We adopted a kitten (named Cressida at the time) from Kiya Koda. They were so kind and great to work with throughout the process. She was too young to spay before we adopted her, so they scheduled and paid for her spay and vaccinations. Knowing what we paid for our other cat to go through that, there's no way the shelter is breaking even with an $85 adoption fee. We'll be making another donation to help cover the costs. We love our kitten (now named Jasper) and are so thankful for another loving pet from Kiya Koda.(The onesie in the picture is to keep her from pulling her stitches out following her spay.)

We rescued Kain in December of 2011 from Kiya Koda. Among the many pups they had, "Casey" at the time, caught my eye the 2nd time around. 11 years later, I think we snagged one of the best dogs ever! His life flipped a complete 180° and he might be one of the happiest rescues ever in the books 😍 our best guess, he is around 11 or 12 now but still acts very much like the puppy we rescued so long ago. Thank you Kiya Koda for over a decade of great memories 💚 ADOPT DONT SHOP!!!!

I rescued Ozzy a few months ago. He was a very scared, angry cat when I got him. I just wanted to let the amazing staff at Kiya Koda know that he is loving his new life here. He's sweet and cuddly and loves to play. And he lives his treats!

They had to keep my cat longer than I had originally planned because I got ill and they were very gracious about it! Manager Julie was wonderful. Laura delivered my cat to me as I was unable to pick him up. I highly recommend Kiya Koda!!

This place is amazing, we live out in the country and get quite a few animals that are either dumped or running free. They have been super helpful getting these animals to a safe place and hopefully find their owner or get adopted. They are always super nice helpful. Will be making a supply donation soon.

They helped me find the perfect cats for my family. I walked in only wanting one and walked out with two. They’re the best cats with the best personalities!! The lady that helped me knew so much about the cats she cared for and you could tell she loved them. She knew each ones personalities and which was good with kids or which were more on the hyper end. They sent them for updates shots the same day and got me a box for the surprise fur baby I was bringing home. I can’t say enough good things about this humane society. Thank you so much!!

They are open by appointment but it's very easy to get a convenient time slot. We stopped in to check out the baby kittens and there were quite a few to choose from. The $85 adoption fee covers vaccinations and a neuter, which is nice. The tough thing is choosing just one!

We found a young puppy who needed a yard with alot of energy. Also he was loud so We found a residence with soundproof rooms. I spoke to management and they told us if we could find an apartment with a dog park or play area it would be a great match. We came back multiple times to ensure the dog was a good fit with our child. Everyone on the staff seemed lovely and very helpful. We then applied to take the dog home dats after signing a lease to the apartment. They then denied us stating after speaking to other workers they decided he needs a yard. I reiterated the fact that we had an entire dog park and someone would be home with him all hours of the day. They Said he barked to loud. I explained the soundproof rooms and how we jumped through hoops to meet their expectations. And no further reason could be explained on why we were denied. I am very disappointed our little boy won't be able to take the dog home he has bonded with and we are unable to support a local business.

I have adopted at least two kitties and two dogs there throughout my 18 or 20 years living in the area. I have always had good luck with the animals I chose and appreciate the professionalism at the front desk-I KNOW that is not an easy job! They genuinely are thrilled they have a forever home adopting and do not make you feel like you aren't good enough!

Friendly people and decent selection of dogs.Sadly, per the notes on the whiteboards on the front of the cages, the dogs we really liked have to be the only dog and we already have one. Highly recommended shelter!

Been having issues lately of my fathers dog getting out of the gate despite objects blocking it specifically so he couldn’t push through. Gate was somehow opened twice today and understandably kiya koda threatened to keep him but also mentioned his old owner wants him back and completely panicked and ripped the paper out of my hands weirdly quick (and slit my finger in the motion with the paper) when I was reading what they wanted me to sign stating that I wasn’t allowed to see that information even though she handed it directly to me because it was quote “who brought him in” after trying to say they had to pick him up. Acting a little suspicious and I’ve heard (granted it was YEARS ago) rumors of kiya koda purposely taking back and letting dogs loose which I payed no mind to because I didn’t believe it obviously then… Her attitude/behavior and the information they were trying to tell us was not adding up and it’s not possible for the dog to be unlocking the gate without damaging it, we’re finding it pretty odd he’s getting out all of a sudden and they’re threatening to keep him when his old owner wants him back suddenly. On another note months ago there was two dogs running in and out of the street that I called in because I couldn’t catch them and a older lady told me they do not do anything about it unless already contained. So I guess nowadays they’re also picking and choosing what dogs to be worried about. Not exactly sure what’s all going on here, I just wanted to warn other pet owners because nothing makes sense! Plus side it smells better than it use too.

We boarded our dogs here for a week while on vacation and the staff did a fantastic job. We called and they would give us live updates and the staff was very friendly! Prices are very competitive and I would highly recommend them!

This place is the bomb! I was just there and they were building a Catio, pretty cool! Also they have 2 dogs right now that they are nursing back to health, both look pretty Amazing!!! Great job ladies!!!

They take care of homeless animals. They also take in animals saved from really bad owners, nurse them back to life and find a home for them. Its all good. They run on a shoestring budget so feel free to give them a donation.

Our dogs were taken here after they got out of our yard, they were so very nice when I called to let them know we would be there to pick them up. The cost to keep them over night was very low!!! We gave extra!!

They were extremely quick to respond to a stray I had found. You can tell that they care a lot about the animals and are dedicated to keeping them safe.
