We have been customers with Jenna and her family for the last 15 years. Her mother groomed our Husky prior to her retirement and when we got Golden Retrievers we switched over to Jenna & Vince. They do a wonderful job with getting my oversized dogs all spruced up. She bathes, brushes out, trims their coats, ears and nails every 8-10 weeks. I've never had matting problems with their coats because of Jenna! She's Top notch, our community is lucky to have her and these services in our backyard. Not only does she do a stellar job with the grooming, their customer service is AMAZING. This summer when I was going into town to pick up the dogs, I ended up with a flat tire and had to wait for help, I was almost an hour late picking up my dogs. Did they charge me to hold them, NO!! They told me the dogs were welcome to stay as long as it took for me to get back to town. We are very thankful for their business.

Love the Rice Family! My dogs are absolutely in love with Jenna and have such amazing experiences! Even my little dog who doesn’t like many is incredibly calm in her arms. Fantastic with both animals and people! We will always take our beloved fur babies to Rice’s House of Grooming!

Amazing! What can I say? The benefit of knowing your groomers because they live in your community and love your dogs! Patient and thorough care with every single animal. My girls cannot wait and often run out of the car and into the store before I can even get their leashes on! It’s their spa day! Always happy when I pick them up! Love Jenna and Vince! I like different cuts for my springer depending on the season and they make it happen. Springers are prone to ear yeast and she has not had a single infection with regular grooms at Rice’s House of Grooming! Thank you so much!

We have been taking our boys there since they were little puppies and we are always very pleased with the work Jenna does! She always takes her time and makes our boys look so handsome!! Our dogs get so excited every time we pull up to the shop because they know they are about to get lots of attention and get all pretty!!!

Jenna is so kind and gentle with the animals in her care. I never worry about my pup when he is with her. Jenna is a wonderful groomer and I wouldn't take my pup anywhere else!

We've been taking the boys to Jenna and Vince for a few years now and they are amazing. Rylee has trust issues and had a history of nipping at groomers at Petsmart or Petco and they end up putting a cone around him which made grooming traumatic to him. First groom with Jenna and he had no issue. She was gentle with him and didn't rush the process. The boys love her and Vince!!!!! They know exactly what the boys need and provide exceptional results!!!

I’ve been taking my Chihuahuas to Jenna for years and we absolutely love her!! I can say her name at home and they get all excited and run to the door. Moe won’t let anyone bathe him except Jenna. She does an awesome job and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She treats them like they are her own. We love you Jenna

I cannot say enough great things about this place with Jenna and Vince. We have been bringing our girls to them for 3 years. We first took our little Molly there because we had a bad experience in the city and Jenna was so kind and Molly loves her and we never have to worry when our girls go there. They treat your animals like family as well as their owners and they take time to know their clients. Even though we don't live in Marengo anymore, we will still make the drive because the service is so great.

Vince and Jenna are kind, wonderful people who have a lot of knowledge in their line of business. I stopped by a few months ago and when telling them about some of my dogs nervousness surrounding car rides, they directed me to their store where they had a multitude of supplies and toys. Vince and Jenna’s Rice House of Grooming overall owned and managed by wonderful people who are extremely passionate and knowledgeable of their business!

QUANTITY OVER QUALITY... I had this husband & wife team Groom my 2 Maltese. I asked for a short summer cut, hair short enough to see the pink skin, but not shaved, short around the face & nose as well, trim the ears & tail length only. I asked if they plucked all the hair from inside the ears & on the underside of the ears, & I was told "Yes we do." & I told them "Great!" because I feel this is very important to prevent yeast infections in the ears, plus it shows me a very clean overall great quality grooming job by the groomer. Lastly, I wanted their nails trimmed. These are all basic things in grooming a small dog I know as I have had 6 Maltese dogs over the past 25 years & I have also used several different groomers. My husband went & picked up 1 of the 2 dogs we had done this day, & when he got her home, I was very highly disappointed with the Groom job they had done. The hair was not cut short like I asked, & the entire coat was choppy all over which means there was lots of uneven patches all over the dog. The hair had not been removed from inside the ears or from the indersides of the ears. I called & spoke to the husband & I pointed out that these things were not done as they told me prior that they did do this, & that the hair was not cut short enough like a summer cut & was very choppy & uneven. I explained to him that I have had a lot of groomers through the years,& I've only had 1 other groomer that took only 1 hour to do 1 of my dog until he had done today's 1st dog in an hour. I asked him why they didn't take a little more time & do a great quality job by making the cuts look clean & professional? He told me that if they took longer to Groom a dog, they would have to double or triple their prices because they wouldn't be able to Groom as many dogs in a day. So, you guys are doing QUANTITY OVER QUALITY? "Yes" he said. I told him I would go ahead & bring my other Maltese in since I'd made the appointment, but for $50.00 plus 7% tax, I will not bring them back again to be groomed by them. I'm not a licensed professional groomer, but my dogs look like a professional done them when I Groom them myself. I wanted a little break so this is why I scheduled them to be groomed here. Lesson learned here!!! If you're just looking for a quick expensive cut for your dog, & don't care what it looks like, then this is your place to go,. Otherwise I recommend finding a different groomer that takes pride in Quality of the Groom over Quantity of cuts they can get done in a day. Also, took my 2 girls back for toenail trims ONLY 2 weeks ago, & they need done again. They look like they were barely even cut. Another lesson learned.

My 3 year old schnauzer was rescued last spring. He was very timid and would shake and bark with fear when he was around anyone new. I was very worried about having him groomed, but they took their time and made him feel comfortable with them. They are now friends if his who get down on the floor and play with him. I would recommend them to anyone.

I've got two dogs whose nails I can't clip. The vet suggested sedating them for a nail trim. I figured I'd give Rice's a shot first with low expectations. But Jenna is amazing! She clips their nails on the floor not a table so they don't get anxious, and she's so fast that all four paws are done before the dogs have time to wind themselves up.
