Avoid! I very rarely give a one star rating, but unfortunately I have to now. This place, while cheap, is dirty, smelly, and the service is terrible. We stayed for 4 nights and had to ask 2 seperate days before they would finally even take the trash out of the room and provide toilet paper. The night attendent was very rude and didn't even want to let me use a towel and two washcloths. He said they were dirty and being cleaned. The problem was, the door to the silent laundry was open right behind him. When I called him out was the only time we would give me a towel.Safety: Chain on door was broken.

This place needs some TLC. A little run down. Broken shelf in bathroom ( they did let us know when we checked in - but why not quick fix before new guests arrive ). We had jacuzzi suite, door shut but at night could see light all around ( not a good seal ). The breakfast was horrible. Nothing fresh ( no eggs, no fruit, milk was in a pitcher, gravy for biscuits was burning .. ) I just expected a bit more, our room was not cheap.

Took 15 minutes after arriving to locate someone to check us in. No one was around. A young gal finally walked up and said how can I help you… she was busy changing a battery I guess.Room was not vacuumed from previous visitors because there was dried up mud all over floor.Chair in room was full of pet hair and unknown stains.Bathroom had no toilet paper, I had to walk to front desk to get some. Elevator was none operating also.I won’t stay again

The hotel smelled bad and the ice maker didn’t work. We asked for extra pillows and we’re told they didn’t have any. The bathroom tile was loose. I asked for bedding for the couch and as I came out of the bathroom the hotel door opened and the hotel manager walked right in with out even knocking. The walls were paper thin and all we heard were the loud people next to us and there dog. We had cupcakes for my child that day and used the pool, as they swam the side door to the pool stayed open the entire time they swam. We decided we were going to leave because we wouldn’t get any sleep because the people next door were loud and were charged $ because we sat in the room. I cleaned the entire room and put everything in a bag. We never used the bed or shower but still were charged because we had a small garbage bag there with garbage in it and one piece of confetti on the floor. This hotel is ridiculous and we left it spotless so we shouldn’t have been charged because we choose to leave because it was loud and the place smelled Smokey and stale. DONT STAY HERE!!! Manager was a huge jerk!!!

Easy to miss because it's behind other businesses. When we walked in our room it was dark as only 1 lamp came on with light switch. Noticed chewed on coffee straw on the floor as I reached for a lamp switch. However, the rest of the room was clean. Toilet seat was ratty and our door didn't shut unless you pushed it hard. The guest above us must have had the same problem because the door got slammed so hard everything in our room shook. Water was instantly hot but smelled very chlorinated. We ate breakfast the first morning but a regular greeted us and did more work than the employee. Plenty of choices for breakfast and the coffee was good.

You get what you pay for and at this level this place is about what youd expect.Staff is friendly and management seems to care about the facilities with a good continental breakfast and ok-looking pool.The rooms need work, though on par with my low expectations. Sticky stained carpets, dirty (with food mess stuck) office chair and an overall not clean feel. Like being in a fast food restaurant right after a family of 5 people finished eating.I just about decided to head back to the Twin Cities at 10pm to avoid sleeping here. Dated properties are fine but I felt dirty.The bed was comfortable though and I didn't see bugs or anything alarming so that was good.I wish you weren't relegated to smoking rooms by booking online through other websites but they're trying to drive their business.Overall it is what it is and worked for a place to lay my head during Ragbrai.

I wish I could upload pictures , it’s complete dump! The chair in my room looked like they picked it up out of the garbage! There was throw up in the hallway that stayed there for 2 days! The carpet is dingy and nasty, just a horrible experience I regret being stuck in mason city Iowa this weekend, I wish I could post these pictures I took!

The room was nice. I was right next to a washer and dryer. Being in a house fire, everything smelled of smoke so I appreciated the washer n dryer right outside my door. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and very compassionate to my situation.

Our experience was not very good. First of all I booked a room with 2 queen beds and when we checked in they gave us a room with a king bed. That might have been okay but that is not what I booked, we needed a room that had extra outlets on both sides of the bed for Cpap machines and the extra outlets where not available. Also the bedding on the bed was not the right size, the top sheet was maybe for a full size bed. That did not work at all. Every time I went down to the front desk, everyone was right outside the front door smoking. That is not pleasant walking through smoke to get outside. The air conditioner did not seem to be working right, we either froze or it was too warm. Not comfortable at all. It was a strange room all the way around, the clothes rack was over the desk, weird and not really usable. it would have been nice to have a decent wattage bulb in the bathroom, too. Way to dim to be off much use.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The whole place smelled awful, the rooms were absolutely disgusting. The carpet was literally sticky with all kinds of questionable black stains. The mattresses were stained, and were super uncomfortable. I am almost positive that I was never given a choice in a smoking or non-smoking room, but ended up in a smoking room. Side note - who knew hotels existed that still allow smoking? I endured 2 nights here because there were no other openings nearby(4th of July weekend)I considered going home multiple times, and if it weren't for prior commitments I probably would have. The pool was closed/broken, and there was no hot tub, which is not mentioned anywhere on their site or any third party sites. Long story short, do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of the room. The staff I interacted with were courteous. One complaint - the electric outlets to the right of the bed had no power, but it did not do much to diminish my stay.

Dirty, the whole place smells like an ash tray. Some of the staff were rude, others were polite. We payed for a room with a hot tub, when we turned on the jets, they shot out brown stuff. There were ants all over the bathroom. They did find us another room, which smelled like feet, but they knocked off 50 bucks a night.

Worst customer service ever!!! The front desk guy was rude!!! Had a birthday party there for my kids and he kicked us out of the pool cause he said other people wanted to use it and an hour went by and the pool was empty!!! Got up the next morning and my 7 year old and i had went down for breakfast and she was playing with her party horn at 930 in the morning and she blew it once and he told us we needed to check out and leave!!! Kids also asked to go swimming after breakfast and he told them they couldnt even though checkout wasnt till 11!!! And our tv didnt work in our room!!Very rude and unprofessional i will never go back!!!

From the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out, we had a great experience there. The breakfast was awesome and the best coffee ever! The staff were friendly and willing to help in any way they could. They let us check out at noon when our son's team made it to the championship game. I will definitely stay again

The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice location,close to several stores,restaurants and attractions. The room was clean and beds are comfortable. The pool was fun and the hot tub was nice and warm. We had a great time there and definitely will take our business there again.
