We went in around closing but the store was well organized so we were able to find what we needed quickly so they wouldn't have to wait for us to close up. Staff was in high spirits and helped us with no issues. There was plenty of parking when we came and it was a good trip in and out.

The pharmacy was awesome. My dog had TPLO surgery in Des Moines and the vet did not put one of his pain medications in the bag. I got home to Mason, and the vet had to call the pharmacy. The pharmacy filled the medication for my dog and even stayed a little later to make sure my dog had the medication he needed. Thank you, Walgreens!!!!

Mason City Walgreens is an amazing place to get your pharmacy needs met. I recently transferred my prescriptions from Hy-Vee East and I am so glad that I did.They have text reminders, phone call reminders, and auto refills! Most importantly, they greet you with a hello. Finally, a business with actual customer service!!I am happy with the services I have received so far and am looking forward to a continued happy experience.

Love the convenience of ordering my photos from home or anywhere, and being able to pick them up usually in an hour or the next day. Photos always turn out very nice, and there are many different options to choose from, and the best part is you don't have to walk through whole store just to get to photo department. It's a nice store, just that prices are a little higher here on products.

Scheduled online for flu, COVID and shingles vaccinations. The pharmacist told me he would not give me the COVID & shingles at the same time since they are both "live virus" vaccines which is completely untrue. How can I trust this store?

I have a coupon for photos that does not expire until tomorrow. The Walgreens website keeps telling me that my coupon is invalid due to it being expired. I called the store and the guy that I spoke with was very rude and just trying to get off the phone. He kept telling me that if the website says that it is expired than there is nothing that he can do. He told me that only a manager can do something about it and when I asked to speak to a manager he said that there is not a manager around. I stated that it just seems like they are not honoring their coupons that THEY put out. He said that if the computer says it in expired it myst be expired. He was very short tempered and quickly irritated.

I will never shop here again. There customer service is poor. There is a elderly lady here that gives me strife everytime she is working. They are more expensive as well. She did it again that's okay 3/3/2024. Walmart Got my business.

My young adult daughter was trying to handle her own business by transferring a prescription in preparation for leaving for college. Unfortunately after being on hold for 20 minutes the person who finally ended up answering the call at this Walgreens pharmacy made her feel absolutely worthless. She was rude, unprofessional and just MEAN to her. My daughter tried to be as nice as possible but the lady just couldn’t handle her position in a professional way. I wonder if this lady would have acted the same had she been dealing with a doctor. Way to go lady! You just set this young adult back quite a bit in her confidence and desire to maneuver this frustrating world on her own. I hope you know you are part of the problem! Why are there still so many negative reviews on this pharmacy/store for the same issues? Geez!

It never fails, long lines in the drive thru and wait times that are unbelievable. It's obvious to everyone that u need more staff. The pharmacy staff u do have are very polite and helpful. Ordering meds online or over the phone seems to always cause issues with "out of stock" medications with a week wait time and constant phone calls to find out current status. Walgreens used to be a great pharmacy, now it just doesn't cut it.

There have been multiple times where I’ve had relatives make purchases with coupons that are either provided by the company or apps and the employees are not accommodating. Just yesterday my aunt got accused of stealing simply because she was using coupons and was being made to pay in the same transaction as the other individual she was with. Not sure if racial profiling was a factor however this type of behavior by an employee is not acceptable. The manager didn’t do anything about it either. My family will be filing a corporate complaint as this is not the first incident. Going as far as accusing of stealing was also uncalled for.

Wonderful experience last week with the pharmacy staff! They were more than helpful (and it was very close to their closing time), and I really appreciated all the help they provided as I've heard like most places they have been very short staffed.

They have a newer young female employee at our Mason City store and she is the snotties, rudest, spoiled bratt attitude I've ever experienced. Yesterday was the third time she checked me out and I left the store emotionally upset. I have never been treated so poorly. The last time I was there I had a question about where the fingernail polish was moved to and she said she didn't know anything about fingernail polish, she started to walk away and I said "can you ask someone " she rolled her eyes and said she would. I waited a bit and she didn't come back so I went to the next isle and there she was and she walked right by me and did not say one word to me. I mentioned the situation when I was checking out and that employee knew exactly the girl I was talking about. We go to this Walgreens all of the time because it is only 8 blocks away from our home. Your employees have always been wonderful and gone the extra mile but this girl acts like your a waste of her time. I would hate to go somewhere else to shop but if this continues I will. I'm sure by my description you can tell who your new employee is. Please teach this employee proper customer service, although I dont think it will help.

The pharmacy is a joke and a half! The lines are long and they NEVER answer a phone! I have waited on hold on the phone for 30mins drove to the store waited in the drive thru got to the window and seen the phone laying on the counter. When the lady came to help me I was still on hold (you can hear the phone pick up and be placed back on hold you hear movement and noise then the hold music again) all this to be told my pain meds that I order thru the app needed verbal authorization to be filled.... yet nothing tells you that just that it is processing, no phone call from the pharmacy, no email from the app or even an alert from the app. Just processing.... I was told it would take 30mins and to come back for them. Yet the other day while waiting to pick up my sons meds I sat in the pick up line over 25 mins while they filled the order for the car ahead of me (I heard them say we can fill it for you if you want to wait (speaker is loud and I have great hearing) meanwhile I am sandwiched in because there is a car behind me by the time I got to the window there were 4 more cars behind me! Walgreens use to be my go to but I am in the market for a new pharmacy!!!!

I cannot believe how horrible my father was treated this morning at your pharmacy. 82 year old man waiting for meds that were called in the day before while my mother waited in the car close to an hour. She was being transported from the hospital to home care. Horrible customer service!!!!! To make it even worse, very rude attitude toward my father!!!!! To top it off, the manager didn't care. Maybe a good time to replace him and clean house in the pharmacy!!!!! Do not shop there!!!!! They do not deserve your business!!!!!!

I picked up 2 prescriptions tonight at about 6:30 pm. My left arm is in a sling from rotator cuff surgery. Without saying a word about it, the pharmacy tech put my credit card and prescriptions in a bag in such a way that when she slid the tray back out the handles of the plastic bag blew toward me so I could reach it with my right hand. Such service.

11/01/14I would agree 100% with Carol Clark's review from earlier today! Our 82 year old father has to be one of the most patient and accommodating people I know. For him to be upset with his treatment by the female pharmacist this morning (don't know her name) along with the lack of concern by the manager on duty in the Mason City store then it MUST HAVE BEEN BAD!!! My mother, who had just been released from a 2 1/2 week stay at the hospital, was waiting in the car for my dad to deal with this 1 1/2 hour pharmacy ordeal! Prescriptions were purposely called in the day before just to avoid this very situation!!!Not only should the pharmacist and manager be reprimanded but maybe it's time a CVS store comes to Mason City!! Not only will it give customers options with looking for friendly accommodating staff but it will also allow people who travel out of state to have access to their prescriptions via a different pharmacy chain instead of being restricted to Walgreens stores only.

My mom went in today to make a purchase with coupons and the manager was extremely rude. We have had multiple experiences with employees being rude when it comes to making purchases with coupons even though they are through the Walgreens ap or simple paper coupons.

After waiting SIX minutes in the drive thru, at 86 deg, and still not getting anyone to wait on me, I left. I'm SOOOO tired of this. If you can't staff the drive thru, then close it!! It's far too hot to leave people sitting out there waiting and not getting any service. This isn't the first time. The last time I used the drive thru, there was 2 cars ahead of me, and I waited a total of 23 minutes before it was my turn. NO reason good enough for this long of a wait time. You obviously need more staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Incredibly rude and unprofessional pharmacy staff. Called to ask a simple question regarding a refill status because I had filled out a request online and wasn't sure if it went through. Every part of the conversation she was snippy, short and condescending.

Horribly rude pharmacy staff and the manager is the worst. He tried to stare me down with what appeared to be an attempt at intimidation, then threatened to call the police when I started recording him. I've contacted Walgreen's corporate and am sharing my video with them. We shall see, but either way, I've switched to a different pharmacy.

Won't go to my Walgreens anymore. Tried to report something that happened and instead of rectifying the situation and being heard I got threatened with being banned. Apparently it's ok for an employee to make stuff up and spread rumors and when I try to ask about it I get threatened with being banned. Apparently the employees never do anything wrong. They never get held responsible for anything they say or do.

The wait to get any kind of service here is ridiculous. Either your gonna wait in line inside the store or your gonna wait in line through the drive thru. We made a game out of it the last time we had to wait in line.

The woman at the photo area was incredibly rude. With an attitude like that, she shouldn't be working with the public. About time she retires.
