I was in the store for 15 minutes looking for the correct bolts and washers and noone asked me if I needed help. Most of the employees were talking at the back of the store. Not the first time either. The cashier lady that checked me out was very nice.

I don't hand out five star ratings willy nilly but this one is a no-brainer. Top notch staff is highly knowledgeable, friendly and, most importantly, there to help immediately with anything from locating a widget to scooping mulch. They truly deserve a sixth star because I rarely have to wait in line, but if I do, never for more than a couple minutes. Kudos to Dan and all the Schmidt family. This is what other small-town American retailers hope to be someday.

Can usually find things here that other hardware/farm & garden stores don't carry as much of. Greater variety of just about everything & larger selection such as nuts & bolts, electrical supplies & hard to find pins, keys & fasteners.

I went in to my local Ace Hardware store to get a key made for my Mitsubishi Outlander,didn't know if they would be able to make it but they did and the young fella that helped me did an excellent job.

Rented a carpet cleaner. The price was great and thr machine worked great. There was a $20 deposit that was refunded when returned the unit. Was helped quickly by a friendly sales associate, took about 15 mins start to finish.

Took my sister there to get a new fan. She picked one out and payed, but I noticed the price on the shelf was lower. They refunded the overcharge as the price had raised, but since that was what was on the shelf she got for the lower price.
