Was driving by and saw the sign for jerky so we stopped. The original beef jerky was our favorite...soooo Smokey and delicious. We also got the pork jerky, I was not expecting much but this was almost as good as the beef. This jerky is nice and thick...not like the store bought stuff. There is also a hot jerky that we did not try.. If you get 96oz of meat they give you a free t-shirt. The people are very nice here too. A must stop.

Unexpected variety in such a tiny store in a tiny town! What can you buy here? Wine, wine and beer making supplies, a gun, smoked eggs, meats and cheeses and all kinds of groceries. It's a fun place to look around

Amazing place! You can not beat the quality, and prices. The meats they offer are phenomenal. The things that they take out of their magical smoker are all delicious. Smoked pork chops are a must. The pork jerky is hands down my favorite jerky, but I would never pass up the beef jerky if asked. I will drive out from Milwaukee just to do some shopping, and will enjoy my meat sweats until I can get back for more.

We road trip from LaCrosse and never miss stopping here. The baloney spread is to die for and lets not forget those smoked pork chops. We also load up on their boneless skinless chicken breasts and a piece of beef jerky. For a custom meat market the prices are quite reasonable and the staff is very accommodating. Well worth the drive. Oh, and the eagles and snow geese in the fall along the river road make for a great little ride.

We don't live nearby but have family that do, and when visiting we always make the detour to swing by and get smoked salmon, cheese curds, bacon, whatever else strikes our fancy, usually to share with other family living far away and/or bring back home with us. We've had others ask us to go by and get the smoked salmon especially. The different flavored cheese curds are superb as well. I don't think we've ever had anything bad, and truthfully usually the best we've had!

Last Saturday (7-31-21) I had my first experience at City Meat Market. The staff was friendly, cordial and made my partner and me feel like friends. It was a great experience and the products we purchased were superb, the smoked meats excellent.

I was skeptical, the place looks like a corner grocery from my childhood and they really didn’t have that impressive of a meat counter. I actually walked back out to the car to call the guy who referred me there, to make sure I was at the right place. Then I went back in and bought $50 worth to try. Glad I did. The summer sausage and pork jerky were in the back, not displayed in the meat counter.We have now had the time to eat a full stick of the summer sausage , a full piece of the pork jerky & also one huge ring bologna....this place is the real deal and I will be back.I’d give the summer sausage a 10/10. It is the best summer sausage I’ve had & I make my own.Pork jerky 10/10 also. Never thought to make jerky from pork but I sure will now. I make beef jerky from top round & this is different and prolly a lot cheaper to make.Ring Bologna 10/10 also. This is my new favorite ring bologna also. Huge thick rings, guessing 2# or so?I see why they sell so much if it! Good stuff!

Great old time locker that's been there forever. The pork jerky is my absolute favorite. Their smoked salmon is delicious. They make spread out of their own home made ring bologna which is great as a cracker spread

This meat market has been in my life and I am 75 years old. We love this place. When I was a youngster, we would go there and I would get to go back where the two brothers were making all kinds of sausage and wieners and watch them come off the line. I haven't been down there for a few years but that is definitely on my bucket list to do. I am so glad it is still in the family..God bless!

Great place for meat. The double smoked ham is amazing. The flavor is rich and delicious. The mild and hot sticks are the best smoked sausage sticks I've ever had. $12.99 a pound. Worth ever penny. The flavor is indescribable.

Aside from the unwelcoming anti-Obama sticker that greets you at the front door, we've always found excellent meat items and friendly service. Their smoked offerings are top notch, we've enjoyed the salmon the most so far. Great cruise stop.

After three instances where trucker friends/relatives mentioned it as the place they make sure to go if they can route through the area, we gave it a shot. Found out they're not kidding around.
