We were just shopping here for Christmas gifts to support small local businesses. Upon entering, owner was there. She did not greet us nor ask us if we needed help. Instead, she followed us around the store after us being there less than 5 minutes and proceeded to rudely say "please stop touching everything because I am a germaphobe". This is a gift shop without any organization of items nor common gifts. Having this kind of store and then rudely telling shoppers to not touch anything due to her being a germaphobe, is actually insane. We left immediately and will not be returning. We have lived in LeClaire our entire lives and it's extremely unfortunate that one of our few gift shops is owned and operated by such an abrasive, rude individual. Spend your money at Aunt Hattie's and one of the many other friendly gift shops.

There should be a sign posted on their front door that says "No kids aloud". Store owner is a grumpy woman and my kids were behaving themselves.

I agree with comments about lack of customer service. I was THE only person in the store and stopped at the front counter to look at a product and was about 2 feet from the lady behind the counter. She didn't look up, didn't acknowledge me in any way and turned her back and walked away. I had planned to purchase several items but walked out empty handed. Reviews for the past years reference poor service. You'd think the owner would remedy that by now ... Unless the rude person IS the owner? Who knows. I won't return to that store ever again.

THEY HAVE A KITTY CAT YOU CAN PET!! But also, the shop is adorable and well stocked with a variety of items. The owners are lovely and and have a wonderful sense of humor in their gifts. We found so many souvenirs for loved ones and ourselves there. And of course, I got to pet the floof!

Visiting from Illinois and saw the charm of the store from across the street. When you first walk in, your eyes are wondering a mile a minute, in a good way, looking at everything. A lot of Halloween items. Very quirky and unique. Also good energy in the store. I got a pair of cat leggings (very cute) and a nice pair of sunglasses for $20. Leggings are one size fits all, I’m a size small and they fit perfectly but I can also see how they can fit all sizes due to being stretchy. You can find a gift for anyone in this store. We will definitely be back!

Neat store. Had my purchases but the computer wasn't working (or they didn't know what they were doing) the woman who was very aggressive almost pulled my card out of my hand. I then put my merchandise down and so did my daughter. They lost out on a 150.00 sale. Be kind people, we were.

Have shopped at this location numerous times and although the store itself is an interesting collection of unique articles the customer service leaves something to be desired. My wife simply remarked that the last time we purchased an item it fell apart, we were not returning anything as we only wanted to inform them that we were disappointed and that perhaps they may want to reconsider who they purchase their merchandise from. The lady did not give any sort of apology for the experience. Instead she accused my wife of being hard on her jewelry.

The store was nice -too bad the lady behind the sales counter was not!! She was rude - no response to a question asked and a comment made and when she finally said something is was a snotty response. I couldn't get myself and family out of there soon enough !! Thankfully the people in the other stores were very nice . The town is beautiful and other then the encounter with the lady at this store we had a very nice visit. So a BIG FAT MINUS for this Review !!!-

We absolutely loved this shop! Mary had a little bit of everything, something for everyone. We got so many wonderful deals, even split a set of necklaces because we have three daughters. Thank-you again, we will be back!

Store owners were very rude and complained about my family trying on things. My aunt was visiting the country and we were just having fun and they were being pushy about buying the items. I would have bought something if we weren'ttreated that way.

Awesome place to find unique gifts for anyone, including a variety of ground coffee. Always ha fun experience there with the staff and Mr. C the cat. They have a great ukulele selection too and will show you how to play!

Felt extremely offended by what I’m going to assume was the store owner when asking the price of a painting that was unmarked. My fiancé asked if it was for sale, and if so how much, then she (the store owner) proceded to say “Yeah, but it’s very expensive. Two hundred dollars, sorry.” She just automatically assumed that due to us being a young couple we would be unable to afford it. Very disappointed in the customer service there.

The owner is very rude. I was over charged by $10 and she wanted to give me an instore credit. Seriously? I was also looking at something on the sale rack and when I went back to try it on the sale sign was gone. I asked her about it and she said it wasn't on sale anymore. Amazing. Poor quality merchandise so just be careful of what you purchase and double check your receipt.

I called the owner to ask if she had the silver letters that are about 5 inches tall. She said yes and then got them all ready for me with gift wrap and all! A good experience!
