On Mother’s Day, my daughter and I stopped in to order breakfast to go, so we could eat at the park together. We were told it would be a 30 min wait. It definitely was. That was fine. BUT forgot our drinks, and we get to the park and realize they gave me a bag of syrup, butter and other condiments, but no pancakes (which I ordered instead of toast). I was pretty disappointed. I, of course called and was able to pick my pancakes up, but had to leave the park and go back to hyvee. Food was okay. Daughter loved her bfast burrito. Should have gone to Crouse 😞

The people who work here are amazing. The management not so. I recommend you ask Nita at the bakery and she will deliver top Notch of what you want. The kitchen is always willing to meet your needs if you wish to dine in. Next time you want sour dough bread, ask for Nita!

Not real sure how review a grocery store chain. It's always clean n the employees r friendly. However they have def bought into this whole shrinkflation we r in the midst in!!! I firmly believe that they should do a much better job at supporting more local farmers and conveyors. We have plenty of local company that they are def not supporting. But that doesn't really make them any different then any other chain.

Good selection and love that the donuts in the bakery are behind glass. But the quality definitely needs improvement. Not the best tasting pudding filled bismarks out of all Hy-Vees

The Hy-Chi dept. Was AWESOME for being patient and flexible with a large and complex order for a celebration of life for my grandma. Management, when you read this - Bo, KJ, and Phu all deserve a raise!

Very disappointed in HyVee these days. They are downsizing the variety of options so you are forced to use the store brand. Sometimes this is ok, but not always.

This is in a smaller town and people are great. Love the fuel saver program. Also, during Christmas, delivery has a great promotion, which I take advantage of. While shopping your items, the person at HyVee fully communicates, and if you forget something, they are always willing to accommodate.

I've noticed where Hy-Vee is migrating more and more towards their brand of products they don't have the selection they used to have therefore I may have to make a choice to shop elsewhere

It’s a minefield of gouged prices. But, if you’re careful (and use your Ibotta app) you can find products that are harder to find and actually some good deals. The workers are Super Friendly! Self service checkout has improved but don’t even bother scanning the barcode on produce. Whoever is responsible for entering those into the system doesn’t apparently give a rip. (Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a produce manager in Indianola.)

They have a good selection of meats, except they don't have whole flank steaks.I enjoy the restaurant often for breakfast.The Asian section is lacking in very basic items. Like sushi rice. And nori sheets.They are very common items these days.But I do like the store. It is always clean and the people are always friendly.

I love going here for groceries but as far as pharmacy, the last and only 3 times a nightmare! I don't know what is wrong but I wouldn't go here for myself. I only am going for my mother. Worst I had seen so far!

We are just passing through and had planned to stop for the night at Walmart but they no longer allow RV overnights. Hy-Vee was very accommodating, allowing us to park next to their retaining wall for the night. Since we were there, we went shopping. OMG, loved this store. Not only are my fridge and ice chest fully loaded but we indulged in their restaurant/deli. I had the all you can eat Salad/Fruit/Soup/Taco Bar which was fresh and flavorful at a good price. So much fun to be able to sample so many items. My husband opted for a personalized pizza and he was thrilled. Lots of leftover pizza to squeeze into our fridge.Loved the store. They had the best store deli I have ever been to and hands down the most pleasant and helpful employees. And the fresh donuts........😋.

Always more expensive and they play their pricing game to limit number of items on sale you can buy, or they make you buy more than one to get the cheaper price as on sign.Hy Vee use to have a smile in every aisle, not any longer there is hardly anyone in the aisles to help customers that need help. Usually when I go to shop the night stalk crew is out stocking product on shelves. They have poor attitudes and seemingly purposely place boxes in your way and block shopping cart. They act as if you are in their way. Not the type of customer service you deserve for shopping.

Always helpful! Veggies weren't what I expected today though.. they have the least expensive keto tortillas around! Save your money though and buy either Walmart brand or name brand. Hy-Vee's were stuck together and fell apart when we tried to separate them.

I went into the store and that day I had to use the card because I couldn't breathe; therefore, I did ask for some help to get a case of water. The kid went and got the water, came back, rang it up for me. he was going to help me take it out to my car. then he helped me ring up the rest of my stuff as he saw that I was struggling...come to find out I was having congestive heart failure.He was so helpful and I was so appreciative: however, during the end of my visit I was surprised to find the front end manager come tell that kid to go to aisle number four and was rude about it quite frankly. he was expecting him to leave me in the dust and go help them...I don't know if it was Hy-Vee executive or someone more important than me or what. They had some other kid help me out with my groceries and he was very nice.At least I got help out but I don't know why the other kid was made to go to help someone else. he helped me and I think he deserves a promotion not condemnation.I think that front end manager should take customer service lessons from his people. This guy stepped up to the plate, helped a sick customer and should not have been belittled in front of anyone. I told him that he did a great job because I could see he was embarrassed. Shame on you 50th, wdm Hy-Vee.

Very friendly. Prices have lowered . Clean. Well stocked. Nate a great manager. Help to car for disabled. Products other store doesn't have. Full service. Been shopping HyVee since 1962. My mother worked at HyVee when they bought Ray's Food liner in Ottumwa.. She met Mr Hyde and Mr Vrendenburg many times.

Actually it was excellent at Indianola Hyvee today, as usual; everyone friendly and polite 😀 I have recently discovered their fuel saver, perks program and it is well worth it❤️❤️
