Stayed in Newton this year for the 410 Knoxville Nationals. We went to Hy-Vee for all of our food needs for the week. Clean place with a nice layout. They have a great meat/deli section and everything else you do (and don’t) need 😉 We always hit up Hy-Vee when in Iowa! #thebest

We shop HyVee 2x a week sooo very disappointed with the roasted chicken we purchased that is timed at 2:21 pm today . I PURCHASED THIS AT 4:30 AND WAS SO DISSAPOINTED THAT THere was blood inside so undercooked!! I put in the oven to finish it. I also bought your ribsThat were cooked off the grill hopefully they are ok as they are for the super bowl. Please ask your cooks to be more attentive to Temps and not rush We don't want to be sick. Thank you.

I love HyVee. They are located within walking distance from my home, always clean inside and the staff is friendly. Best produce hands down and the bakery makes the best custom cakes, beautifully decorated. I will never order custom cakes from Walmart ever again they are horribly decorated they are almost always stale and if you get a printed image its off color. Not to mention getting someone to take your order is almost impossible they ignore you like your invisible 90% of the time and not once have they actually been able to enter my order details into the tablet. Not once. Moving on love hyvee 4 stars due to how much they've raised there prices though almost 100 dollars just for milk bread butter and dinner. Sucks

When you liquor store is empty and your employee is just standing around 16 items shouldn't be such a problem but he turned us down and pointed at the 12 or less items. Maybe I shouldn't buy liquor at such a rude environment 🤷‍♂️. Oh and when we went to a normal line the bag lady kept stacking my groceries on the counter instead of putting them in my cart. I guess I should of done self checkout since I did it myself anyways. Managers do better!

I go here primarily for the Wine And Spirits department. Jeremy, the manager, does a great job of getting in what he can for a store of this size!

My brother-in-law passed away. We were in charge of the meat for the celebration of life get together. I asked the meat manager if the meat we were going to buy would still be on sale the next week, because I didn't have the room for the next week right before I had to make it. He assured me it would be. I was finishing up my shopping and he found me and told me it would be on a bigger sale according to the ad for next week, plus if I got it Thursday then for every 50.00 spent there would be a fuel saver on top of it. I was so surprised that he went looking for me to tell me that. Now that is customer service! He deserves a raise for the kindness he showed me during this difficult time! He was from the HyVee in Newton.

The sauce on tenderloin was awful. Potato soup had no soup liquid to it. Just potatoes. Cheddar melts were awesome! Not a good as usual.

Got chicken on Sun and when i picked it up I thought i smelled something odd. Today is monday, i seasoned it but I can't stick it on the grill. My entire house stinks. Called to warn them but never got through. Just sat on hold for the meat dept. Wasnt going to ask for a refund even, I was just trying to warn them. I generally go to fairway for meat but its was sunday. Thumbs down for bad chicken bigger thumbs down for never answering the phone so you can keep selling it to others.

We had breakfast this morning and our server/cashier Ashley was awesome! I was talking about my migraine and she told me about goodies powder and gave me one she had! Not only did it help but our breakfast was delicious! It’s had to find help like this so I hope you appreciate her! Sally Urias

Went to the pharmacy today and the lady behind the counter Susan was very rude. After being out of my medicine for 2 weeks and being told it would be ready in the morning (today) she said you'll have to come back later it isn't ready. I asked why and explained that I called the day prior and was assured it would be ready in the morning. Her response was there has been a national shortage (with an eye roll even). This maybe so, however that wasn't the reason for the delay in getting my medicine. There was something else and I know why, but for her to roll her eyes and blatantly lie to me was very unprofessional and rude. I'm considering going to a different pharmacy due to this lovely employee Susan. 🙄

I understand wanting to make the most money out of what produce comes in. But 2 days in a row I came in and bought sliced yellow watermelon. Twice I asked if I could buy a whole one even offered to pay the 2.99 a pound both times the cashier was not willing to find out so I have spent over 40 dollars on sliced watermelon when I wanted a whole one.

Very large variety of fruits, vegetables, pastas,Fresh garden vegetables. The bakery never disappoints !! Cookies,Cakes,doughnuts,The meat Department has a huge variety of meats,seafood,Hy-Vee also works with local farmers and for Instance the Holton Homestead has an Amazing Variety of Honey and its harvested from the Hives and made into chapsticks,candles,lotions everything is Organtic and safe for the environment.Hyvee is dedicated to the community and thier employees. It certainly shows.

Store is always clean and convenient my only issue and reason for 4 not 5 is due to produce being priced at si kuxh a pound yet they have removed all scales? I'm confused, asked a teller and he too started looking and was confused. Why?

Lovely atmosphere and always super clean. You can always count that the employees will be willing to help. Their meat selection is alright and you can count they have the odd ingredients that most other supermarkets don't have. The deli has good meats for sandwiches too!
