I like the new Fairway in Norwalk. However, upon completing my order, they asked if they could help me take it out to my car and I said no that’s fine. As I was walking out the door I got asked again if I needed help taking them out to the car and I said no but thank you. As I got to my car, I realize someone was walking behind me and grabbing the bags out of my cart and wanting to put them in my car for me. I’m not sure how many times I need to tell them but I don’t need help.

New store is very nice and well set up. Employees are typically friendly and helpful. Selection is good but if you don't catch something on sale the prices can be a bit high compared to other grocery stores.

Maybe being the only game in town gives you some leverage. Going to their Norwalk location was mostly a disappointment. The selection was thin and unremarkable. The prices are way out of line for the selection. Item prices are over dollars (not pennies) more than other stores that are a short drive out of Norwalk.

The best thing about Fareway is the customer service and the variety of quality meats! We are getting ready to open a new, larger Fareway store in two days! We are all excited!

I have a daughter that is 25 that lives in Norwalk IA. that is sick with flu. I live 2 1/2 hours away from her, so I am not able to get to her what she needs. It breaks my heart that I can’t help my child, so I called Fairway asking if I could hire someone to drop off some food at her door because I couldn’t find anyone that delivers in that area. she literally lives right down the street from Fairway and Seth the manager on duty was not willing to help me out at all. This is such poor customer service for a store that prides them self on holding family values at the highest regards. She was asking for mash potatoes and I told him I would pay a 30 dollar delivery fee and he wouldn’t help me. Shame on Fairway shame on Seth especially at Christmas!!!

Bought a strawberry rhubarb pie from the bakery area, not refrigerated and not frozen. It was on a table with other baked goods with a fareway label and it said packaged itoday’s date. three hours after I brought it home and it was sitting on the table I went to have some and discovered it was frozen solid.. so for all I know it could be a year old. No way of knowing.Extremely dishonest and misrepresented for sure

The Norwalk community is rapidly growing, as are the needs of the people who live here. The new Fareway will be a great addition to the Norwalk community. However, it would be extremely helpful if Fareway would be open on Sundays. Fareway promotes that they serve the community. Yet anyone who is in need of a grocery store on Sunday, has to drive 7.5 miles for groceries when Fareway is 1-2 miles from our homes. Fareway needs to come into the 21st century, and serve the Norwalk community. Please, anyone who shares my sentiment contact Fareway management and let them know what you think.

I’m from out of town. I walked in there this morning and everyone were so nice. It was 7:30 am. Lots of Good Mornings and hellos. Very well run and respectable store! I live in Creston and It would be nice if our Fareway was so greeting. Thank You! You set my mood for the day!!!

Generally the most pricey grocery store next to Hy-Vee so not exactly the best only grocery store for a town that has many familys that need good priced groceries but it has the most friendly staff and is always clean.

I have recently started doing grocery pick up at Fareway after having a baby this summer. I cannot tell you how easy this is. The website is easy to use and I always have the friendliest people bringing out my groceries: especially Mary & Peiton! If you haven’t tried this service, it’s a must.

Its a nice grocery store with a nice selection and kind workings. No phone number needed for rewards card or anything like that. Nice huge cut to serve meat section. Probably the primary grocery for those living in Norwalk.A little pricey for my taste and I find myself going to the HyVee more often to save money And get a better selection of products. They are closed on Sunday and some holidays I believe, I have been there several times in the parking lot on Sunday only to realize that I should’ve just gone to the Hy-Vee.

Very friendly staff! Most the teens that work there are very helpful too, but just like lazy or rude adult workers you run into a few teens that way too! Store is always clean and organized. We always enjoy our visits to fareway. They even help catch your running toddler from running out the door when your paying. Then help put his coat on!

I had forgotten a bag there in the checkout. Instead of me having to go back and pick it up, the manager delivered it to my house which was over 20 miles away! I was extremely happy that they went above and beyond. A true family store!

It is always nice to go here when you want a fast trip for basic groceries. You do not spend too long in here when your just trying to get the basics. Only complaint is the produce. Vegis are usually great, but the fruit is always so/so

8:05 pm both google and your answering machine say open till 9pm. I head the 20 minutes there....closed. maybe update both when you decide to close early,it says closing early tomorrow. I could have just went to Hy-Vee INDIANOLA.

They are extremely helpful, willing to price match larger stores, generally have great sales, I love it as a small town store! Didn't care for their store ground beef due to level of grease when cooking but it was flavorful

Good grocery store to pick up missing items in a pinch. However, they are lacking in fresh seafood and I avoid fresh fruits and vegetables since they don't have enough turnover and they tend to rot very quickly.

As a lifelong customer for of Hy-Vee being a very satisfied customer I recently moved to Norwalk which there is not a Hy-Vee but there is a Farway store which the chain is known for their superior meat products of which I agree. I have started to shop at Fareway. I went today to pick up several items.I have a young relative that works as a cashier after standing in a long line it was my turn I was very happy to see this person that I am proud to see working and becoming a responsible young adult. When it was my turn I was told they couldn’t check me out because I was family. I was very perplexed and didn’t understand. It seems Farway has policy against checking out family,which I thought odd for a store that boasts family owned and family oriented.I then had to leave that line and get I another.I voiced my displeasure and embarrasseent not only for myself but my young relative that you don’t trust your employees enough to check out family. How about friends people you may have a cursory realationship with or people from church that you pray with.I would like to know who decided that it is only family you can’t be trusted to check out.I didn’t become disruptive or loud which is my response to such assanine unfair and nonsensical rules to not endanger my relatives job. But what I will do is tell everybody who will listen about this injustice.And finally I will drive back to DesMoines to Hy-Vee to do my grocery shopping where they trust their employees to check out family.

I wish fate way would teach their employee to sack groceries better. You dont put all can goods in one sack, or put soaps and cleaners with eatable foods.When loading the cars dont just throw our groceries in the trunk.
