Took the mid afternoon boat ride on a chilly October day (not a full tour so we had some room) We were allowed to bring blankets, and our own food and drink. They do have food and drink available for purchase before you get on the boat. The captain was very knowledgeable, funny, and even shared different news articles and other pieces of history as the tour happened. We did see a few bald eagles. Also we were joined by a wonderful golden retriever, named Willow. There is also a little restaurant as well that has burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and more. The food was wonderful. We would definitely do this again.

What a great way to learn about the river. We had over 1 1/2 hours of enjoying and learning about the Mississippi. The owner and captain of the boat is very knowledgeable and entertaining. I would recommend this to all.

Well worth your time. Entertaining and informative tour on the Mississippi River. The Friday evening tour has live music. We took a snack and beverage with us. They have added a snack shack on the dock that sells sandwiches.

Highly recommended tour!!!Gerry was above and beyond in many ways. His knowledge of the river and the area history was superb!His patience when including the junior "captains" on board will be memories those kids will hold on to forever.This boat tour was a history lesson and so much more. If you are nearby, add this to your agenda!

RV, the boat captain is one of the best people I have ever met. I have had the great opportunity to work along side of him for 2 weeks. I have not been on one of his tours, but I will this summer as I will bring my family to experience it. He is a true gem!

I went there in June 2017 and me and friend went there on a Sunday and when they don't do tours on Sunday's and the guy and who did the tour went the extra mile and by doing the tour and which was good and I really enjoyed the tour.

We didn't take the boat tour but we did dock for the evening on our way to guttenberg. We liked the couple so much that we docked there again on our return trip to st.paul. there is a gas dock, inexpensive transient slips, free ice , restrooms, store and is currently in the process of renovating a boat into a lil on site cafe. Also within walking distance of a restaurants, a casino and a convenience/ liquor store. Will definitely visit them again!

Great place to kick back and watch the river traffic as you enjoy a tasty burger and fries. Will stop in again next time I'm up that way. They offer so much more but I was just needing something to eat.

Fun time on the Mississippi River! It was a very knowledgeable and historical tour for the amount of time we had. I felt safe in their boat and the cushions were comfortable. The weather was perfect for our lighthearted experience!

Labor Day, 2022;My wife and I really enjoyed the hour and a half cruise on the Mississippi River and Cat tail slough. Very reasonable price, very relaxing! We'll go again!Update, September 13, 2023;My wife and I went on the boat cruise again last weekend, (Labor Day Sunday) and once again had a grand time. We're both looking forward to going again!

We try and take a boat ride at least once per summer with our kids' group. It is always a great time. Captain Robert is very entertaining and his dog is really sweet! The kids love it. We always get a new and interesting story or eight. If you've never been on a river tour, this is a great way to learn the history of the area, a little about the wildlife and trades on the Mississippi, and enjoy a little "outside time." Captain Robert is a river rat and his tour does not disappoint!

Best tour ever! Very interesting facts, stories and documents Captain Robert shares on the tour. We came across the river tour on a random road trip with no set destination and we are glad we did. I’m a dog lover and I enjoyed having the first mate “Willow”, his dog, along for the tour. When someone loves what they do for a living, it shows, and Captain Robert loves it! Highly recommended.

The captain tells wonderful stories and is very knowledgeable about the area. Great tour for spotting wildlife, enjoying the river, and hearing entertaining tales of the Mississippi. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed our tour!

Absolutely the best tour of the beautiful Mississippi River! His knowledge of the Marquette/Prairie Du Chien area is outstanding and his first hand accounts of some of that history was incredible. We went out on a cooler afternoon and he took us through an area with less wind to make the tour more comfortable for our family. Everyone had a great time!
