Phenomenal staff hands down! We had a very serious emergency when our goat was mauled by the neighbors German shepards, Chloe the vet tech was very responsive and great and communicating whole showing empathy and an urgency to quickly get goat goat the best care possible. Both doctors from start to finish were informative while being realistic and providing the best care possible ! Thanks again to everyone involved , we are hopeful that goat goat is going to be okay , although it is going to be an uphill battle I think overall we couldn't have asked for a better clinic to help see us through such a horrific event.

Prices are reasonable! The place a has a big floor plan. Sick pets need space. I was in yesterday for the first time. My original vet is booked out for weeks. Whenever I brought my dog to the vet before. It was always a terrible experience for my dog. He would shake, and start drooling excessively. Going into the backroom he would scream/bark. He didn't like the metal tables. He was scared of the vet. they were expensive.This was a different experience. Morgan Rosenberg was very gentle with my dog. Had the right energy. An Was very clear on what needed to be done. An did so in a manner where my dog wasn't stressed out. She found the issue with my dog and he's being treated now. He already seems a little betterI have to drive from des moines to Indianola. It's worth the drive.

In my opinion, this is the best vet around. They have done a couple of surgeries on my dog with amazing results. I couldn't be happier.

This is the vet I used to always recommend to everyone. Now with new staff I wouldn't recommend these vets to anyone. Very unprofessional. Sure it's clean but the staff there is only out for the money. Had 1 dog that had a tumor misdiagnosed, had 1 vet challenge me in the waiting room in front of others about my decision regarding putting another dog down when she knew nothing about the situation & wasn't the vet that I was there to see. The office manager was very rude on another occasion. Each visit I kept telling myself the vet must be having an off day. Or that they were just having growing pains since the staff was new but I haven't had a good experience in 2 years now. Time to find a new vet I guess.

Years ago, I brought my dog here for a simple teeth cleaning. The vet left my sweet dog on the metal table with all of the bright, hot lights on. When I went to pick her up, the vet lied to me, and said it was just a fluke. I got copies of her chart and her temperature was 10 ° above normal. She died because the vet left her for hours under the hot lights.

I have been lucky enough to have found this amazing Vet Clinic 9 years ago. All of my pets come here. Even after leaving the area for 3 years, once I returned, back to Indianola Vet Clinic we came!! Caring & compassionate doctors and staff. I cannot say enough good about all of them. I drive the 30 min + because they are worth it!! Keep up the awesome Clinic… my 3 pups love you all!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I am so thankful for IVC and their whole team. My dog required emergency GI surgery and the emergency pet hospital I was at in Des Moines couldn’t do the surgery that day due to its more complicated nature. The Des Moines pet hospital called around town, and Dr. Stumpf generously offered to stay late and do it same-night for my dog. I immediately drove to IVC and they quickly got things going, I got an update from Dr. Stumpf that everything went well! I am so grateful for the immediate and amazing care my dog received. Everyone working in the front and back loved on my dog and were so kind. Such a great experience, during a very stressful time.

Friendly and helpful. We walkin on Saturday morning for dog vaccine. The waiting period was not long considering it was holiday weekend and other veterinarians office were closed so others were traveling to Indianola as we did.

For 45 years (at first throughmy parents), our pets have received top service at Indianola Vet--from our first cat Charlie, to dogs, and now to Sasha and Felix (cats again). It's a good place. They sometimes are a bit busy (really the only possible issue), but they are solid, well-trained, & professional at their work. Felix has diabetes w insulin needed twice daily and at 10 is still like a young lion. The cats say thank you, too. Jean Bartholomew

This review is in regard to a combination of two visits related to a pair of goat kids with scours, one who stopped eating.They provided effective help in a prompt manner. They worked with me outside of business hours when it became necessary. They pointed me to resources and a book where I could better educate myself to help address and prevent issues in the future. They walked me through procedures that may have been needed at home. They were empathetic, professional, and encouraging.They did all of this at a more than reasonable cost.Without their help, I definitely would have lost one kid. One week later, both kids are healthy and eating vigorously. Thank you Tanner, Morgan, and Chloe.

Bad customer service. I waited an hour to put my dying cats to sleep. Had to leave because I had to work. Asked how much longer it would be and they couldn’t tell me. They did apologize for the bad service.

The team here is fantastic. Everyone communicates clearly and effectively, but more importantly they treat every animal as if they were their own. This clinic also works exceptionally well with reactive/nervous animals. Do not hesitate to take your reactive animals here, just let the staff know when you call what your animals needs! Yes you will have to wait, but the place is so busy because people trust them, they make time to see you and your pet and address your concerns, all while treating everyone so well. Thank you to the staff here, you all are amazing.

I’ve been bringing my dog here since she was 7 weeks old, she is now 6 years old! All of the staff is wonderful and have helped me a ton with my dog, but unfortunately the receptionist Christina was pretty rude to me, I was told they didn’t have time to see my dog even though it was 415 when I got there and to come back tomorrow… she also called me kiddo which I didn’t appreciate considering I’m a 27 year old women….I then had to call again and ask to speak to the office manager (who was incredibly helpful!!) while sitting in the lobby waiting my turn the same receptionist was being very passive aggressive about having full rooms and people waiting in the lobby….

We brought our cat here recently. Although all the efforts did not pay off in the end for us I would still highly recommend them to anyone!! The vets are all so nice and knowledgable. All our options were talked through completely. They were very compassionate. We did get a couple last special days with our boy and I would not trade that for anything. A big thank you for all you did for our Liono. If and when I get a pet again I will use them as my vet!

Today I had to take my bulldog to the clinic. She had a bad cut on her head and overnight it got worse to the point where her eye was almost swollen shut. I was full of anxiety because I was worried about her. McKenna did an amazing job with my girl and made sure to address any concerns I had. This whole experience was amazing and after that visit I’ll definitely be establishing care with her for all my other animals. Huge thank you to her for making my girl feel so much better!

We had to send two cats on and they were very considerate and caring to help us through the process!We have a new puppy and I am definitely taking him to this office for his care!! I am sure they can give me tips on training the little blockhead! 😁The vet was perfect for his first visit. Shots, nail clipping, worming medicine, and two tablets ( fleas and heartworm-- not her fault he threw them up)

My first time bringing my 11 lb. Chihuahua in to be looked at by the Doc. She has Heart issues and will be on meds for the rest of her life. Back to the reviews.I didn't have an appointment, when I called they said to come in and they would work her in,and they did, remarkably fast (within 1 1/2 hours). Did X-rays, etc, brought her up on her shots, she is good to go !! The staff was kind,considerate,and very helpful. They talked with me about Budget,etc. I am very pleased and will continue to Vet here. The place was clean and seemed well taken care of for an older building. Lots of parking available. Reasonably priced on the Services rendered.

Having to put a pet down is one of the hardest things we experience as people. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Ben and his compassion, empathy, and patience when it comes to this difficult moment. Nothing felt rushed—he let me fully express my concerns and counseled me through the decision. The clinic as a whole makes the process as easy as they possibly can, doing everything behind closed doors and giving you as much time with your pet as you’d like. Their communication is very poor. Last year my dog went under and they saw a few spots that they thought needed to be removed but wanted to wait for my permission. I completely understand, gave them my permission and rescheduled the surgery. They didn't remove the lump that they told me they thought needed removed and would like to wait and see but continued with other bumps that weren't labeled a concern (skin tags). They didn't tell me this prior to at the surgical consultation nor did they tell me when I dropped off my dog. My dogs over 10 years old, he can't be going under for things that aren't important especially when the surgery was originally scheduled for something else. Now, when they tell me in 6 months they need to have the surgery, it will be so much higher risk plus he'll have an unneeded one under his belt
