Absolutely the perfect old fashion hardware store. They have so much in stock covering anything you might need. The service and repair shop is the only place I take small engine tools for service and repair. The work is always completed quick and for a very fair price.

I needed a paint color to match a piece of trim and eyeballed it to a paint chip. Craig mixed the requested paint for me, but the color I chose was not even close. I took the paint back in, this time with a sample of the trim I was trying to match and told him if he could use what I had purchased to remix a better color that would be great but if not, I'd be glad to pay for a completely new quart (since I was the one who thought I could use my eyeball). He remixed my original purchase and matched the color spot on and even delivered it to me at work. This is an example of customer service the goes way above and beyond, folks. Note: they have a little computer 'gizmo' that can be used to match a color nearly exactly. Note in the photo my first selection on the left, his magic recipe on the right.

Had a great buying experience at Gambles. Purchased a Sthil yard tool. Ryan was very nice and knowledgeable about the different Sthil products. They have always been most helpful. You get a more personable experience in a small town hardware store compared to the big box stores in my opinion.They work on what they sale, they know their products and care about you and their reputation.I highly recommend and appreciate them.
