Open on Sundays. Has a large selection of items. The prices seem competitive. The staff are friendly and helpful. Meat selection is somewhat generic but meets the need.

Super nice to have a place to get groceries on Sunday in Nevada. Knocking a star for the self checkout that despite my best effort...as lame as it may be...always requires staff intervention that I have to wait on. To give context...Wal Mart in Duff in Ames always gets 1 star...so good job Hy Vee!

I’m glad they’ve opened in Nevada,Ia. I think they are competitive with Fareway. Meat department doesn’t compare. Managers are very helpful. I’m not a fan of self checkout. Especially here because if there’s a problem normally there is only one person working the front and they get busy checking someone else out or stocking product. Like I said ultimately I’m happy they are here. Competition is always good, but you need more help.Mark

The produce department needs help. Poor quality, bad items need removed. Rest of produce is average, but could be a lot fresher. Produce won't bring in customers. If you wouldn't buy it don't put it out of your shelves. Bad experience for a new store.

Not impressed with the overall selection of the entirety of the store it's very catered to easy meals. I wish it had more ingredients for those if you cook often. I cook often so wish the items were more on the cheaper side. The easy already made items cost lower than the stuff you would need to use to actually cook.The store appears to have cheaper food items but has expensive non food items not impressed.

It's not that they don't have some good prices on some things. We have chosen to stop shopping here simply because instead of using the word competitor on their signs inside and outside. They are blasting a store that has served, really served the community of Nevada for and 20 years. To say you're items are cheaper than your competitor is normal... To make it personal, is unprofessional and ugly. Either you serve the whole community and are known by you kindness and respect or you are self serving. What do you really want people to be like in your community... I chose Fareway. I'll happily pay a few cents extra for the respect and the care the community and we personally get there.

We love having this store in town. As a former Hy-Vee employee, we enjoy some of the unique finds in wine and spirits and finding gifts here and there throughout!

It's alright in a pinch, but I wouldn't say it's even average. I paid $130 just to scan and bag my own groceries, because the ONE cashier you had working was too busy rebooting her register. Not a single offer to help bag my groceries, either. You're losing customers by trying to replace humans with a computer to save a buck. Sad this is the Hy-Vee business model of today. At least offer 10% off if you use self-checkout. But most importantly, bring back the "helpful smile in every isle" or change your slogan!

Great prices. Wish I could have given 5 stars but no one knew how to accept EBT and your bank card payment, had to have management come to help and he couldn’t even realize you could use EBT and your bank card also. Need to educate the people who work there.

I had not been to this store yet and my husband and I were coming back into town on a Sunday and needed a few items. We decided to stop here. I was impressed by the selection offered. The only thing I would say that needs to be different is the aisle width. Its hard when there is one other person in the aisle to get by with them there.

So far so good. To new to give a good or bad bout it other than some decent non ad sale price and as with other stores some things are pricey. Quality is good on meats. Don't care for the cheese selection. Not very tasty. I'll steer away from that now. Liquor and wines has more isles than the rest of the store put together just about so that's discouraging.New review in one monthWell it's been over a month and I've come to the conclusion that I can honestly say DOLLAR FRESH MARKET in Nevada Iowa is my all time new favorite store

Such a cute grocery store that we found by surprise. Prices were reasonable even, dare I say inexpensive for name brand and quality items. Add to that, the store is bright, clean, and oh my goodness the workers were helpful, kind, and friendly. Definitely a bright spot in Nevada!

Dollar fresh seems to always have some sale on something. Last week it was cases of beer, my brand for only $15. Today I got chicken legs for 79 cents a pound. Very good price

I LOVED THIS STORE....UNTIL TODAY 🙁 I am new to the area.I purchased a bag of Avocados last weekend. Today is Thursday. There were 4 pieces of fruit in the bag (yes avacados are fruits..who knew lol). Anyway all 4 pieces were/are rotten.I am disappointed because I was told that this Stores' freshness guarantee is 24 to 48 hours only. I do not always eat all my produce within 48 hours. I expected to have my avacados replaced or at least a partial credit.. but I was refused. The Manager was not as kind as she could have been. I guess I am used to the stores up North who gladly replace subpar items...oh well Maybe the holidays bring the Grinch out in all of us...me included..lol I will try the other local store. Happy Holidays ..

Very clean and well stocked store! Knowledgeable and kind employees. EBT / food stamps accepted. Some nice home decor, too, as well as cards, toys, other household goods. I'm particularly excited about their alcohol free/ non-alcoholic section 😀 Ready made food is cheaper than Fareway as well...sometimes I just don't want to cook lunch for myself lol

Love this place. The store manager Matt is very friendly. Joe is amazing very friendly also helpful. My husband works there and he loves it. Very friendly and nice people. I'd go to dollar fresh before I go to dollar general anyday. So glad that we have this dollar fresh.

So nice that fairway in Nevada now has some competition dollar fresh is open Sundays have way more products than fairway and staff is friendly as well as far as prices go some things are cheaper here and some are cheaper at fairway

Having an option for groceries on Sunday is nice. They stock the basics, therefore, don't expect a huge variety. Self check and self sacking is the norm, but, you can ask an employee to do those things for you.

This store is basically a cheaper version of Hy-Vee. Sign up for their text messages for their daily deal. I picked up 80/20 ground beef for $2.99 a pound a month ago.
