Get my pup groomed here and they’re great! He stayed for a weekend while going out of town and definitely could tell he had a great time! Such a great place for boarding your pet if leaving for a trip or getting them groomed! The teams is awesome and the customer service is amazing!!

German Short hair that goes a few times a week. He comes home happy and exhausted. Ronon and hid owners love Happy Tails, the staff and all the services provided!Boarding has been used several times. Ronon comes back well behaved and in a great mood! Even had grooming and boarding done together. Ronon looked like it was picture day and smiling like a fool.

I went with my grandma to get her dog groomed for the first time in 11 years. He is a Shetland Sheepdog so very very fluffy and gets matted easy if not brushed. My grandma is 70 years old and can't brush him everyday, I went in and said I'm here for am appointment for *my grandmother's name* and they had no record she even called when in her phone records she did and made an appointment between 10-12. She told them what she wanted, just his paws trimmed, his undercoat taken out, his bottom shaved since it gets tangled very easy and his nails cut. When she got him back they had cut his enough fur, shaved his back legs and his stomach. The fur on his stomach isn't even the same length now, there's long hairs and it looks like someone just did it in a hurry. I called happy tails a few months ago to make sure they had the right accommodations for my dog. I was told they had rooms special for dogs that don’t get along with other dogs. It came time that I actually needed to get him started at a daycare so I came to tour the place, and they had lied to me. There was one room for dogs to be away from other dogs. The room had two huskies in it but I didn’t see any water for them to drink. And after I had told them multiple times that my dog doesn’t like other dogs and that he would fight other dogs they still kept trying to get me to put him into group play with other dogs. I also took a look into the grooming room while I was there and they had dogs in tiny pop-up kennels shoved right next to each other. One kennel had two smaller dogs but with both of the dogs in there it looked to be too crowded. They are also terrible at answering the phones. I had called twice, sent an email, and a text and after about a few days of trying to get ahold of them they finally answered the text. They also recommended a different daycare because the front desk lady said “ we prefer not to take a dog like that because we have other clients that want the room” and when I asked where that daycare was located she had no clue. I had to look it up and it’s all the way down in Boone. Do not take you dog here they don’t really care about customers, they just want easy money.

I love this place. My dog loves interacting with other dogs his size and he just adores the people that work there. I can always count on them to squeeze Rico in when I have an emergency. Rico comes home so tired from playing at doggy daycare. I know he's well exercised and loved..

I took my dog today to get groomed. Wasn’t very happy with there work. I had requested it fluffy and his face shaped along with his ears. When I went to go pick him up they charged me 54, mind you my dog is Very tiny dog under 10 pounds and short hair. They didn’t let me see him and the job they had done before paying. They finally went to go get him and omg they had completely shaved ALL HIS FUR OFF! There are literally blade lines around his body and all of them are going different directions. His tail had one knot on it they didn’t even take the time to cut it off. His ears weren’t even plugged nor cleaned, I don’t even think they gave him a bath cause he smelled bad. They handed me his collar and leash and it was full of dog hair they didn’t even clean it. All I know was that I took him in with a clean leash and collar. I don’t recommend.

I think this is my dogs happy place.. she's always excited to go, always comes back tired from playing all day. Great for boarding or day care. I think they do a good job of splitting all the dogs into groups so they can play together instead of being stuck in kennels.Awesome grooming services too, they always do a fantastic job.Employees are always super nice and helpful as well

They took such great care of our mini goldendoodle whose coat was matted and she'd never been groomed. They were so caring and gentle! I definitely recommend Happy Tails!

We take our Frenchie’s to get groomed once a month and they love it! They are quick and do a very good job! Definitely recommend you get your dogs groomed at happy tails :)

My pup gets boarding and daycare from Happy Tails. The staff treats him like he is one of their own. My dog has a lot of separation anxiety, but he is always excited to get to his home away from home. The prices are reasonable, and he isn't cooped up in a kennel all day.

I boarded my dog there. They don't tell you about company policies until after they do it. Not very professional. They took my pets cage out and she had to lay in one with no bedding. Boarded overnight and then charged me for daycare within 24 hrs. All I saw was very young people. Looked liked they were under 21. Wouldn't recommend. Not a caring environment for your loved one. Sad.

My dog loves going to doggy daycare he has a great time, but the staff never answer the phone! We've called them numerous times before and even leave messages. We have only had them answer their phone a few times. When confronted about not answering their phone they had nothing to say.

I've heard good and not so good stories over the past several years, and understandably they seemed to go through some "growing pains" while trying to expand the business & get settled into their new location. That being said, I've been with them for 6 years now. (Before and after their business growth) I've never had any major issues, and the service over the past year in particular, has been nothing but A+ quality and care. I think it's fair to say they have a string grasp on what it takes to run and manage all the various pets and pet personalities that come and go from there. They're Very respectful, and have done a great job at listening & catering to special requests/needs of my dog, and giving me a 'post grooming' break down of how it all went! I would for sure recommend their services.

We are always very pleased with Ruby's trim or haircut! We have not ever needed them for boarding as Grandma is just down the road. Great staff! They genuinely care about the animals in their care!

Our dog has attended daycare here since he was 12 weeks old. He is treated like a member of their family. He loves going and is exhausted when he comes home. Happy Tails is part of the reason we still live in Marshalltown. If I could give it higher than 5 stars, I would.

We have boarded or dog here as well as take her to doggie daycare. We ALL love it. Gives her playtime when the weather is too cold or windy outside. Plus we dont feel bad leaving her at home alone. They take good care of her!

The staff is very caring and helpful. We board our two dogs at the same time and receive a discount if they stay in the same den. There are outdoor and indoor play areas, so the dogs get plenty of exercise.

The staff took good care of my dog while I was out of town. They groomed and washed her the day before I picked her up. That is something that most places don't do. Emily says 2 paws up!

I would not recommend this place at all. I showed up to pick up my dog after 5 days while we were on vacation and my dog was covered in urine. I had given my dog a bath the day of drop off. I seemed as my dog was never let outside to use the bathroom and he is potty trained. I do not recommend this place!!!

We have a baby beagle, who lives up to the baby part. He DOES NOT do well with getting his nails cut, but the people here somehow get it done perfectly almost every time! Frendily and fast service!

They are great people but the answering service is not great. It is very rare if I can get a person to answer the phone. Using text or email seems so impersonal
