so as they melt your coffee doesn’t get watery. One of the BEST ideas, I love getting iced lattes with coffee cubes it makes my coffee taste great all morning!Thank you for being part of our big day! We will be back again soon!

After a few pleasant experiences at the WDM location I figured I would stop a bit closer to home on Saturday morning for a sandwich and coffee. After coming in and up to the counter I was pleasantly greeted and told that it would be just a moment before my order was taken. I have no issue waiting, especially during a rush, but I quickly heard another employee yell "Do not take any more orders until we're caught up" which obviously contradicted what I had just been told. After about 5 minutes waiting I put in an order for a cappuccino and sausage croissant sandwich. After sitting down for a few minutes I heard my name yelled and stood up to find where to go. I ended up having to walk past the existing line up to the front counter to grab my drink. After a few more minutes I heard my name yelled again and stood up but as I approached the counter an employee stepped out to hand me my sandwich (not a big deal just slightly confusing.)Unfortunately my sandwich was room temperature when I received it. I would rather wait a few extra minutes for a good fresh sandwich than a rushed cold one. While sitting and eating I could tell that they were very busy but struggling to communicate and keep up. One employee (I assume the manager on duty) was incredibly loud and rude to her employees. The overall execution seemed lacking and was made very apparent to everyone in the store based on how loud her complaints and commands were.Overall I believe that this was just a one-off experience (I hope) but it has definitely shown me that unless some major operational change happens in this location I will continue to go out of my way to visit the WDM location.

Has good food and good coffee but the organizational skills and execution is slow and painful to watch. I have turned away after waiting in the drive thru line on more than 1 occasion due to waiting 6 cars back and not moving after 10/15 minutes. I have also been inside when they lock the doors and don't let any more customers come in because they can't handle simple drive thru orders. I think some training would go a long way. Definitely are going to need to do something before Starbucks opens.

Wow.. such a struggle on a Saturday morning. Sloooow service (at least one person left without their order because the wait was so long), orders going to the wrong people, lukewarm coffee, dirty bathrooms, dirty tables, and overflowing garbage. No managers to be seen, but they were texting the staff while they were trying to take orders - making the long line wait even longer. I hope they see this review - it was bad.Donuts were delicious as always, but not sure was worth the experience, sadly.

I went in tonight craving some of their s’more donuts. When I walked in and could tell the young two girls were stressed! There was no manager there with the young girls. Summer and Makylee deserve a raise for their good customer service and being able to work under pressure!! As someone that has been in that same situation it is not ok! So Mahalos please make sure you are treating your employees the right way or else your gonna lose all of them!

Wonderful coffee and donuts! There's a coloring table for kiddos while waiting for fresh donuts!! The only thing lacking was a changing table for my baby. We had to go to the car for a diaper change. 🙃Kid-friendliness: Coloring station with crayons and coloring books!
