We had a very good experience, the fence looks fantastic, it has two doors thar open smoothly and its exactly what we asked for. They gave us some written plans with the details before and the exact measures so we could confirm before paying a deposit, it was easy to arrange the first visit and we received the estimate within 24 hours. The estimate was very competitive and better priced than other companies we checked on the area. The workers did hit the internet cable when doing the holes for the posts but I received an email informing inmediately and I could have it fixed before they even finished that same day. Brandon was very good keeping us informed and updated about any changes in the date (due to weather mainly), etc. I only wish we could pay online/over the phone without the extra fee (3%) as I dont like mailing checks and its a bit further from my home to drive. Overall, I would work with them again.

American Fence is by far the best fence company in the metro area! I had them install a 4 ft black link fence and they did an amazing job! They are professional, provide excellent service, timely, great follow up and fast working! I just used them again to replace that fence from 3 years ago, that still looked like new, with a 6 ft fence for my newly adopted fence jumping dog. They removed and installed the fence quickly and once again exceeded my expectations with their timeliness and were excellent to work. I'm torn between a 1 and 2 - here's why (and I have had this wood fence for a few years); Install went OK, very quick which was a bit concerning but nice and even and as agreed upon.Flash forward a few years and I won't mention the warping which is not unexpected but I've lost count of how many horizontal braces I've had to replace as they've totally rotted out and I've got 2 posts (that I know of) that have rotted out and need replacement - I'm wondering what type of garbage wood they used and obviously there was no sorting when they built this for me.I've built 2 fences in my life (didn't have time for this one) and both of them are still doing just fine so I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of materials.

We just recently had our vinyl fence installed and I HIGHLY recommend American Fence Co.!!! Dan M. was great to work with and stayed patient throughout the whole process - never pushy. To be honest, they weren’t the cheapest nor were they the most expensive, but they were the most responsive and knowledgeable! Being on a corner lot which has it’s fencing restrictions, Dan went to bat for us with the city even setting up his own meeting with them at our property. Above and beyond service. We had over 350+ feet and 3 gates installed on a hillside, sloped walkout lot with a nightmare of unevenness terrain in the midst of winter storms and they executed perfectly! American Fence Co. has helped us reconfigure our fence design. They put in the original fence and have come back twice at our request to move parts of it to different angles or locations for us. I'm so glad we chose this business. They were quick to measure, quick to quote, and quick to update us on the project. If there was an update needed on materials, they let us know. They were respectful of our property, cleaned up after themselves, and now every time we drive home, we are happy with the new fence. It matches our deck, keeps our dogs safe, and adds value to the home.

We are commercial property owners in the Des Moines area. We decided to give this company a shot at building some gates before we got a quote on Fencing a commercial property. Spoke with a guy who said he would get us a quote in a couple days, waited a week and called back. That guy was out but the new guy I talked to would find out what's going on and call back by the end of the day. Waited another week called back talked to a third guy same story. Now 3 weeks in and nobody ever called back or sent a quote. Poor service on the front end imagine what's its like if you gire these guys. Plenty of fence companies out there. These guys obviously don't care about customers.

Our neighbor had a 6’ privacy fence installed recently. This crew did a horrible job with cleanup. They left pieces of fencing with nails on my side of the property which I had to clean up. Also leaving mounds of dirt in my white rock landscaped area. I would expect better from a company of this size. I hate writing reviews to this nature but with such low attention to detail I had give my 2sense.

I called a few places to get quotes on a vinyl fence. American Fence Company was about $1800 less than others as they were working during the winter months and keeping their crews busy. Other companies were putting together lists for the spring. Our salesperson, Brandon, was very helpful. He stopped by to pick up our deposit and responded quickly to any questions I had. American Fence did a super plus job. I had about 4 companies come to do estimates for a side by side driveway privacy Fence. The earliest these guys could install was April. Instead of June another said.30 days after install starts to get space between boards as they were touching. We looked for options n went with wood lath n covered with staple nail gun. Works great 👍We have lived here almost 6 years n lots of different neighbors move in move out at least 4 different ones. This company did absolutely 💯the best job. Some adjustments had to be made after install n they were great about making it right. Very easy to work with. Very pleased. We did steel posts, fir wood fence n full privacy fence n privacy gate.
