Employees are helpful and courteous. Have the best offerings for meat and cheese locally. The one minus is increased focus on alcohol sales - you cannot make a trip through the store without encountering booze at every turn, including shooters at the checkout.

Gateway is an awesome and amazing store with kind and nice staff. They are also very helpful. The only reason I give it 4 out of five stars is because they are a bit on the pricey side, so for larger families with not much money, its not the first choice.

These kids couldn't bag groceries properly if you designed a course to teach them; furthermore holding their lives accountable for pass/fail. They're inept, incapable of rational decision-making to the point of shoving any random item into any given bag.Even upon inquiring if they would, at the very least, keep the cold items separate(a task so elementary a primate would find it simple), they cannot even do this. They throw bread in with canned items, frozen in with whatever... I have become convinced that the management at this store is just as simple as its employees.The only positive thing I can say about this store is that it is clean. I can't even say the employees are nice! Some of them treat you as if you're offending them simply by existing! This place is ridiculous.

Fareway in Nevada, Iowa is the best grocery store I've been to since moving here. The staff has been really nice and friendly. I'd definitely recommend going to the Fareway in Nevada, Iowa anytime 💯💯💯 I love going to this store, over the years I've met some amazing employees there and developed some pretty amazing friends there.

Alrighty then. It's been 4 months and no one has refuted Brian O'Neal's comment that Fareway is a "great hotel"? I mean, how many people know about their overnight services? Just because the beds are over the meat counter freezer doesn't mean they are comfy!

Was pretty good. Shelves are becoming better stocked. Staff were very helpful. Checker did not have mask on properly but fixed it when I made the request.

Just wish they were consistent with some food products and with shelf prices matching register prices and so on and bundle meat packs would go back pre-Covid way. No reason for them not to change it back. Ok so this part of this review is several months later and things have not gotten any better. Prices have sky rocketed and I know for a fact there is not need for some of it. I wish we would get the fareway back we use to have. UPDATE 08/03/2022. Consistency of items isa little better BUT (Yes there's Always a Butt) Consistency doesn't help a whole lot after you've gotten so frustrated because they've AGAIN moved things around and you can't find anythingUPDATE: SAD DAY Fareway is no longer my favorite place to shop for groceries.UPDATE UPDATE UPDATEITS ONLY GOTTEN WORSEDOLLAR FRESH RIGHT AROUND THE WAY IS THE WAY TO GO

I love Fareway. I been going since my mom moved me to Storm Lake, 40 yrs ago. Meat department is excellent, produce is fresh. I need to bring a car instead of my backpack! I been to Nevada Fareway 4 times. I leave satisfied everytime.

I love fareway but today I was very disappointed to see they have added two self check out stations. I have always loved this store for the number of High school kids they hire. Most it is their first job. I would hate to see that changing.

I live a mile from Fareway and used to shop here for all of my groceries. I now go to Target or sometimes the Ames Fareway. In the last week and a half I have gone in for items and they have been out with empty spots on the shelf. I asked specifically for a certain yogurt to be carried there as they used to carry it and have asked 3 different people being assured it would be ordered, still nothing. Disappointed to say the least. Am wondering if this has to do with management change. Hopefully they will get it all sorted out so I can shop locally once again.

I LOVE this store. All the employees are so sweet. They take your groceries to your vehicle and load them for you. And they always have decent sales and prices.
