Date of stay friday Nov 18th.Comfy bedsVery quiet even with the nearby trainSpacious room and bathroomShower. High head, hot water, great pressure... Drainage is a bit slow.Towels very thick and absorbant.The beds were comfortable and clean with ample pillows.Front desk very abrupt. No pleasantries and offered zero info on hotel services.Parking. Front is tiny maybe 10 spots. Can also park behind hotel with 10 more. If both are full, park on street.Breakfast. Coffe/tea, packaged boiled eggs, cereals.The town rolls up early. We had a hard time finding places open for dinner that didnt close at 8pm. Or werent already closed at 6pm when we arrived.This is a very small hotel, there is a small fitness centre but no pool.The hotel is nestled against a cliff face along the mississppi river which makes for a lovely setting in the daytime. Roguetrippers enjoyed walking along the mississippi river to take in the view.

Great! The gentleman who works third shift is always very polite, more attentive than others to the front when guests are in the lobby. Always greets guests when leaving or entering.Nearby activities: There are a few antique stores in Marquette, the Lady Luck Casino is a few blocks from the hotel. McGregor, IA is only about 2 miles away from Cobblestone Inn & Suites, and just over the bridge is Wisconsin. The bridge leads into Prairie Du Chien, WI, offering more family activities, one being Prairie Fun Land, and a few shopping centers, such as TJ Maxx, and more.Walkability: Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Marquette has a convenient location for people to explore the town. Right across the street from the hotel is Casey's Convenience Store, the Marquette Cafe, and a public gathering area with a shelter and a children's playground; plus more.Noteworthy details: William, the 3rd shift front deskman, is always very polite and helpful.

Very nice and clean place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice little breakfast in the morning. There is train tracks close to the hotel. They have ear plugs in the room if you need them. Heard other people complain about the trains. Us personally didn't hear them and we were in the room closest to the tracks. Did not bother us. Observation deck where you can sit and relax while watching the boats and barges pass by on the river. Located just over the Mississippi River from Prarie Du Chien Wisconsin. Alot of things to do close by. Play on the river, wineries, historical sites, casino, shopping and events.

Easy registration with efficient and friendly staff. Accommodated a specialRequest. Clean! In good repair. Beds comfy. Coffee and great selection of teas in room. Usual room amenities including a safe. Charge taken off when you do not use safe. Breakfast standard fare and tasty. Staff engages when not busy. View up back stairs to overlook worth the trek. Take road when stairs icy. Good references to eateries. Esp White Springs which is re-opened with family connections. Good stay and places to visit even in winter.

I see a lot of bad reviews about parking and the trains. So here's my unbiased review. This is a beautiful town. The parking is small but there are pros to this. The scenery is peaceful. The beds are comfortable. I personally never woke up to a train. The low amount of parking will ensure you get breakfast. This hotel has a little convenience store and a bar in it.I've stayed in many hotels and I'd have to consider Cobblestone one of the better ones. I'd happily stay here again.

A great little hotel nestled into the scenic riverside. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, great views and yes, the trains are a little annoying, but personally I think they add to the charm of the city. The people you will meet in this hotel are the salt of the earth. Between Marquette and Prairie du Chien there are great restaurants for dining. Be sure to check out the Drake piano bar and dining experience, plus the Jones Black Angus supper club. Food is to die for. The Cobblestone Inn in Marquette, IA is definitely a little gem! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!!!

The hotel is nice, the parking is non existent for anything larger than a U-haul. If your driving box truck or tractor trailer this is not the hotel for you !There were some sort of explosions outside, that lasted my entire stay. They were so loud that I jumped each time I heard one... I put in the earplugs but I could still feel them.I guess I'll get ready to add the train horn into the mix... I definelty picked the wrong hotel for a good night's sleep in preparation for my 12 hour workday tomorrow 🙁

Great bed and bedding, quiet room, very clean - clearly following all cleanliness guidelines.It has a meeting room on the top floor overlooking the river and railroad tracks. It was nice to enjoy a clean, socially distanced breakfast there.That room connects to a walk way leading to an overlook where the old Marquette bridge was located.The facility is on the same block as the Railroad. The building is brick and must be well built because the train was far less disruptive than what I've experienced at other hotels in this area.

The location is not the best. There is not anything but a Casey's Gas nearby. The stairwell was very musty with a dehumidifier on the landing. Towels under leaking ice machines. Room seemed clean enough. TV speakers were hard to hear. Breakfast...... there was none. About 8 to 10 people waiting for eggs and sausage and it was being brought out 4 patties at a time by one person who was also manning the desk. Only white bread and cereal was available. I had to park on the street because the parking lot is too small. City Hall is on the main floor. I would recommend staying up in Lacrosse.

Currently mid-stay here. VERY very clean, quiet inside (yeah trains go by outside so plan accordingly if you are a light sleeper-this isn’t the hotel’s fault), river literally across the street from the parking lot. Comfy beds, bathroom is small but well appointed (CLEAN!), and the whole place even smells nice. FYI if you travel with pets-this location is pet friendly with a very reasonable rate of $25 per day…BUT, they take guest safety very seriously…we were told no animals are allowed to be walked through the lobby or on the elevator…you have to walk the pet up the stairs located at the opposite end of the building from check in…this extended even to our 2lb 4 month old morkie (therapy animal but not registered service animal) that was in a hard-sided carrier. Pets are also not allowed in any suite rooms-even our tiny morkie so we were down-graded to a smaller room. Plan accordingly if you have specific mobility needs and cannot tolerate stairs or if you require a larger area of stay whilst traveling with your pet. This location is still very deserving of all 5 stars and we will stay here regularly just without our puppy in tow :}

We just went on a day trip to hike the area, stayed here and it was all we needed. Clean room, nice staff and the views were gorgeous. Loved seeing the train by the river and didn't even mind hearing it at night. The 4th floor had a lookout room that had an outside bridge that took you to an outside seating area looking over the Mississippi River and looking towards the valley and Wisconsin. It was maybe a 15min drive to Pikes Peak which was something I never thought I'd see in Iowa. Breathtaking views. The little a (5min drive away) town of MacGregor was so quaint you honestly felt like you stepped back in time to the 1800s. We are planning more trips here and we will be using this hotel as our main place to stay.

This place is a hidden gem. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast was great too including eggs and bacon and waffle machine. The four of us that stayed had 2 rooms had no issues with train noise at all. Ear plugs worked for all and no one woke up including a few light sleepers. It was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. We will be back again!

Stayed one night. Passing through and stopped in. We got the last room available. Price wasn't horrible, maybe a bit more than we expected, but this is a pretty popular area. Staff was very friendly, room was very nice and very clean. Actually the entire hotel was very clean. Shower was great.. Breakfast in the morning was simple yet nice. Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Plus cereal, and some pastry items. Milk, juice and coffee. Hotel was completely booked, so Breakfast area was full, but people were moving along nicely so we did get a table. They do have a small bar, but didn't know this until we were having Breakfast. This would have been nice to know about the night before. Our bad i guess, we never bothered to ask or look.There is a railroad track across from hotel..... so.... they apparently really like to blast there horn.... My wife never heard it once... I on the other hand.... I heard every single one. They must pass about ever hour or so. I would have slept great, as the beds were very comfortable... I know why they have ear plugs in the room now...I wouldn't be afraid to stay there again, but I dont think it would be my first choice, simple due to the trains. Actually I would choose any of the hotels in that area as my first choice simply because of the trains...Hotel parking is limited, but plenty of close by parking on the street. Wasn't an issue for us, and we have a full size pickup.I'll end with it is a very nice and clean hotel. My wife was happy with everything, I was happy with everything except the trains. Maybe I should have drank more!😉

The hotel is nice, although there are a lack of king bed rooms. The breakfast is quite good. The only thing that stops it from being 5 stars is the train. THE TRAIN!!!. All day and all night those trains go by the building blasting their horn. I never slept more than 4 hours at a time because of the trains.

Stayed here three nights on a weekend, fantastic hotel! Every staff member was truly Iowa nice from the kind housekeeping folks to the front desk team... Breakfast was great, has a little lounge for a nightcap (or two), and there is a public room on 4th floor for hanging out with family and it overlooks the river with amazing views! If I had to nit pick anything the parking can get challenging at night, there's just limited space since it is built on the side of a bluff. Trains are busy nearby.. Rooms were new and immaculately clean, beds were comfy! Thanks again will definitely be back if I'm up this way again.
