Just in the last year, my Maggie actually looks forward to the vet...I think she just loves the extra attention and treats.

Edit: Dr. Ryan and the techs saved my dog's life. He and his team on 2/14/22 went above and beyond for our dog Lucky. They were able to assess our dog and run the correct testing to find the cause and issue. He listed to our concerns and cared for our little guy so well. He met with us in person to go to over how to apply medications and steps going forward. Family Pet Veterinary Center and their Animal Dentistry Referral Services went above and beyond to help when we needed them most. Our sweet kitty was suffering from mouth pain and refusing to eat and drink. We were heading into the 4th of July holiday and we were in a near panic not knowing if we could get her through the holiday while people were off. Our normal vet was completely unavailable and not answering their phones. Anne, the client care coordinator, will forever have my gratitude. She spoke to me on Saturday and Sunday when my cat's condition seemed to be worsening. Taking my call on the weekend when I wasn't even an existing patient! She worked with Dr. Jen to squeeze me in on Monday morning even though the clinic was closing early. Dr. Jen and team spent the entire morning diagnosing my cat's issue and FINALLY giving us answers. Anne and Dr. Jen continued to be in contact and available via text or phone to answer any of my questions, even on the holiday. They were always there to help and provided answers in an extremely timely manner. Their services stand out. Honestly, I am not sure what we would have done without them.I read some people say that the vet is expensive; unfortunately vet bills are rarely what we expect, and they can sure be more than we might want to spend. But, everyone was abundantly clear and up front with pricing, so we always knew what a procedure, medicine, etc. would cost.

These folks are the best...... So far. They assisted us with an animal emergency when we didn't have time to go to our normal vet. The staff was awesome with my less than perfect I'll be bringing our second dog there for her next scheduled visit.

I'm new to Family Pet Vet Clinic as of March 9, 2023, when I took my cat Hunter in for weight loss problems. I took him in this last week for his two-week follow-up check after giving him medication for two weeks.Everyone there seems to genuinely love all of the animals. The nurses told me that Hunter behaved very well for them and was given a big "Meow" on his paperwork, which they said is very good!I'm so happy with this clinic and highly recommend them!! 🐱Carole Jean Larson

Dr. Jen explained the procedure for my mom's pup and then called when the x-rays came back the pup needed 2 additional teeth extracted. The process was smooth, but not inexpensive. Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional, and Dr. Jen did really good work.

My senior dog (12 years old) had dental surgery at Family Pet Vet. We had a great experience and I would recommend others to have their pet’s dental procedures here! They kept me up to date, even calling me twice during the procedure to let me know how things were going. I felt nervous after dropping him off but reassured by every call that I got updating me on his condition. The notes I received on his chart were very thorough and explained in terms that I understood fairly well even though I am not in a medical field. This is a great place that has caring vet techs and specializes in dental procedures!

Dr Mathis and Anne were really great to work with. They explained everything very clearly and we did not have any surprises along the way. My cat had several teeth removed and is now healed, healthy, and back to normal.

They are great with my cats. They know how to handle them well and took good care of them during their appointment. They are currently having all customers wait in the car while they take the pets inside. They have new updated payment software to pay outside. Great social distancing. 🐱

Out of all the Veterinary Clinic's, this has the best pet care. It's a tad bit pricey, but the care your pets get is top notch! The staff is wonderful, they love your pets as if it was their own pets. Dr. Ryan, great man and vet doctor. I trust these vet Clinic and their staff to care for my little baby pugs!

Simply wanted an estimate never received one. They sent me an email with a pet insurance application so I reached out again and was told it could vary. Which I understand if issues arise but I just wanted pricing for a spay & 1st round of short. Horrible customer service!! I will stick with my current vet All Creatures Small

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Mathis and the staff at Family Pet in Norwalk. We were referred to her by our regular vet due to her oral specialty when we learned our cat had Salivary Gland Carcinoma. She performed a highly complex surgery on him and has given the best care possible in the months following. It has been a long road for our cat and she and her outstanding staff have been there every step of the way. We’ve continued to drive 40 minutes to doctor there because I can’t imagine trusting anyone else as much as I’ve grown to trust her. Our kitty will inevitably lose this battle but he is doing better than I would ever have imagined right now and I credit that to her tireless work to provide well researched options for us to ensure he has the best possible quality of life. Thanks for so many things, but most of all, the peace of mind we have because of the wonderful people at Family Pet who are fighting for him! You guys are the absolute best!

Absolutely wonderful. I'm a pet parent who worries about everything and know that I can be annoying but they were great answering all my questions and letting me know what I can do. The vet was amazing with dealing with my iguana. Definitely reccomend. Very nice. Great service.

Great clinic all around!! Have been to many other vets in the past with a number of different pets, and this one is by far the best! The staff goes above and beyond to make both the customer and pet feel at ease. Their knowledge and expertise is evidenced by the care they provide.

I was nervous about visiting a new vet clinic with my 10 year old sheltie. There are quite a few reviews and neighbors who have mentioned high sales pressure here. I have to say, this was not my experience and I'm glad I took a chance! They seem very caring and didn't pressure me to buy anything. Thank you!!!

We have three dogs that we love very much and trusted to the care of this vet, but it seems every time we went in we were overcharged and the dogs were misdiagnosed. We used to have four dogs. We took one in because he was in extreme pain and they told my mother in law that he had ear mites, a UTI, and worms and that we needed to treat all of our dogs for ear mites and worms. This set us back about $1200. We realized shortly thereafter they made a mistake, and took the dog into urgent care.He had a broken back. How do you manage to mix up a broken back with ear mites? I see all these wonderful reviews for this vet on Google, but I have yet to meet anyone who thinks they do an acceptable job. Take your pets elsewhere - you will get better care for less money.

My dog, Tasha, and I want to say thanks to Dr Jen and everyone at Family Pet Vet. I was a bit nervous because she had been going to the same vet for her entire life and did not know how she would react. She was well cared for and not anxious. Dr. Jen is knowledgeable and has an obvious passion for animal well-being. I made a mistake and had accidentally scheduled for another location. Angie fixed me up no problem and got me in later that day. Thanks!

Originally there due to an injury and they were close by. Received the utmost care. Although had to be referred on due to orthopedic surgery, they helped with an ear infection. I have now decided to make this my regular clinic. All staff and the doctor show how much they care for animals. My dog, Misty, liked everyone there. They educate you on necessary shots but do not pressure you into anything.

I was not at all pleased. The technicians were nice to my dog but beware - the vet tries real hard to get you on board for a horrendously expensive course of treatment. Referring specifically to accupuncture. And it did more harm than good. I will never go back there.

The Fear Free technique is the real deal. My dog used to be so afraid to go to the vet. When we arrive here, I don't have to deal with the struggle of getting her in the door. It's a night and day difference! Thanks to the entire Family Pet Vet team in Norwalk!

Dr. Jenn and all the vets here are awesome. They've been there for my girls since the day I rescued them, and even worked to remove a giant tumour from my guinea pig's abdomen. There are many places that would be "Meh, it's just a guinea pig," but the people at Family Pet Vet are just as in love with her as I am, and treat her like the spoiled little princess she is.

Both the veterinarians and the veterinary assistants are very helpful. They are always able to answer my questions and fully explain what is going on with my dogs. In addition, it is very evident that the staff is very well trained. This is the best vet I have ever been to.
