Casual customer service. Excellent room! Clean and conveniently furnished. The bathrooms were updated and practical. Quiet rooms.Breakfast was good, the waffle machine and seasonal pumpkin spice waffles made it!Lobby Coffee was cold and Luke warm - so was water for tea.Otherwise smooth and comfortable stay.

we stayed over thanksgiving for 4 days/3 nights and service was exemplary start to finish. Every employee we intereacted with was helpful, courteous, polite, and we just couldn't say enough good things about them. The hotel should have the elevators looked at (they are nerve racking) and the 'bong' sound is WAY too loud (we were a few rooms away on the 3rd floor but we heard every 'bong' clearly. Additionally, watch your fingers on the bathroom doors, I don't know why but the handle is installed in a way the foor can smash them (we both almost broke fingers). But outside of those (which staff has nothing to do with) the staff is worth it. Thanks to those at Hampton on making our stay so enjoyable.

Please be aware when you call this hotel to book that your transferred to another party that takes your money that is outside of the hotel and this hotel has no Control over it!I had to cancel my 2 rooms due to a breakdown on the way and the front desk assured me that it would be handled and was not!The general manager could not help me with the outside party to collect either! Her name is Brady Bramstead!I would never call this hotel to book!I feel scammed to say the least!Never have received my $438 Refund!Rooms: Never stayed had to cancel due to a break down!

Not a good representation of the Hilton brand. I arrived at about 7:30 PM. Although I had checked in the day before online, my digital key had still not been delivered so I had to go to the front desk. When I got there, no one was present. There was a bell on the desk and a sign with a phone number. I rang the bell several times with no response. Finally called the number on the sign, which rang the front desk. The front desk where no one was stationed. I rang the bell and called the phone for EIGHTEEN MINUTES before a young man finally arrived. He appeared to have come out of the next room. No “thanks for waiting” or “sorry to keep you waiting”. I asked about the digital key. He said “oh they never work”. It was close to 8 when I got into my room. The drapes don’t meet all the way in the middle so you can’t block the street light. There was a weird yellowish stain on the top of the comforter. The shower doors don’t stay closed, they just slide right open so water gets everywhere. Breakfast was fine and the bathroom was very clean.

Overall our stay has been good! The location seems safe, the rooms are very clean ( thank you housekeeping) and staff is pleasant and helpful. Our only issue is that the AC fan doesn't stay running. We are used to running it all night as white noise when we stay at hotels, but it seems these new systems default the fan to only run when necessary. Thankfully once all the kids went to sleep it was quiet, almost too quiet 🤫 . But yes, we would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area!

-Breakfast is 10/10. They had two types of waffle mix and waffle fixings like whip cream, candy bar, sprinkles, raspberry sauce.-Room 8/10. Clean, smelled fresh, the scuffs from shoes on all the exterior doors drags the place down. The thermostat most definitely didn't keep the room cool enough and the fan will not run continuously. If that's an issue for you then bring a sound machine because it was hard to sleep with it clicking off then the fridge going. Bed was great.-Service 10/10 let us check in thirty minutes early. House keeping clearly knows what they are doing and I hope they are paid accordingly! They truly are doing a great job and it shows.-Pool 8/10 clean and they have kid toys there for use. Hot tub is out of service.-snack area could use a refill but clean and nice.- The area is only ten minutes from Clear Lake beach worth the drive to save money and stay in a newer hotel.-Caribou right out front is handy when taking off in the morning. If you don't want the complimentary coffee from the front.Will return!

Don’t pay for a room via 3rd party. They denied it was paid for when we showed a receipt as they had double billed us. They advised us to submit everything to the night help desk as they were unable to assist. We did that checked in later on the status they knew nothing about it. Then we spoke to another guy on-site at the front counter whom was very rude. He said that we needed to talked to the general manager. We asked for their number he couldn’t give it out and that we would have to wait for them to show up. The hot tub has been broken for along time and not fixed. The tile on the pool area is ext slippery even when just walking you slip and fall. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Bed was comfortable except the common Hampton comforters are too heavy/warm for our preference. Room was quiet until early risers banged around and doors slammed loudly. Maintenance could be improved - patch on bathroom wall was sloppily painted a different color, new grout is needed around the bathroom floor, spa was out of order (pool was nice), 2 of 4 ice machines were out of order, main floor bathroom towel dispenser needed repair. Please clean the outside of the trash cans in the breakfast room; unappetizing and made us hope other items were cleaned better. We were happy to have the remote for the TV in the breakfast area as obnoxiously loud commentators were blaring; we muted it and enjoyed the soft background music. Was an okay stay but attention to detail would improve the experience.

We stayed here for my grandmother's birthday celebration over Labor Day weekend. The hotel is in a nice location, close to just about anything you'd need.Unfortunately, the hot tub was closed during the duration of our stay, which sucks but I've worked in hospitality, and I get that's out of most staff's control.Ron and Alexandra were wonderful. Very accommodating, friendly, and on top of making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They are dime pieces that can be hard to find in this industry! Give them a raise, invest in your staff, because I can say from personal experience that praise alone is not enough.Housekeeping could be better. Our bathroom floor had hairs that did not belong to us, which was pretty freaking nasty. There was a really weird musty smell in our room as well, I purchased Febreze to try covering it up but it faintly remained throughout our stay. Then when I left Monday morning, I pulled the sheets as a courtesy for housekeeping, and was pretty horrified at the stains on the mattress. Large yellow stains...near the head of the bed?Definitely check your mattresses and room cleanliness before settling in. That was gross.That being said, the front desk staff made the stay enjoyable and were the primary highlight of our time in Mason City.

The room was quiet and the beds comfortable. The rooms were cleanly, service great, and breakfast was good. The bathroom doors in the rooms are just a sliding door and that is disturbing to me. The shower door doesn't close either, and why are heating and air conditioning units so loud? We can make electric cars virtually quiet why not a heating and air conditioning unit?

My room was dirty.We found someone else's food in the fridge, socks, and Vicks by the bed.Also blood on the pillowcase. Disgusting.Didn't discover until we were already in bed for the night or I would have asked for a different room. I do not think the sheets were changed for our stay and it was not vacuumed.The pool was nice but the floors were sooo slippery my child fell. I have been to many hotel pools and none with such a slick pool area.The hotel waffles were good but they were out of a lot of breakfast items like juice.Save money and just go stay at one of the cheaper options in the area.

We recently stayed at this location for about a week. We were in town with extended family because a family member was in hospice in mason city. All of our family stayed here and the staff was fantastic. The rooms were very clean and updated. Comfortable beds. The thermostat was a bit tricky as I saw someone else mentioned. The lobby was comfortable and accommodating for our family to gather to play cards and make arrangements. The breakfast options were standard breakfast choices but they changed the egg dish each day which was nice. One day my son came down for breakfast just a tad late but they allowed him to get some breakfast even though they were trying to close up. Very friendly staff. I would stay here again and definitely would recommend to anyone.

Stayed the night of March 7th. Check in was easy, standard with Hilton Honors hotels. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately the laundry bag in closet had odd clear liquid in it, there were 10-12 long dark hairs in the shower (from previous occupant I’m assuming), the breakfast was lackluster, and the coffee maker (in my room) also contained the previous occupants coffee and filter. Not what I normally experience from a Hampton, will stay somewhere else in the future.

It was good and clean. Room was very nice and excellent for my family of 6 to all for comfortably. The breakfast was well stocked. Only complaint was the pool was supposedly warmed but it was ice cold and so kids couldn't swim. Other than that it was great.

Booked a weekend stay for my family and me this last weekend. We have 3 boys and picked this just because of pool.Was not allowed to swim because they said of pool chemicals. Apparently this has been an on going issue. Would have been nice to know before booking. Boys were upset. Room was clean. Food was decent. Check in guy late Friday night was awesome and went above and beyond. We arrived late from out of state. Supposed to be back next month but I don't know if we will book again.

This hotel is very clean. I love the no tubs just showers, but you can ask for a tub room if you like. The room was very nice. The hotel is close to restaurants and bars. The only thing that was not really good was the front desk when I checked in. He was very nice, but did not direct me to the elevator. I was lost for a few minutes. Not a big deal, but the only detraction. Breakfast met my needs (coffee and fruit). I will stay again! I really liked this hotel!

Room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. Large shower which was great. Only bad thing about the room was the bathroom door, there's no way to lock it. It's a barn style sliding door, it's okay I guess but not when you have a wife and three young daughters. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very courteous.

Ron was amazing! I have never been treated so well by hotel staff in my entire life, including resort stays! From his recommendations on restaurants, to him treating us to our own personal patio table, including candles!! He even checked on us and brought waters! He made what could have been another boring hotel stay into an evening of fun and memories that will last a lifetime!!
