The service was pretty good, but my biggest problem was they cooked the pizza in paper and it was stuck to it. The only reason food isn't at 1 star is because the wings were alright but kinda overcooked. They waitress was nice and sincere abt the paper. We've been here before and it was better I think they fell off.Parking: We had to park across the highway

French fries are hot, crinkle cut, inexpensive, and flavorful. Very few people at bar and as I was looking at the drinks I was ignored. I ordered a water to begin with, but changed my mind. I didn't get a drink because I was not asked again. Good dive bar atmosphere, but scarce of people when I was there early in evening on a Sunday.

Typical small town bar and grill. Good food, friendly staff. Our waitress was going none stop the whole time we where there but kept our glasses full. Pizza was above average. I wasn't a fan of the crust but both the flavor of the Crab ragoon and the BBQ brisket with cream cheese (yes pizza) was really good. Wife had the Ruben and said it was good as well. Although I wouldn't drive 2 hours to eat here, if you're close I'ld definitely recommend it.

First time visiting from Des Moines, this dive-bar type restaurant came highly recommended by my date who's from the area. She hyped up the BBQ Beef Brisket pizza. We shared a Large and split it half BBQ Beef Brisket & half Buffalo Chicken.The BBQ Beef Brisket half, the cheese was burnt and made the crust too crunchy & burnt. The cream cheese in my opinion should be mixed within the pizza sauce and not used as globs of cream cheese. I didn't like biting straight into a cream cheese blob. The BBQ Beef Brisket was dry and required additional BBQ sauce.The Buffalo Chicken half tasted dry & burnt too. The Buffalo Chicken wasn't that hot and I've had better. Atmosphere seemed pleasant for an older crowd and service was good. Service was good although we were forgotten about at times as patrons closest to the bar were serviced often.I also ordered an appetizer of Beef Nachos and sadly I can make better Beef Nachos at home. I expected canned nacho cheese bc its profit margins are minimal, but I received way more chips than beef & nacho cheese. For $8 on nachos, that's a rip-off ! Too many chips, hardly any beef, and obvious canned nacho cheese, c'mon. Let's not make it TOO obvious its canned nacho cheese. I'm willing to try Backdraft again in the future as there's not many restaurants in the Correctionville-Holstein-Cherokee area and I love trying local places than travel to Sioux City for national brands. I hope my next visit the pizza will be much better!

A few times a year I go to backdraft just to get their BBQ brisket and cream cheese pizza. That is how I have always ordered it. My drive is over an hour one way. When I picked my pizza tonight started back home and decided I wanted a piece. I took a couple of bites and something wasnt right. Who ever made the pizza put BBQ sauce over it instead of the glaze. What a disappointment. I ended up giving it to my neighbors. So much for craving for pizza😢

Best small town food I've had. Probably not much competition so they didn't have to make pizza and sandwiches this good, but they did anyway. Service is fast and friendly, and the prices are wildly low compared to city rates. Absolutely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Small town bar / restaurant atmosphere where you feel welcomed. Pizza is fantastic, been here a few times and always say going to try something else but the pizza is great. Want to try the wings sometime. Thursdays is buy 10 wings and get 10 free. Had people tell me they are very good and meaty. Lots of sauces to try. Need to go more often, worth the drive.

Well when you first show up you wonder what you’re walking into 😂 and as bright as it was outside this day when I stepped in all I saw was black because there’s no windows in this place! But it’s clean once the eyes adjusted just an old bar with a back room for families. Plenty of options but plenty of not available right now too. The pizza is what most get and looked really good but I was hungry for a burger. Got a mushroom/Swiss and everything was fresh- and the mushrooms weren’t from a can- good stuff!! And the onions will make your wife refuse to kiss you 😂. Was it the best yet? Sorry didn’t win- meat was fresh and cooked good but needs more flavor- so my quest to find the best mushroom/Swiss continues

Definitely a have to! Absolutely delicious! Hot, fast, fresh and the service was greeeeat! I had the Cuban....the smoked pork was fantastic! Love that they serve you in a cookie sheet!

Thankfully we had reservations as it was busy. First problem though, we went to order a couple of the listed dinners of brisket sandwich and smoked chicken to find out that they no longer carry either. Okay, if you don't have it anymore, cross it off. I ordered the prime rib sandwich medium rare. Not the best. Barely warm meat and cold au jus. Cold French fries accompanied it. Someone really needs to be temping the food before sending it out. Neither would have passed health code minimums. Chicken wings were okay.

Menu online hasn't been updated since 2017. I figured my bill according to their listed prices listed ordered several things one wasn't even made. I got told well we only billed you for one. Any restaurant worth a grain of salt would of comped a meal given the fact it was their fault. The girl answering the phone even repeated it back. The owner wouldn't even issue a full refund and got into a screaming match with me and asked me if I wanted his job. Great food other than the hair in my daughters Ruben. Maybe the owner should wear a beard net.

Wings on Thursday! Such a good deal and they're delicious! During the beginning of Rona 2020 I had my first pizza from them and it was good but cannot wait until I can try one dine in! Waitress was young but awesome which is RARE now a days!

Amazing pizza, definitely add cream cheese to whatever kind you order! Staff is wonderful & friendly even with "out of towners" like us! Ate there several times during our week in town, everything we had from the menu was great! Didn't get a chance to try the wings unfortunately but heard great things! Of we are evet back in town we will be sure to stop back!
