1 star for staff. I was in the store foe 10 minutes could not find a cashier to check me out. I ended up not buying a single item and left.5 star for the store. This store have everything. It is like a mini Walmart and actually a very good concept for small community. They have fresh produce, milk, medicine, hardware, toiletries, snacks, etc. I recommend more stores like this across smaller communities.

My husband and I shop at this store several times a week. They usually have what I'm looking for, except fresh produce lately. I'm sure it will be back in stock soon as it always is. I was really surprised at some of the items they carry, like furnace filters for example. I thought I'd have to go to Menards for those.The staff is great, very friendly and knowledgeable. If there's an issue, they take care of it right away. I have problems with my digital coupons not being taken off at another nearby DG, and the staff there will not help or fix the price. Not at Madrid DG! The digital coupons almost always work there and if not, they make sure I get things for the right price. And they do it with a smile. I think the employees there enjoy working with people.I hope corporate takes care of the HVAC problems soon so those poor employees don't have to freeze or sweat to death this year.

No fresh produce. It has been down for over a week. Door is broken all the time. They treat the associates like criminals but won't fix their problems.

Moved to 2 stars from 5. The staff are amazing here and is the only reason why I didnt drop to 1 star. But the main problem are at all locations. I feel bad for anyone that works here. They advertise a price on the shelf, and charge more at the register. This is ilegal. Its stealing. If you shop at any location, use to app to scan every product before you buy. Also, sometime digital coupons work and sometimes they dont. Now at this location, they dont stock things that is advertised in the paper. If you check on the app, it says its in stock but when you get there, they dont have the products. Always check your reciept after you buy and make sure it matches what was advertised.

Service is always great. But get those people some help and treat them right. You came to our town and we expect you to do more than just make money here. Come on corporate this is small town Iowa. Also signs for masks are clearly posted and I saw many customers without.

Love our DG!! We had last min shopping for Christmas and not only were they still open, but because I have a bad back and knee, walking is VERY DIFFICULT for me. They helped with bringing me a chair so I could sit and rest as I needed. I was truly so thankful for them!!

I go to this store almost every day. The ladies are very friendly and I enjoy seeing them. We live in a small town so this is like the hot spot. Carries most anything you might need.

I only gave 2 stars when I visited yesterday and someone changed it to 4 stars! I was there again tonight to get a couple items and again I never recieved my 2 dollars off from my digital coupons and the sales clerk was to busy to help me with it!!! The digital coupons needs alot of work on them or get rid of them!!

Found a wedding card & the bathroom was clean. Checkout lady was apologetic because no one wanted to work today & she was at the checkout alone. She was very nice.

It's a nice little store, sometimes staff seem to vanish and it can be a while before you get checked out, bit everyone is friendly and products are well organized.

The district manager needs to pay more attention to this store! Broken register ,receipt printer not working. I shop at this location at least once a week and these problems have been going on for over a month now!

Constantly closing early. Literally just tried to go there an hour before close and the guy locked the door as I was pulling in. A whole hour before the store is to close. Ridiculous!
