I travel 35 miles to get there. We love it because they have friendly faces waiting to check you out instead of having to wait in long self check out lines. Friendly faces throughout the store to direct you to what you need. Just love it ❤

Walmart in Maquekota IA.Have to get to the store shortly after Truck comes. I give Maq. Walmart a 4.5 for friendly cashier's, product stocked.I would rather drive 20 miles to get my groceries then have to put up with mouthy cashier's, who EAT candy on the line, don't pay attention, ring up higher priced items. Management who won't address the problemThey would rather look the other way. And Corporate who don't give a rats about customers complaint.

Somedays this is a good place to go, somedays it is not so clean or friendly. There was a mother who we ALL heard yell at her son, don't know where they were but the employee stocking shelves and I just looked at each other. Sorry for the boy. Maybe tomorrow will be better for her.

Usually go at opening or 1.5 hours before closing. Not many people which is good. The employees are always nice. Bathrooms seem to always be getting cleaned no matter what time I go.

This store is by far the best Walmart in the area. I occasionally have to stop at Clinton or Davenport stores to pick up something and I absolutely dread it, because the Maquoketa store is much cleaner and well kept. I frequently use the grocery pickup and love it, it is so quick and the employees do a great job of communicating any substitutions or issues. At other stores I've waited up to 20 minutes for my pickup order, but always get it within 3 minutes at the Maquoketa Walmart. Excellent service.

I am dependant on quick service i want to go in and out as quickly as possible and this visit was definantly an improvement over last however the staff in the electronic dept. Seems to lack in the enthusiasm dept. Quite lazy actually. Most of the time they are too involved in personal conv. W their friends (other employees) than to help a costumer make a purchase and go about their day. I very much have been dissatisfied with walmart service and products..bottom of my list.

Drove from out of town as my town is completely out of my babys formula brand. I was trying to buy 9 cans as we need to get by and their shelves were fully stocked full of the brand. When i went to check out the cashier said their was a limit of five. I informed him there was no sign (one was torn to shreds and could not be read) He called someone over who pulled up a picture of a perfectly intact sign. I said okay and gave the remaining cans to the person with me as he was also buying stuff. She started to argue the policy saying since it is for my baby he could not buy it. After SHE started an argument and i said the policy back to her she agreed the policy states 5 per customer not baby. After agreeing to that she rook the cans from my brother and walked away. After following up i was informed her boss told her she handled it correctly. Appearently they are ok with their managers not keeping signs up/ starting arguments/ not following policy and making their own and then snatching things from people. What an absolute joke. Do BETTER!

Went to Walmart this morning to do my monthly shopping and forgot to swipe my wic card before our food stamps card lol well the cashier said that if we went to the customer service desk that they would be able to help me with getting the money back and using the wic card for my daughters formula and sons pediasure. Brenda did a nice job at helping me and was able to get me the money that was paid for the formula and pediasure and let me use my wic card

This Walmart is going thru a remodel. Staff was very helpful as many items were not where expected. Ultimately, we were able to find all our items.

Jack the self checkout worker literally harassed me about a 12 pack of Pepsi that one of the workers had scanned and proceeded to follow me out to the parking lot and take pictures of me. Will not be going back ever. And I would suggest not hiring someone for a customer service position who isn't capable of such. Jack was such a nightmare. Yuck.

Was buying chicken from deli staff was polite and chatting with me as she filled my order. Another staff was taking inventory of refrigerated salads. She was very rude and yelled at staff waiting on me. The other gal in deli was giving great customer service. The grumpy one was totally out of line, very poor customer service skills.

The store is well equipped with all my needs except the fact that they have problems with some of the cart a and it is annoying if you grab one of those and I also noticed that the entrnce has a problwm and they've blocked it for over a week.

I dont know whats up with the Dubuque Iowa store Im done shopping there. This is the third time ive left my cart with items in it. Not one checkout was opened. Self checkout was only one open and there was such a long line the first two visits. The last straw was the third time they had the associates meet at Holloween for a store meeting. There were no cashiers even the self checkouts were roped off. REALLY!! I heard other customers were complaining about it. I witnessed another woman leaving her cart and leaving also. BRING BACK SHOPCO AND KMART Id shop there all day long rather than Walmart I wouldnt have added one star but it wouldnt let me post this unless i added one

1st let me get this out of the way real quick. I absolutely love their Pharmacy. The people there kind they're very efficient. Now let's get to the rest of the awful store. Their fresh produce is not fresh! Sometimes you can get decent fruit from it but you got to watch it. Sliding doors are the slowest doors I've ever seen. 90% of the time I have to walk up to the door stand there for a second before they even start to open. I don't like that their products keep changing one day they have a certain thing that I like and then I'll come back and it's gone the next and they're not stocking departed anymore and then two months later it'll be back. I would say about 25% of the employees are extremely kind some of the managers are extremely rude and have no people skills whatsoever and no sense of urgency. And some of their prices are just ridiculous they're great value brand ice cream went from $2 to $2.97! You might as well spend $0.50 to $0.75 more on a brand name! The Sportsman counter don't even bother. That area of the store is the complete Ghost Town!

I don't need much. It's says they have cameras, and don't allow truck parking. I'm an Owner Operator and I literally spend thousands of dollars a year at Walmarts all over the country. I understand how a few pigs can leave garbage and worse, but I'm not one of those. Now I look for alternative shopping as much as possible.

What is the Walmart Alcohol sales policy? Others and I have been denied sales quite a few times. The cashiers and CSM all state policy. I have had it happen 2 separate times when accompanied by my 17-year-old daughter and 3 times when my wife forgot her purse and didn't have an ID on her. All these times I was the one paying. Is this right? Is my toddler going to need her ID too?

Walmart in Maquoketa is really bad!! We will never go in there again! We are from out of town and we stopped in there to grab a couple jackets because we were going to the fair and it was chilly and rainy. They didn't have any jackets that we wanted so we chose 2 shirts and went to the registers. Only 2 registers open and had lines of people with carts overflowing as it was a Friday night. So we went over to the self check out where all 4 registers were open and the employee informed us ( not very nicely) that you had to have a credit card for all 4 registers! Since we didn't have a credit card and we didn't want to wait in line for an hour or more we walked out and will never go to that Walmart again! The line of people in the check outs had not moved the whole time we were in there! Only 2 checkers and 4 self checkers that only take credit cards and a nasty lady to watch you at the self checkers!? If you don't want customers to shop there, THEN SHUT IT DOWN!!!!

Just moved here and this Walmart was not welcoming at all every time you enter the store some of their workers stare at you don’t greet you at all as if they’ve never seen black people before they will literally watch you the entire time while shopping in their store one of the workers that work at the front self check out with long hair he watched me and my significant other the entire time and decided to card us both for purchasing wine but there was a Caucasian couple to the left of us he only carded the lady that had the beer in her hand but not her significant other sad to say they are very much racist here I’ll never shop here again I DIDNT WANNA GIVE THEM ONE STAR they have another young male that has green hair in his attitude is horrible and he talk to you with no respect at all….

Most of the grocery shelves were completely empty. The produce section has a disgusting smell to it. The employees were very polite, pleasant and helpful. Only reason I gave it 3 stars.

I have only 1 issue with this place. But It could be that Maquoketa has alot of elderly handicap people that live there. I feel that the parking lot is 60% handicap parking! I just hate having to walk ALL the way thru all the empty parking spots that are handicap ♿️
