We needed a place to sleep for a long weekend since our camping plans got messed up with the weather. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. This isn't the Hilton. If you want fancy, go to Grinnell. Bed was comfortable, good water pressure, clean. A throwback to the classic roadside motel. Owners are friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

It is appropriately rated. With the exception of constantly being attacked by a plague of angry flies, the owners are some of the nicest, most hospitable people I have ever met. They are kind, considerate and accommodating. The place is definitely tranquil and cozy but the flies are a real nuisance and you really can't enjoy sitting outside. They really need spray for the flies and keep the lid on the garbage can as much as possible so they aren't so annoying and intrusive. Other than that, I would rate Cozy Country Inn 4.0 or more. It is a place you could comfortably call home.

The owners are the nicest people I’ve ever encountered during a stay anywhere! They were so unbelievably nice to me and kept my comfortable and happy for the entire duration of my stay, which ended up being a few weeks. They fed me home cooked meals EVERY NIGHT I stayed there, which was not only awesome, but was very considerate of them. I was working nearby and actually didn’t have a home, per say at the time and they treated me as if I were family. I can’t speak highly enough of this place and these two incredible people. The rooms are comfy and clean and for what you pay, you get more than you can imagine in quality service and hospitality. If I’m ever passing through Montezuma again, I know where I’ll be staying. I highly recommend Cozy Country Inn!!!

I have stayed here many times in 15 years and I keep going back! Just their name says it all! Very very clean rooms and comfortable! I will be going again over Labor Day weekend. The owners are very friendly and I've known them for a very very long time! Also very affordable rates! Their dogs are also cute as a button. It's the quietest motel I've ever stayed in!

Beds are cozy asl but the air is thick and stuffy inside like an old attic. No complaints other than the tiny stand up showers.

We stumbled upon the Cozy Country Inn last week on our way from MI to WA; it is listed as a pet friendly inn and that was our priority. We had no idea what to expect when we rolled into town about 9ish. To our delight we pulled into the drive of a very quaint retro looking Inn.It is small, but it turns out good things do often come in small unexpected packages. The proprietor is an older gentleman with a lovely bride as he introduces her- "doesn't look a day over 55 " he says with a smile as she comes around the corner from their living quarters attached to the back of the Inn.Indeed not only the lobby and exterior of the Inn are retro,( in a very vintage way) but the prices are low. They offer packaged snacks with orange juice and coffee in the lobby at 630 and friendly chit chat before you check out, extremely pleasant couple super customer service.The room is very simple, but really clean especially the bathroom. The are towels great quality. However the beds are in desperate need of an update in size and quality of comfort; even some mattress toppers would help.That being said Cozy Country Inn is more then accommodating to lay one's weary head for a night on many levels. Oh! They even mailed a trinket we forgot in the room with out any hesitation or request of funds.Cheers

Great place to check in for the night.The owners are friendly and the rooms have a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. They have a tv and are clean. The rooms are older but very nicely kept. Rooms are clean and I would recommend them and will returnLord willing. Thank you for your service!

The owner took us in at 2 in the morning w/o a reservation, even though we probably woke him up. Excellent rate for what you get. Most hotels with these low rates are dingy and unpleasant, but the Cozy Country Inn is not like that at all, in fact it's very homey. We got a double bed smoking room, cozy feel, heat/ac worked fine, hot shower, amenities and complimentary breakfast. If you're passing through Iowa, it is a fine place to stay the night.

The owners were absolutely amaxinging and complete sweethearts. The price was ridiculously low compared to motels in surrounding towns. The room was amazing, with the bed being a king-size feathertop, a flat scteen tv with a Roku, cable and free wifi. They actually have smoking rooms still, which is almost unheard of now a days. And allow pets, and its only 5 dollars more a nigjt. If you are in this neck of the woods you should definetly stay there!!!

Gorgeous little country motel owned by the nicest people. Cheaper than any of the other motels in surrounding towns. Definitely gives you more of a home feeling than staying in other motels

Bed is on risers and the risers slipped and the bed crashed to the floor. Gladly no one got hurt.Would like it if there were shampoo in the shower. Other than that the stay was good.

My daughter and I stayed here a couple nights ago and we just wanted to echo the previous reviewers comments. This place was really lovely and we will definitely visit again if we can. Also would like to add there is wifi as well as coffee and juice in the morning.

An old hunting motel. It's not the hilton so don't expect alot or fancy. But it has all you need for a night stay. And won't drain your wallet. Conveniently located in the small town of Montezuma, Ia. And walking distance to downtown and Casey's convenience store.
