Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The owner is very friendly and his wife can definitely throw down in the kitchen. I’m so glad I stopped here. They welcomed me in and I enjoyed my time here. Food is authentic and delicious.

Best Mexican food north of KC. I have been here several times now, having the Flautas, Chile Rellenos, Enchiladas, Tacos, and their Rice and beans...I have no complaints. Super friendly Family that runs it. Highly recommend this place. Muy Bueno.

This is good flavored food, loved the chips and salsa owners very friendly. Prices spot on. Portioned perfectly, unless you like to overeat, which I did. But ordered desserts to go.Parking: Kind of tricky if you are towing/hauling something but worth the walk.

Very nice family who runs this restaurant, as I business travel extensively and eat a lot of Mexican. Margaretta are can probably from local HyVee grocery store, food was marginal would have been just as good going to HyVee myself getting something from frozen section and microwave back at hotel. But small town only a couple restaurants, but again very nice people but wouldn't go back if ever back in town.

Real bad food. Just really bad. Id give it minus 5 if I could. Beans were light brown liquid with a few lumps. Cold overcooked rice, chips were dark brown and over cooked. About two tablespoons of salsa and it was watery. The special was on the board read” two cheese enchiladas with beans and rice $7.49?” We were served a tamale looking thing, cold with a chickeny enchilada that was lukewarm. Asked for 2 actual cheese enchiladas and were brought two more of the same things. Total bill was $25! Not going back! Ever.

We stopped here on our way home to KC from Des Moines. This place is a must stop! I had the steak fajitas and they were delicious. My mom had beef tacos. She said they were the best tacos she’s had. My dad has the steak fajita salad. He also really enjoyed his meal as well. The salsa is so yummy. You can tell it is made fresh. We will be stopping here on every journey home from now on! Authentic and tasty. A must stop!

I REALLY wish I could leave a positive review, but the food I received was an absolute disappointment. I ordered the carne asada steak: it is so tough you have to physically tear it apart with both hands and it's extremely dry and difficult to chew. The chips are also very over-done and hard- not light and crispy. The tiny cup of salsa does taste good, however. The owner seemed very nice, but he forgot the guacamole and the tortillas that come with the order. He also charged me for two bottles of water, which I ordered, but he discovered they were out of water and did not refund my money. I read their reviews and almost every one of them are positive- so I'm really perplexed by how poorly my food was prepared.

A family restaurant with very fast service, nice atmosphere, and a wide variety of hot sauces. Food was tasty and came out fast. Would visit again. Would like to see margaritas there someday on the menu. The family of the owners were there and the kids so funny. A good place to grab a quick meal.

The service you get here is excellent. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The food comes out relatively quick, which I really like. There are a lot of menu items and food options to choose from... Even having a special of the day. This food spot is very family friendly... With a highchair to use for infants. I highly recommend.

Wonderful place fantastic atmosphere only have one complaint and its honestly probably due to the average customer not being very cultured but as someone who truly appreciates genuine mexican food and restaurants owned by hispanic families It was very off putting when my food came with a side of fries everything else was spot on keep it up guys your foods wonderful your little restaurant is on my map and you can expect to see us back next week/weekend.
