Very friendly store. I was in today for a few things and didn't think about picking up a basket when i walked in. While walking to the front of the store to pick one up a checker asked me if she could help me with anything and I told her I needed a basket and she stopped stocking/straightening her area and got me a basket so I could continue shopping.I appreciated this so much. Good sales this week didn't hurt either:)

Very consistent with any other time you went there.I believe this is the oldest of the Cedar Rapids Fareways. It is my favorite. The customers are also top notch.

Not easy to find everything there. And they were out of some of the things that they had on sale. I mean not even one day of the sale and they're already out of sirloin tip roast . Unfortunately we kind of made a wasted trip because we didn't get everything we wanted. Would have been nice if they would have had extra stock. Unfortunately the Hiawatha Fairway is not going to be our usual stop anymore.

Went there to talk to a buddy of mine that works behind the meat counter only to find out he was basically threatened to be fired because of a minor altercation at the counter. A minor altercation. He’s a good worker, so I don’t understand what happened.

Good store. Employee always friendly and helpful. Quality meats in butchers cases . Only draw back very small so not a wide variety but at the same time daily fast to get in and out of as not a massive chain store. Would recommend .I go there a lot

Fareway used to be the best place to grocery shop. I've been to this location a handful of times but this last visit will definitely be my last time in the Hiawatha Fareway. I will drive to another location. The service I received at the meat counter was horrible, rude and there is no excuse for the way I was treated. The young man (with no name tag) who started to help me with my order asked if there was anything else I needed, when I asked for a pound of sausage, he then told me, "I'm going to help her first". He was going to help the only other woman waiting at the meat counter BEFORE he finished my order. I just stood there dumbfounded. I just walked away, without my sausage. It was the rudest I have ever been treated. There is an older gentleman named John who also works at meat counter at this Fareway and he has wonderful customer service, I recommend finding him to fill your meat order. To top it all off I was left to load all my own groceries into my trunk while the employee who pushed the cart stood and watched me. It was a very unsatisfactory visit. I will not be returning to this location. I usually shop at the Vinton Fareway which is wonderful, their customer service is always perfect, from the meat counter to check-out to loading groceries always a great shopping experience. I Will never shop at Hiawatha Fareway ever again OR recommend this store to ANYONE.

Staff was very friendly and even though I was last minute before the store closed, I didn't feel rushed by the staff. Our carryout service(which I personally love this being offered) was the top notch! Weston even had automotive advice and helpful tips for us! I hope he reaches his dream of being an Auotmechanic! Thanks Fareway staff for making my experience GREAT 👍

Employees are always friendly. They unload your cart and take your groceries to the car for you. Good selection of products. Meat department is well staffed with a good variety of quality meats. This is our go to place for groceries

Great Loved it. Drove up to door. Wife got out went in and returned quickly with the groceries. I didn't even have time to change radio stations. Life is very good for a Christian. Little patches of blue sky among the foreboding clouds. Who are you seeing light or darkness. Choose wisely, Eternity will last a long time and I will love the joy there, hope to see you there. My favorite ice cream at Fareway is Cherry Nut. Wonder if it will be served at HIS table. ~~ Ronnie

Place has gotten worse post pandemic. Prices are ridiculous, some items are more expensive than Hy-Vee. Almost every item is 50 cents to a dollar more than target, for the exact same items. Meat department is good, but that is only good I can say. Pick up is hit and miss as items are sometime picked good, but others you end up with rotten shaved ham.

Absolutely love the quality of produce here compared to Hyvee. Great meat options and they carry everything I need. The prices can’t be beat either; this store reminds me of the Stater Bros. stores in SoCal.

I love fareway. I can go down every aisle and be out of there in 30 minutes. Fareway takes it out of the cart, bags it, and puts it in my car for me. I appreciate the service.

I took two tanks in for the grill, and had a rain check for 1 tank replacement for $12.99 and she gave me the deal on both of them. The meat counter always has my favorite cuts of meat.
