This lil guy stole my heart when I saw his ad . He has a deformed ear due to an old hematoma - I saw him at the shelter and adopted him the same day . I picked him up to see how’d he react . He gave me the biggest thank you - rubbed my face. He continues to give me hugs daily . He’s one happy cat 😸 oh I never changed his name - Roger it fits him .

I can't believe how rude the Asian woman in charge was? I wanted to walk the dogs and she says, "We just don't let anyone walk the dogs! She ended up barring me from the shelter and that mean the dogs miss out! That's just ignorant! They want $400 to adopt a dog! Retarded! No wonder shelter is so full! What kind of an animal welfare place is it??

Don’t waste your time if you’re adopting out of state or you can’t put your pet deposit down the day you fill out your application form. They do make it clear that it is a bit of a process if you’re out of state, but what they won’t tell you is that they will decide that They don’t want to wait for the process after you already picked out your cat and filled out the adoption form. Save yourself the time and the emotional energy and go to kings harvest in davenport.

Clean,friendly staff,they're helpful with knowledge of animals waiting for adoption, animals get spayed/neutered & rabies shot with tag Only thing is it's so sad to see there's so many animals waiting to be adopted & loved Pix below are Junior whose name was Jeff when adopted Oct 2020 He was 5 months old @ the time He's very funny, playful,loves attention & has his way letting u know when he wants it Loves to be be held,still acts like a toddler! He's a real joy to have & has always got along with my other cat They're indoor cats & microchipped

This place is really doing a service to their animals, they go above and beyond to ensure the right fit to the right people. They have an amazing meet and greet yard to make sure new additions and existing pets all get along! They return phone calls! They all seem to really enjoy showing up for these animals every day! We are so excited to be adding a new fur baby to our pack!

I was trying to rescue a cat. When they saw on the application that I had a dog, they told me I had to bring the dog in to meet any of the cats I was interested in. Before we could even meet any of the cats, they had to be exposed to our dog first. They brought the cat into the room in a cat carrier and encouraged my dog to sniff through the bars. Obviously, this is a stressful situation, and not the correct way for two unfamiliar animals to meet. And when they inevitably hissed at my dog, I was told it "obviously wouldn't work out" with each cat they tried. Finally, they told me I would have to return the following day, so they could "find" the rest of the cats we might be interested in. When they returned my call, they told me that all the other cats I might want to see are on meds and aren't available for at least 2 weeks. I feel like that was just an excuse to get me to stop trying to adopt a pet.If they have such an over abundance of pets, perhaps they shouldn't make it impossible for good pet owners to adopt one. I went elsewhere, and was able to meet several cats, found one who liked us (the humans), and brought her home. I won't make the mistake of trying to adopt from Muscatine ever again. Huge waste of my time.

We adopted our wonderful pomsky from here a few days ago. She is a wonderful dog and they worked well with us to process her. We went there twice to meet her. As we live in IL we had to have a health cert for her and that took a week to get. But worth any effort! Our Pinot Noir is very happy and so are we. Thank you, Ladies.

I know for FACT you will not find a better facility around that care for these animals if they were their own. They take care of the animals and try to put them in a home that is best for the animal. The humane society isn't like our government with an endless supply of money.

We adopted our cat here, but the staff was incredibly rude and judgemental. We could hear them talking about other people and they were very condescending and unfriendly through the whole adoption process. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive, but I would recommend supporting other local humane societies that care and are more friendly than here. We've since chosen to go elsewhere when we adopted our dog and it was a great experience.

It took to long for me to get out new addition to our family. Other than that it seams like a nice place.I feel they are a little too judgemental about the way people dress, and make decision about people's financial situations, rendering their decision on rather or not to allow someone to adopt an animal. When I asked to go to their "get acquainted" room I was told that they're still deciding on whether or not I could adopt our new addition to our family.

Our family adopted a 1.5 year old maltipoo last week and she has been a wonderful addition to our family. So thankful for this humane society for all of their help and advice. Sent us home with a free vet visit, food and toys! Staff was so friendly and kind! We would absolutely recommend to others looking to add a furry friend to their home or family

My dog has been here a few times due to him wanting to explore the area... He has came out happy and in wonderful condition. And I do believe they groomed him of his winter coat. Yes it sucks I have to.paynyo get him out but they have taken care of him. Friendly staff members and clean facility...

Adopted my dog Georgia from the Muscatine Humane Society almost two weeks ago! Adoption process was fairly simple (was a little wait or my adoption app to be approved) but had a great experience with them!Friendly staff, clean, and animals are well cared for!

It's being some 5 years since the las time here. I dropped our canine, it wasn't fun but staff was friendly and diligent, I had the animal paperwork, a fee was paid, everything took some 20m. Thanks a lot!

If you plan on adopting here just be aware that you will be investigated thoroughly. The application alone would suffice bc they call landlords, vets for other animals in home and things like that. But they also go to your home like they're DHS or police. Seems a bit excessive. I know they want the best for an animal but they treat it like it's a child being adopted.. If you want an easier process to adopt I suggest going anywhere else. Other than that it's well maintained and animals are well cared for.

Our Bo is the best dog ever! He is so lovable and so protective of our other senior dog. Follows him around to make sure he is okay and walks with him every where. He was the perfect match for us. I will get another one if something happens to our Rexie boy. He is 16! Bo is part shih tzu/bishon.

I would give a zero star if I could!! Charging people to bring animals to safety that are not their animals!!!! You're a humane society you're supposed to be equiped for this!!!!!! Y'all make me sick!!!!!
