Not rushing the clock to get to the next pet....Very in-depth..Relaxed atomsphere and caring....When you leave your pet their well being is your foremost concern....The caring staff knows that and keeps you informed of your pets progress.....This is Ember...... A registered Rhodesian Ridgeback...On the same farm 52 years we have a owned a lot of dogs....Ember is one of the best and very smart and lovable and is my dog of 6 years. She goes where I go....She is at home at Krichel's and everyone there is attracted to her....Ember wants them all to know she is aboard......Her first Mast Cell Tumor was removed 4 months ago with tremendous success and we have another one to remove and hoping this is successful also......She is in the best of care.......

They have never let me down!! Can always count on them. Dr. Beale and Dr Fuller are amazing. I have had to call them at home after hours. I have even had to take Kitty in unannounced because he was so sick. Its never been a problem. I love that they treat your pet like it was their own!

This is the most expensive of the vets in the area, but it is also a full-service veterinarian hospital, and worth every penny. All three doctors are wonderful, caring, professional people who really are concerned about the well-being of each one of my cats and dog. (They also serve exotic pets.) They all have tremendous expertise as well. I have been extremely happy with their services for many years. I have gone to all the vets in Keokuk, and they are all excellent, but Krichel's is absolutely the best.

Dr. Fuller has been caring for my kitties ever since we returned to this area 22 years ago and has provided services from boarding to annual exams and shots to surgeries. She and all the Krichel employees are very kind and caring with the cats and thorough in their work. I couldn't ask for better pet care and wouldn't consider taking my current cat, Molly, anywhere else.

The most thorough vet care my dog has ever received. Everyone working at this facility truly cares about animals. I took my dog in for a rabies booster and they took the time to check him for fleas, trim his nails, weigh him, pulled a rotten tooth, took a 3 view xray of his chest and refilled his heart medicine and asked me about all of my questions and concerns, even took the time to chat with my 3 year old son who was with me. I will be transferring to this vet clinic for all of my vet needs!!!

The vets at Krichel go above and beyond to make sure your furry friend is given the best care. We have had nothing but positive experiences. I want to especially give a shout out to their emergency, after hours staff. They made sure our dog was cared for when many other vets in southeast Iowa were unwilling to take weekend calls or see a patient that was not already established. Life savers! Literally!

I didn't actually take my dog here because they didn't have time to get him in and it was an emergency but they referred me to another veterinary clinic and told me if they couldn't get him in then to call them back and they would make sure he was seen that day. True love of animals and understanding of the love of the owners!

I absolutely love this place! Everyone just loves my sweet kitty, Jo, and they always treat her as if she is their own! They are always professional, super friendly, definitely helpful and most importantly very knowledgeable about what is best for my Josephine! They want the best for her just as I do and always lay out all the options up front, no surprises.I also appreciate how open the office setup is. This way Jo gets to mingle while we wait in between testing (she just loves all the attention and treats)!Jo was a stray when she came to us and has gone through quite a bit, but you'd never know it because that little girl doesn't let anything get her down and everyone at Krichel's play a huge role in that and I honestly can't thank them enough.From the bottom of my pet parent heart, thank you, for everything y'all have done and continue to do for my sweet Josephine!

Absolutely great service. They seem to really care about your pet & what is going on with it, very friendly and polite staff. Thorough examination & well explained diagnosis and treatment plan. We took our guinea pig in who had a foot problem. They couldn't x-ray it with a regular x-ray so they decided to try the dental x-ray machine & the results couldn't have been better. The image was very clear & detailed. It was the first time they had tried to use the dental x-ray for something other than teeth. We were from out of state visiting for the 4th of July. They worked us in & we still didn't have to wait very long at all. If you live in the area or just need a vet while in the area visiting, you can not go wrong with this place nor will you find a better, caring vet staff. I recommend this business to anyone that needs & wants superior service!

Kirchel is always patient and understanding. We adopted an abused dog and her first visit the staff sat with her over an hour just letting her get used to them. Now she enjoys seeing her friends there! The best vet around!

We've used Krichel Animal Hospital for over 10 years, possibly over 15 years. 9 years ago we moved an hour away from Keokuk. We still drive an hour to take our pets there because we trust their care. The only thing we can complain about would be the markup on some things are a bit crazy, like the cost of fluids in house. You pay nearly the cost of an entire box for 1/4 of 1 bag. They have excellent customer service, and all of the doctors are caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate. While not all of our experiences have been perfect, we wouldn't consider anything a reason to go elsewhere, and when that involves an hour drive one way...I think that speaks volumes! Would highly recommend!
