Tom and I were very impressed with Dr. Tracy! She was wonderful! She took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. We didn’t feel like we were just a number being rushed out the door. She was fantastic!! Jaci is always amazing! I’ve known her since adopting pets at the shelter. We are so glad we are switching our vet care to Humboldt.Humboldt Vets and staff are amazing!! They take great care of our boys Duncan and Cooper!! Cooper has come a long ways since going to Humboldt. He shoulder barely bothers him any more and he is super skinny. My boys love their monthly chiropractic appointments with Dr. Aubrey!!

I took my son’s dog there to have some cuts looked at. Bailey took him back. She was gone about 3 -5 minutes and called me to the back. She said they did not need sutures. Showed meThe meds and spray then said Dr. Meyer would be in. I waited about 13 minutes and she came in spent exactly 5 minutes telling me what the meds were and checking the invoice. When I went to pay my bill the exam was over $75! ForLiterally no more than 10 minutes..part of which she spent looking at the computer to see if I was billed for everything. Also the biohazard disposal fee is rediculous! $2.99 to throw away the exam gloves. That should be included in the cost of business. Especially when you charge $75+ for an exam. I feel that there should be a lesser charge applied for such a quick exam. I have used this clinic for Several years and Dr. Tracy is awesome and Dr. Aubrey too but the others are just so so! I am definitely looking at other practices.

All the staff were terrific!!! Can't imagine what more they could have done. I'm an anxious new mom and their patience, encouragement, and kindness put me at ease and trust. They never treated all my worrisome phone calls with anything but total empathy and understanding! However, Shadow hadn't calmed down even a little! Lol He seems to have more energy than before his surgery! 😴💜😴🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

I know I can trust that they have my cats best interests at heart! I am beyond grateful that I feel heard and that they are actually being taken care of in the couple visits here versus the 4 years elsewhere! Not only do I feel at ease and comfortable but so do my babies. Even the way they act coming home is night and day difference. Can NOT sing their praises enough! The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming and you can tell they have so much passion and genuinely care. Thank you really truly!!!

Humboldt Vet Clinic is very gentle, although when Sassy was getting her nails trimmed, the intern clipped a little to much and my pooch had blood drops. She got only the first pot and my husband and I both were like nope, you can stop. But when it came to sassy getting her animal. Glands expressed our medications, the humble vet clinic was exceptionally well done.

My Oliver always enjoys his "stay camp" at the Humboldt Vet Clinic. He always seems happy and very tired when we get home. We are pleased with the care he receives there and the ease of scheduling. We are confident we can vacation without worrying about him.

The short version: HVC requires you to have the animal vaccinated for rabies. If you don't, they take payment for an exam ($100) and won't go any further, even though they have meds ready to go.The long version: I have a cat who hasn't (willingly) eaten in a week due to severe respiratory congestion. My local vet tried an antibiotic which had no effect after four days. I came to HVC hoping to have some tests run to specify what the illness is so we know what antibiotic will work and which won't. They didn't want to do any tests because the results "can be interpreted." They were happy to give the cat a rabies vaccination & another antibiotic. The cat is not in good shape. Hasn't eaten in a week, energy levels are down to about 80%, his immune system is already working overtime...and HVC wanted to load his system with a vaccination for rabies. To me, that's not very sensible. When I refused the vaccine, they said it was a requirement for treatment. The website doesn't mention this, neither did the receptionist when I made the appointment. The techs had already trimmed the cat's nails & expressed his anal glands. The vet had already handled him head to toe. Why the heck didn't they mention this earlier if they're so concerned? The vet packed up the vaccine AND the antibiotic, then left. The invoice was prepared and payment was required at that time. So I've lost three hours (travel time + office time) and $106. The cat is no closer to a healthy outcome and I still need to find (and pay for) an office that is willing and able to perform tests.

Humboldt Veterinary wasn't my normal vet that sees my dogs. However when my senior Boston couldn't walk on her front leg and I called my normal vet, the receptionist said they didn't have any openings for a week and did I try to give her asprin. I was very upset and decided that I would have her seen by another vet. The staff at Humboldt Veterinary Clinic was absolutely amazing. When I called they were understanding about needing to get my girl seen and scheduled us for that day. They took care of getting her records from the normal vet for me and had us all set us before we got there. Once we were there, all the techs gave my girl so much love and snuggles. Dr. Tracy gave her a thorough exam and explained what she was seeing and what she was doing as she went along. I am taking all of my dogs there moving forward. I cannot recommend them enough.

I don’t not recommend humboldt vet for exotic animals what so ever!! About March 15th of this year, I took in my 3 year old male bearded dragon Rex. They told me he was completely healthy! He had no parasites and one of the chilliest dragons they had! Recently Rex started having some problems. Almost seemed like he was choking on something. His beard kept turning black and he kept holding his mouth open. Then he kept trying to force something up. The next day he seemed fine but I called the vet anyway- they said if he starts doing it again, take him in. About a week later I walk past his tank and check on him. He was pale and struggling we took him out and he starting going limp almost like passing out. We got him in the vet the next day. I arrived and they took Rex back and did an x-ray on him. Suddenly i was the worst beardy mom ever! The doctor told me I was just doing everything wrong. His tank was too small. His lights were wrong. Everything i was doing was wrong! She told me to change up his diet, his tank, and a couple other things. Which i did. Changed up his diet, added some stuff to his tank. (also there was some stuff on the side of rex’s mouth, i asked her about it and she said “oh that is feces” - implying that his tank is filthy and i let him roll around in his own poop!) I kept watching him but it didn’t seem like he was doing any better. he wasn’t eating, just laying in one spot. Kept opening his mouth again. Waiting for him to come around after doing what the vet told me to do, I was anxious there was something else going on. Today I checked on rex and he was completely pale laying there. Sadly Rex did pass. But we noticed there was something within his mouth, it looked like blood coming from it. I think there was something else going on with Rex that could have been handled but wasn’t. My little man has passed away too soon and i’m positive there could have been more done!!

This clinic is amazing! They are professional, caring and loving. They treat my dog with such concern and care that I feel cared for too. This clinic is clean and spacious. It’s like a clinic that a human might go to except it’s for animals. There were three people helping with my dog. After the visit it’s so convenient that you can pay right in the exam room. That helps bc you don’t have to tend to your animal in the lobby while trying to pay! They helped me over the phone with an emergency before we were patients, their help over the phone and their concern for my dog is why I changed vets!I recommend them without reservation.

Been using this place for many years without a problem. Friendly staff, clean environment and appointments made quickly. We went in to have our cat laid down and while we were spending our last minutes with him in the mourning room waiting for the doctor, the doctors assistant came in and asked if we were going to pay for the service BEFORE he was put down. Totally inappropriate! Especially since we have been loyal customers for years and years! Put a very bad taste in our mouths! We were in horrible shape when she did this.

READ!! if you are anything like me, your animals are like your babies. my dog had broken his toenail and so I took him in to the first place that would let me in to get it fixed since i recently moved here and did not have a vet yet. When i went to pick my dog up, he was not okay. he couldn’t get his head up and was stumbling around. i kept calling and asking what was going on with my baby. they first said it was because he was in a kennel? and then later told me they gave him gas. I drove 8 hours to my vet back home who i know and trust and she was shocked they gave him anesthesia for a toenail given he was 8 years old and had a history of seizures. due to them giving him gas and having preexisting health issues with seizures, it triggered a whole line of issues causing his kidneys and liver to shut down and he passed. my vet told me if they would have not given him the gas for A TOENAIL, none of that would have happened. he was a perfectly happy and healthy dog outside of the seizures. I looked up the contraindications for the gas they gave him and it stated not to use of dogs with seizures and I had no idea they would be doing any of that because it was just a toenail.

They are such a great staff, they treat my animals like family and take great care of them! I’ve never had vet call me the next day to ask how a pet was doing until I came here! I absolutely love how respectful and nice they are to me when I call!

Thanks so much for seeing albert during your lunch break. I really appreciate it. I love the way that they respect the human and the pets. I have standard poodles and they do a fantastic job with them. They are always there to help either by phone or in person. I'm so grateful for them and so glad I found the best vet's I've ever met.

It was my husband and my first visit with our Noli. Dr. Aubrey and her assistant Kelsey were very warm and helpful getting Noli to settle for her first visit. Noli usually gets anxious in a Veterinarian's office. This time she sat just as calm as pictured here. We're were to schedule Noli's first teeth cleaning. Dr. Aubrey were able to schedule Noli's cleaning without conflicting with my husband's new work schedule. All reservations were abated because of Noli's reception and thr Staff at Humboldt Veterinarian Clinic was a stress free environment. We were taken back to see there Kennels it was pristine. We are so Thankful to our son Ariel and an aquaintence Kimberly Colwell who also referred us to Humboldt Veterinarian Clinic. I hope I spelled her name right. Feel So Blessed!

I am thankful for the fact they do the barn cat spay neuter program. But after care of this program fell short. I ended up having a cat with a hernia. We brought her in on a Saturday. I was charged a lot of money (which I paid) for the wrong diagnosis. Even after mentioning what I thought it was. I waited until Monday and took her to my local vet who confirmed it was a hernia. He recommended me to call Humboldt Clinic and have them fix it. Which I did. They said they would call me back. I than called them the next day where I was informed that my vet was rude, unprofessional, and sexist. (Not me my vet) I had nothing to do with what he said or did. They seemed more focused on my vet than my cat. They did agree to see her again and fix the problem but I was to pay for the anesthesia. They ended up fixing the hernia. Which they later confirmed it was. I didn’t get a sorry this happened or we will do better next time nothing....Just made me sad for my cat more than anything. My cat suffered and that is the unfair part. Time will tell if it’s fixed. I hope this just helps someone else. If anything I hope they can see this how I see it.
