14 cited inspection violations, multiple animal welfare organizations begging USDA to do something, that was almost 7 years ago, yet this place still stands solid. There is absolutely nothing ethical about fur farms, but the fact that even ones who have been reported for horrid conditions get to continue like this, is shocking.

I have purchased from Ruby fur farm on a couple occasions. The animals have always been clean, healthy and well taken care of. Every animal I have purchased have made awesome pets and lived for many many years. If someone gets a pet from them Ruby fur farm cannot control how new owner cares for their new pet. Do your homework before buying an exotic pet they usually require more specialized care than a dog or house cat does. Don’t blame the breeder if you purchased a healthy animal that has fallen ill. But take a good Look at how you cared for it after you got it home. Do your homework to make sure you are able to give the care they require. And be sure you can recognize if the pet is healthy before you buy it. If you prepare and don’t buy on a whim you should not have problems. As I said I have had the pleasure of bringing home a couple pets from Ruby fur farm, took them to vet right aware and they have always been given a good bill,of health. I have had absolutely no problems and have enjoyed the pets beyond their life expectancy.

This family owned and operated business has a rich heritage rooted in Iowa. I’m proud to say my pet skunk Duchess came healthy, weaned, and de-scented from Ruby Fur Farm this past June. This is an AMAZING Fur Farm. I actually got to meet Ruby and she was delightful. I went to the farm to see it's quality and was incredibly impressed. It was very clean, very well kept, the animals had big living quarters, and the only drawback was when the granddaughter left the door to their home open and some of the baby stripers, well... they don't a a great deal of control over their stinkers. Fortunately I like that smell. Beats the pot here in Oregon.

Our family has purchased pets from this location for years. My grandfather had raised skunks since before I was born. We have never seen any neglect or mistreatment of the animals houses here. I am an and will continue to be a customer.

Ruby fur farm has a long history of disregarding the minimal care that the federal Animal Welfare Act requires. Within two years USDA inspectors filed 14 negative inspection reports against this farm. A living nightmare for animals.
