Cappuccino is my go to drink for any coffee shop I visit the first time as my gauge for good coffee. It was tasty!To much milk though, too much foam. But that Kalona milk and the espresso shots where strong enough to make it balance alright.I think any cappuccino over 8oz is way to much. 6 oz is ideal with microfoams.It had great space inside for just about any person.

This little coffee shop is a hive of activity in this quaint little town where they must value it highly. I stop here every time I'm in Kalona as it's a quick option for hot coffee for my drove back to Cedar Rapids. The coffee is good. The counter help is mostly disinterested. I wouldn't say it's dirty but it's also not the cleanest. But this may be to their high volume of traffic. I have never had the food so I really should comment as N/A but I can see that it's the standard fare of scones and muffins. They do have a nice display of the amazing chocolates from the Kalona Chocolate Shop which is just around the corner from this shop and well worth the visit.

My only complaint is that when I came back for a second time, the Strawberry 🍓 shortcake was TOO SWEET 😞, To caramely. It was horrible 😭😭😔.Such a lovely place. Full of people enjoying the atmosphere and yes enjoying the drink or food. It looked small for me, but when you enter is big.

What a great little small town coffee shop! The girls that work here are always smiling and seem to be in a good mood. They are quick and getting multiple orders ready, you never really wait that long. The atmosphere in here is really nice, lots of places to sit and enjoy your drink and they offer free wi-fi for their customers.

Simply the best in Washington County! Plenty of coffee flavors hot and cold. Fresh tastes, baked goods that have that just-right freshness and not too sweet. Kalona chocolates abound (I think one of the baristas told us Kalona Chocolates own the coffee shop too). Cozy little rooms to sit at a table or on comfy sofas. You can sit there for hours without anyone bugging you and there is Wi-Fi. Also, the service seems to be improving. We often drive 15 minutes from our town (that has two okay coffee shops) to go to the Kalona Coffee House. Open year round and every day but Sunday and some holidays.Parking: On-street parking. Depending on the day of the week and the time of day, you may have to park around the corner but usually spaces in front (and handicapped parking on the street as well). It's a small town so if there are no spots in front, the walk is never super far.

The coffee is great and you could smell the coffee from the other side of the street, it really smells amazing. It's pricy but they're a small business so that's expected. The only issue I have is that it's too kid friendly. There's a little play area in the back that's actually really cool and I'd love to hang out back there one day but I can't because that would be weird.

This is my second time visiting this coffee shop, I'm from California, and I love it!I visited in the summer a few years ago and now in the winter and I loved it for both seasons. I got the peppermint bark mocha and my husband got the Carmel Apple tea. They are both excellent!Love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. There is even a kids play room

Good coffee, very very slow service. The employees do not seem to have a grasp on what it means to make something with an extra shot of espresso, they always seem confused as to why I would order something so absurd at a coffee shop 🤣

The Mocha Frappe tasted great! The place also has wifi and multiple seats and rooms which are very work friendly. The only thing that was really annoying was the amount of flies that were in the cafe!

Great coffee and nice atmosphere. Good WiFi and fresh baked goods. Also has a children's play area which is great for parents but can be noisy when kids are running around. However, there is a quiet study room.

A wonderful place to gather and catchup with friends and relatives! You can also reserve a quiet room off to the side for a date or quality one on one time with a friend. They serve a nice variety of coffee drinks, plus a few pastries and fruit smoothies. Definitely recommend this place!!
