great little pet store! went there in search of rats & to my surprise they had plenty available for purchase at great prices! very friendly & lots of variety in their inventory of not only pet accessories but animals too! also loved seeing the kitties roaming around the store. i will be going back!

Very friendly staff and some very soft and friendly kitties to greet me at the front door!This shop has a large selection of pets and the people working in the shop while I was there were very friendly. Lots of cute baby birds, plenty of fish, and other furry critters. Food and supplies for all of them as well!

I buy all my birds and rats at animal house. She has the best stuff and if she doesn't have it she'll order it for you. Lots of small Exotics and a good selection of fish. Everything you need in one small town friendly store.

Love this place. Owner is very knowledgeable. A nice Parrott flies around sometimes and will land on you and they have treats available. Decent prices. Nice staff. Nice variety available.

wednesday july 19 23. bought a bird from here. i was very satisfied with costumer service. picture was taken day of buying bird. bird is very healthy and friendly and was well hand fed and cared for. i thought they had a fairly large selection of fish, birds, reptiles, spiders and mice. i also believe the prices where fair.

I've been going to this shop for years and have never left unhappy about my time or service spent there. Every pet I've gotten from her have been happy and healthy. She always has the information I need for caring for my snakes. I've been to many pet stores and this is easily my favorite you can see the care she puts into her animals and shop. I highly recommend this place and asking all the questions you have about caring for your animals, if she doesn't know she will find out. Lovely place.

The owner is always helpful as well as the staff. I bought a dog collar and borrowed a tape measure to make sure I bought the right size. After leaving I realized I needed help adjusting the size and the owner thankfully adjusted it for my dog to fight correctly. She even explained it should have 2 fingers of space for safety and comfort. Krazy days sale price was given for the purchase as well. And lastly I'm always impressed with the wide variety of pets for sale. And gotta love the in-house cats that coexist peacefully.

I made a trip to Keokuk for their holliday celebration of local businesses and the Animal House really impressed me.Everyone working there is very friendly and engaging. I bought worms and crickets and I'm very happy with my purchases. Far lower prices than corporate pet stores and they lasted longer too.However, please bring cash as they do not take debt/credit cards. I was short of a few dollars and the owner was kind enough to let it slide and have the food for my pets.The pet selection varity there is top notch with many unique creatures. A wonderful variety of reptiles, arachnids, fish, etc. I've been searching for a pet store like this for a long time. A local pet store where I can see a wide variety of interesting pets, friendly service, and the place feels like it has genuine passion.I live an hour away from the Animal House but I will definitely be returning there soon for their service and products.Much love and support to the Animal House!

One of the best pet stores that I've ever been to. The owner, Cindy, is super nice and very helpful. If there's anything you need that she doesn't have in the store, she will order it in for you. Me and my fiancé go in at least twice a week for crickets for our bearded dragon and I still enjoy going in and checking everything out. You definitely won't be disappointed with this pet store!

I love going here! Not only do they have a good selection, in my opinion, I also love the animals that roam around. My favorite is the bird next to the counter who whistles when he sits on my shoulder as I shop. They are reasonably priced, very polite and if they do not have something you need, then they will order it for you ASAP!

Great pet store. They have a variety of pets to choose from included several varieties of birds, fish, and rodents. I was really impressed with their selection of reptiles. They have lizards, snakes, etc. which we don't often have in pet stores in our area. They were really helpful and enjoyed helping my daughter pet and play with some of the guinea pigs.

The owner is very polite and knowledgeable. She went out of her way to help me with a custom order, of which I am very pleased. I will definately travel the 4 hours again, to deal with her personally. Met an employee and her daughter, both as polite as she. Nice small town business.

This is a great store. The staff treat the animals with care and are very polite. They have all kinds of pets and shop animals. They have fish, rats, mice, snakes, bird and more. They also sell all kinds of accessories and decoration for you animals homes to make sure it looks beautiful and stays fresh. This was my first pet store and is a great place to start.

We have purchased 2 fish from the Animal House in Keokuk and have had WONDERFUL service everytime!!! They also have tons of animal toys and necessities that you wont find at your typical Walmart. Cindy gives us all the information we need and answers all of my questions. Definitely recommend!

It's the only pet store in town you have no choice and they're closed on Mondays and sometimes you go there and they're not open for no reason when you do get something from there the woman reeks of alcohol, and was quite rude.

A great place to go if you need a pet or just want to see some really neat critters.Cindy is a fun and helpful shop owner that will go the extra mile for you.They have some cool aquarium décor along with a good variety of tropical fish.Definitely a place to shop.

When I came to this pet store, the lady hardly noticed I was there. The place stunk and the lady was force feeding a snake behind the counter (which you should NEVER do). I do appreciate the wide variety of animals. But most of the animals do not look that heathy.
