Arrived just after 8 pm. Customer was leaving the store & by the time I got to the front door it was locked. Hours say 8 am - 9 pm. Knocked on the door & called twice. Not a single employee in sight & no answer. I usually have to stop by here every few years I come back to visit family & it seems to be getting worse & worse. Terribly run store run by a horrible company!

This store needs a look. It could be a very busy store. While I was here, 8 people in store to buy things. The self register has been out for a week, now the only running computer is out. LOST SALES! Store hours have changed to not open til 12. These little towns depend on dollar general tor their needs. Please, dollar general, take a closer look at this store. My daughter lives here and it is a sad store. I live in a small town 2 hours away. The store is clean, organized and the workers are amazing. Please help your huxley, ia store!

Ever since this location changed management it's gone further downhill. The current store manager always talks down on the one employee who's always there closing alone. The store looks like a complete mess and the store manager is breathing down the employee's neck. I'd give zero stars if I could. The employees are lazy and don't care about anything. Instead of looking to see if anyone was at the register. They decided to ignore the person in line. This place should be shut down permanently. The amount of mold and dead bugs I saw should not even exist in a store in general.

Manager was yelling at employees or outside smoking. Two young puppies were being pushed around in a shopping cart with no one working there stopping them.

Staff on duty was GREAT! Crawling up on ladders to get stuff off the top shelf for me. And digging around to find BIG bags to put my new pillow in for me!

I needed dog food and was on my way back from Ankeny so I stopped to see if Huxley's. Store had the brand I buy. I was extremely happy to see they had it and it was cheaper than Wal-mart in Ames where I normally buy it but dislike going there because too many people are there running around without masks. Thanks DG for being a great store with great people who took the time to help me find the things I needed.

I really love going to this little store cause I'm suprised by the household stuff they carry. but u have to be lucky going in cause a lot of times on the weekend there out of most stuff, which is a bummer when I want to use the save $5 on $25 coupon.

Much faster to get in and out of than other stores and the prices on pop are better than the Fareway or Caseys who want to charge 4x as much. People who work there are generally friendly. They have most of the stuff I need so I don't have to go to walmart.

There's a lot of options here and staff are very friendly. However, if you used any kind of mobility aid such as a wheelchair or walker, it would be difficult to walk through the store. It's very overcrowded with items.

Manager was so rude and yelling at employees. Barking orders in front of customers. Aisles blocked. Not sure I’ll be back because of manager!

Dont put sales tags up before the sales date and you disnt give me one of my pops so you got some free money. Not worth my time going there anymore. Worst customer service. Lost my buisness.

Rude employees. Always carts of product in isles which are small to begin with. Update: 6/19/18 employees too busy smoking outside while customers waited inside store at register.

The parking and parkin lot are terrible. Though the employees are generally friendly the store is old, over crowded and dingy.

The store is in a poor place. Manager is never around when there are problems. Rude when answering the phone. Manager is usually preoccupied on his personal phone.
