My poor Diesel had to go to the vet today, due to him being a puppy and trying to “play” with one of the kittens.. The kitten definitely was not playing and got him right in his eye. He has a corneal ulcer. We’re so thankful for Terry and Dr. Kelly Gochenour at Animal House Veterinary Service for getting him in TODAY! We’re so lucky to have an amazing vet so close to home. If you’re anxious about having to take a pet to the vet, I promise you that this clinic will NEVER disappoint you. They’re absolutely amazing. We’ve been taking our pets to them since 2016 and I refuse to go anywhere else. I moved to Omaha for a while and still took my pets to them. The drive didn’t matter to me at all because I knew that they’re getting the best quality care that they deserve.

Dr Kelly and Teri go out of their way to care for our dogs and cats. Marley was badly injured in a badger fight that ripped a foot long tear in his side. A predatory animal ER clinic in Omaha charged us >$3K to clean him up, keep him overnight and then stitch up the wound. They did such a poor job (running stitch instead of individual sutures, staples with nothing to prevent him from pulling them out) the wound pulled apart and putrefied within 2 days. Dr Kelly is an excellent surgeon and despite having almost nothing to sew together, he was able to fix the wound, saving Marley, and he did it at about 20% of the cost of the Omaha ER's incompetence. His pricing is extremely reasonable and he cares deeply about the animals. He will not recommend something that is expensive and futile just to make a buck. Our old cat was going through kidney failure and he sold me the fluids to treat her every week w/o office visits, which she absolutely hated. Told us maybe 6 months and she lived 4 years. When it was her time, he came to our house to put her down so she wouldn't be traumatized by the office visit. The only negative is that he isn't open Sun-Tues now as he has reduced his hours. I will be extremely sad when he retires. Top notch small animal veterinarian. Cannot say enough good things about Animal House.

I have enjoyed the Services provided by the Doc to be excellent and he truly loves animal's. Terry his Assistant does a great job of adding up your Bill and giving you information, once in awhile her Lipstick needs touching up.Erich and John

I can't say enough nice things about Kelly the vet and Terri his assistant. They are wonderful with the animals and the humans too. Their prices are fair and probably not high enough to match the great care our animals are given.

We’ve been trying for like 15 years to develop a relationship with a vet office that actually cared. originally out of geographical considerations landed at the animal house and dumped our previous vet/s immediately. My only other visit had been from a previous emergency from like 5 years prior when I was visiting from out of town and they inquired into that puppo’s well being, I know it was from the database but it was so sweet. Dr took time to really prepare us for behavior issues in our new pup by breed and he was so spot on it was scary. I learn something every time I visit. We’ve been to a lot of vets on our search but I feel like we’ve found our “forever home”!!

Terry and Dr Kelly are so great. I had a very rare thing happen to my cat. They gave me time do deal with it there and didn't try to push me out door. They really care about the animals they see and go above and beyond. I live about a our from the clinc and will make the drive anytime I need anything for my pets. I honestly can't say enough good things about them.

Dr. Kelly Gochenour is the best vet I have ever been too. You can tell he LOVES animals. I started going to him when I loved in Omaha. It was worth the drive. The Omaha vet's all just wanted to sell something. I never felt they cared at all about my dogs. Kelly is the exact opposite. My bill is always much less than I expect and I feel he really cares. His support staff is just as loving to my pups. He gives good advice and actually talks to you about what you can do to prevent issues. I would drive from anywhere to give my dogs the care they need. I am very happy with his care. I wish I had a doctor for me that gave the care he does. 2 thumbs up way up!

Before finding Dr. Kelly our beloved pet passed away which was a very heartbreaking sad time for our family . When the time felt right to get another fur-babies and a playmate for our other little dog we were in need of a vet that was closers to home than the vet we were previously going to which was a 30 min drive. We wanted somewhere closer because the Chihuahua puppy we were purchasing would not have any of its shots ... we would be responsible for all the new puppy vetting as well continued pet-care for our other little chi-pin . We were referred to Dr.Kelly from a family friend and have been pleased with him from day 1 . He's not the typical vet whom is hurry up get 'em in and get ' em out . He takes his time to educate and inform all the while is extremely gentle and through with our pets . He gave all of the first shots , worming , rabies shots etc. which are quite numerous and we also had both of them spay so we really got to know him not only on a professional level but also a personal level and there's no question of his love, loyalty and sincere compassion for animals !!! He's the type of Dr. that everybody should have not just wished existed... cause he does exist !! I'd have to say he's the cats meow !! Lol ( pun intended and I don't even have a cat .) He doesn't over charge either . Each receipt specifies each charge individually and there aren't any questionable charges !! Excellent care and a great person !!! Thank you Dr .Kelly and Terry (vet-tech) both of you are TOP NOTCH !! THEY ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST. (FYI... I normally don't ever give a review on anything . If that tells you something.)👍👍👍👍

Besides the Shelby vet clinic, the Logan vet is the only other place I trust with my cat Thunder. He is the only vet to figure out my sneezing and snotting cat! My cat is still doing great! Highly recommend this vet to anybody! Not to mention their love for animals is very apparent, you never feel like your just another number or customer.

I love these guys. When I take my dog in, he gets excited because he plays with the vet's dogs. He's impatient to get his checkup done, doesn't care about the shots just wants pets from the staff and to run around with the staff's dogs.

The manager has been there since Moses parted the sea ... She has a resting B face but is very nice , Store is always clean food is always fresh , 3/4 of the staff are great some are young and seem to have no social skills , I am going to blame this on bad parenting and the internet ...
