The lavender plants were not blooming. We were told they lost about 400 plants due to the weather recently. Sad! It's a cute place. The gift shop has some interesting locally-made gifts.

No lavender this July. Hope it will grow back soon. It’s a cute place for weddings, have a reception hall, a gift shop, small swing, small outside sitting area, a sandbox for kids.

Definitely recommend stopping by Loess Hills Lavender Farm. We came from Ohio to visit our son and his wife in Missouri Valley. We stayed in Council Bluffs because it was closer to alot of the attractions. We were really happy we made the trip out to the farmIt was a beautiful farm. We shopped in the gift shop to for a good hour..Lol we tried some lavender ice cream that was delish. Of course ended up buying some😂 We bought a few other lotions and lavender related items as well. Really nice gift shop. Hope you really decide to go check it out you won't regret it😉

An awesome shop with lots of home made goodies both in house and from around Iowa. I got a number of great lavender items. I loved the lavender Spritz. Immediate stress relief. Also, check out the book on Iowa women farmers. Mary had a feature in there and it’s so cool to see what all these inspiring women are doing in Iowa!

Beautiful place to visit on a drive through the hills. There were no blooms during our visit due to the cooler spring but the gift shop was open and did not disappoint. There was a lot to choose from and everything is locally sourced and hand crafted. I definitely plan to be back in the future!

We were in the area on their closed day but did turn around in their drive. The owner (male) was working in the parking lot taking things into their small building, saw us and didn’t acknowledge my wave of HELLO. So much for Iowa Nice. We were going to come back tomorrow, but we won’t. It may be your day off, but you can still wave and be polite if you run a business.

We did a day trip to visit here on a Friday. While sampling our newly purchased lavender fudge on their front porch, I set my bag of other purchases down & ended up forgetting it there. I contacted them after I got home (nearly 2 hours away) & realized what had happened. They were wonderful about it. Retrieved the bag & made arrangements to get it to me. Thank you!

I attended the Lavender Festival. It was definitely a fun weekend event that was dog friendly. They had many local vendors and lots of lovely smelling lavender and wild flowers!

The business posted about happily hosting a very harmful politician. I made a comment asking if their business stood behind the politician they hosted, citing some of the dangerous aspects of said politician. Instead of answering, they simply blocked me from their facebook page. I guess they only want supporters of the far right wing as visitors and customers. Very unfortunate as I had previously had a good time at the farm and a simple answer of yes or no would have sufficed.

So helpful getting me the lavender I needed for a wedding. Let me count out little pieces to be sure there were enough to decorate as bride wanted.Also helping me a second time, add some to a personalized picture frame. The bride and groom LOVED IT. I'm grateful for the help soo nice.I wish I had a picture it was cute.

This was a wonderful place to camp. The grounds were beautiful with the scent of Lavender everywhere. The Host provided a generous area to camp and a picnic table. We were there on a Saturday night and the store doesn’t open until 1 on Sundays so I guess we’ll have to come back to shop!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Loess Hills Lavender Farm's spring opening on April 30th, 2022. The music was wonderful. We loved the Lavender and Lemon Custard ice cream samples. Since the weather didn't cooperate to check out the grounds, we look forward to visiting another time, particularly when the lavender is blooming. It looks like they have lots of fun events coming up through the summer and fall.

We arrived late and had to leave early. They were very accommodating and we’re waiting for us when we arrived. Nice flat place to park close to the barn with an outside light. The lavender fields are nice to visit, but the main attraction is a shop packed with both lavender products and crafts made by locals. The owners were also very helpful in telling us about other local attractions.
