When they first opened, the Isles were wide open and you can walk around freely. It didn't take them too long before they had stuff stashed in the aisles waiting to go up on the shelves and it got to be a real pain to get around in. Their prices are still good and they're the quality of their matter if the product is still good oh, but I just hate being jammed in like that.

The staff at Dollar General in Kalona have always been friendly and helpful. Have never had a bad experience at this store. I speak for myself but I am sure others have said, there is not enough staff! There is usually 2 employees and that's it. Kinda sucks to wait to check out!!

I would just like to say that Charles checked me out and I didn’t get everything I was looking for and he left the register to go help me find it. He is the absolute bomb and save the day kudos to a great employee

I was disappointed tonight when I decided to bypass Walmart because I knew you guys were open until 10:00, just to find out your doors were locked at 9:28. You need to have constant hours, especially being being as far from any other store as you are.

Hire more people to stock for crying outloud.. there's always stacks and carts of merchandise in many aisles any time I have gone in. . Someone to straighten shelves and much more friendlier faces at the register wouldn't hurt either.If there were any closer stores to me, that weren't expensive, I wouldn't bother with Dollar General ever again.

I love this place, it is my go-to. Milk, eggs, butter, frozen, chips, laundry, auto, household, towels, sheets, rugs.... and it is clean and bright! No smells, ever. Cheerful checkers, very helpful.

There was one person on duty,it appeared, occupied with the cash register. Finding product s without help is always daunting at this location. It is jammed full of stuff. Some of it not of sufficient quality to purchase bat any price.

The service is awful. I avoid going here at all cost but sometimes it hard for last minute things living in Kalona on Sunday's. I drive to Iowa City to Wal-Mart majority of the time. I have waited for an employee to finish smoking her cigarette at the front door multiple time to check out.
