99% of Dollar General stores are dumpster fires. Isles blocked with overstock. Can't get to what you're looking for. Can't navigate through the merchandise piled EVERYWHERE! These stores are a MAJOR fire hazard. Infact, a quick Google search reveals that Dollar General has been fined MILLIONS of dollars for safety violations, yet continues to cram the stores full. Many have been shut down by local Fire Marshals due to the extreme fire risk! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

I ended up going to the Newhall DG because the Atkins one couldn't be bothered to be opened on time. They need to get another person working in the morning, so someone is not alone, and one of them can do price changes and stocking. I went in there for one thing, and it rang up a dollar more than the tag, but I was on a time crunch, so I just told her at the register and thanked her for being opened on time.

Had what I needed. Prices are a little high, but that is to be expected, I suppose. The other option is to drive to the big town.

The employees are friendly and the store is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing and they have great deals all the time and such an assortment of products from groceries to home decor. It's great! And now they have self checkout set up to take not only cards but cash now too! It's so easy and convenient, I love it! To top it off there's never many people there so it's never really busy and the only downfall I see is the parking lot may need a few patch jobs because it is pretty slick in the winter where the standing water sits but other than that I think it's great!

Love these places! They are my go-to for so many things I use in my daily life. Indispensable to me they're all over the place so they're there whenever I need them just got to love the job they've done trying to put one in every small town in America! Took a 7 week trip to Florida and let me tell you that we were everywhere along my way there and back and I don't know what I would have done without them!

The people you have working, are working their butts off. Hire a few people to help put freight away. They are employees not dogs. They all work very hard for dollar general. Show them some appreciation. Give them alittle extra help with freight. The stuff gets really heavy, then the store gets busy. Your expecting alot. I serious hope they are making over minimum wage. Have a heart for the USA .

Tammy is the hardest worker, she stays busy but she always has time for her customers. Help finding things, running cash register, handling managing the whole Newhall store. Tammy does a phenomenal manager of the store. And goes above and beyond for the customers.

Bigger than normal dollar generals so has all your small shopping needs so you dont need to go to the city all the time. Not meant for big shopping lists gets pretty expensive after a certain amount but if you dont mind that you can get pretty much anything you need there food wise. Also has little things like toys some car products and cooking items

Even though they were doing some work on the bathrooms, it was the most up to date Dollar General that I've ever been in, esthetically pleasing and packed with so much more then any other Dollar General I've seen. I believe this was in Vinton Iowa.
