Went to the hiawatha dairy queen. We were handed our order at the cash window. There was a car sitting at the pick up window for a great deal of time. Nearly 20 minutes. We arrived at 7pm and it's 720 right now. Not sure why the driver was not directed to pull ahead while cars behind them were being handed orders at the cash window. We are left sitting with icream orders melting. Not acceptable. Terrible service. Will never return.

Stopped at Dairy Queen at 9 o’clock on the dot. All open signs were open. Everything was lit up. Wasn’t aware that they closed at nine. Sat there till 905 to 906 and they shut the lights off on me. They didn’t say a word over the intercom. As I passed by every single employee which was about 6 to 7 people were standing at the window, waving like a bunch of children. I called and asked to talk to a manager in which a young female claimed she was a manager so I asked for her name and she hung up on me. I will never return to Dairy Queen again. You guys need to clean out your ridiculous staff. All the kids in here were childish and very rude. If this is how you run your store, you need to clean it out or nobody is going to come back. The reviews of this place are pretty bad now that I made a review and read back on others reviews. All people working were of color and clearly racist, which is sad.. the way they acted when they seen me, passing by the window to leave. Never have been treated so horrible from this Dairy Queen till they let a bunch of little rats work alone without supervision

Staff seems to have some prejudice towards people of color. We asked if they had fries left as they hadn’t had any around the same time during our last visit and was told that the staff could barely understand us even though we were speaking clear English. The employees were rude and we audibly heard them bad mouthing us in the drive thru, and when we called them out on it, they showed no regret and no apology was issued. Our ice cream came half melted and the food wasn’t bagged properly. Not worth the hassle. Totally understand how hard they work but no excuses for discrimination or racism in 2024.

My husband and I and our son went to grab ice cream from this dairy Queen today around 3. We waited in the drive thru lane for about 10 minutes without even moving so we decided to go in. We got in to the store and there was a single guy at the counter and a family behind him and then us. The guy ended up leaving without anything and then the family moved up. We stood there several minutes and no one greeted any of us and there was even a woman making ice cream right there in front of the counter and never turned around to say anything to any of us. We waited 5-10 minutes and ended up leaving to go somewhere Else down the road. So disappointing. Service has gone way down hill here.

WHAT. A. JOKE. This is a COOKED FLY sitting on the VERY TOP of my basket. Lobby was closed, called the store, got an answering machine, called again, and the line was “busy”. Had to go back through the drive thru, ask for a manager, and was then treated TERRIBLY by the manager. We weren’t given a receipt, so the manager tried to get us to drive away, until we told the manager the order was less than 5 minutes ago, and that he could’ve looked it up on the computer. I cannot, can NOT believe how awful this service was. DO. NOT. VISIT. THIS. LOCATION. EVER. Corporate complaint filed as well. A cooked bug folks. Pathetic

Where is the ZERO OPTION RATING Negative infinityhow are they still in business. Health code violations.Employees use their ungloved hands and shake paper cups around to create a blizzard. I asked the male at the window if the machine was broken🤔. He confirmed we do this sometimes.The icecream machine was covered w a plastic tarp which was coded in old ice cream.The order consisted of 4 items one was a strawberry sundae when we got home we saw the strawberry sundae was made w chocolate ice cream.We called the store the unprofessional male answered and begin to tell me what the receipt said. I told him I have the receipt and didnt order chocolate icecream. I told him I was not driving back in the dark, in snow so I asked how Dairy Queen was going to make this right. He answered he didn’t know if I was not going to drive back. I asked for the GM who he referenced was there but then told me was busy doing paperwork. He THEN asked for my info. I asked for his name he refused. I ended the call and the man on the phone continued his rude behavior.This establishment is violating health codes w out a question.

Thought was lucky only 1 car at drive thru. Haven't been there in years & wont be back. Got 4 piece chicken strip meal. $1 more than posted on menu. Whatever. Fries were very undercooked..toast was just bread basted in salty butter...no gravy. Strips ok but had to throw rest of meal out.

The dairy queen was clean and the staff was very friendly! The bathrooms were clean as well. I would have rated them higher but when I left with my milkshake the plastic cup split in my car and got shake all over...cheap plastic...no fault of the individual restaurant other than cutting corners on cheap cups

Don’t even bother going if you plan to use your card. Their pos and card machines have never worked for mine and the numbers have always needed to be punched in and even more so it straight up won’t even recognize my card now. I had to miss lunch because their technology is so outdated and does not work, so it’s safe to say I can never risk going back here again.

This Dairy Queen is trash, I ordered a cake online because the website said they were able to take cake orders and I ordered it a week ahead of my pickup date. I walk in at that date and time and a random guy from the back tells me they don't have it because they have not been taking cake orders at all. I got an email conformation for my ordered ans received no notification that I would not be able to order a cake and the plans I had were ruined. this dairy queen needs to work on its management badly.

Absolutely horrible. after walking to the door and it being locked 15 minutes early i gave them the benefit of the doubt and went to the drive through. i was waiting for over 5 minutes in the drive through with no service so i beeped my horn quickly to see if anyone was going to take my order. they came on the mic saying "do not honk the horn in my ear". appalled, i proceeded to order a blizzard. when i said what i wanted they responded in a really rude and condescending tone with" if you could read you would know we don't have the ingredients for that" referring to what i assume was written on the piece of paper that is folded over and non readable on the microphone. at this point i was fed up and i said "you are being very rude right now and i'm not going to order" as a drove away i heard him say "good" and when i passed the window they pointed at me and were clearly saying so thing that i could not understand. i can understand that is the end of the night and people want to go home, but this is no way to treat a customer. i will never be going here again and i will make sure any one i know does the same. shame on you, do better

I came to order ice cream for my kids. 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream in a cup. The lady that tried to help me was sweet, but quickly got yelled at for “using the managers drawer” and had to void out my sale and move to another drawer where she was told, not quietly at all, that she better hurry up because another worker had an order to go in. Felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Drive down the street in either direction for a store with better service.

I was the first customer for the day. Ordered a hamburger and fries. I paid and drove up to the window and was shocked they had my order ready when I got to the window. The employee had a funny grin on his face which caused me to check the food. The fries appeared to be left over from the previous day, shriveled and only half filling the container. Not hot and fresh like I usually got. I didn't trust the burger after seeing the fries. I will never order there again.

As a former employee I am sad to say this place is no longer worth anyone's patronage. They discriminate against paying customers. The employees don't wash their hands or follow safe serv guidelines. The weekend evening manager is rude disrespectful and appears to be under the influence of something. Altogether an awful experience and location. I've never had such an unenjoyable experience.

Both blizzards were half full, I paid full price. I normally wouldn't leave a bad review but this is the second time recently and the lady handing them out was not very pleasant! Wont be going back for sure and suggest you go to another dq so u get what you pay for!

The food is fine. The fact I find an additional credit card charge to my account is the reason for the low review. 3/27/23, I bought a burger and cheese curds in drive through. $14.53. I'm holding the receipt as I write this.A week later (now) I'm reviewing my bank account and there are two charges from dairy queen on that day. My amount, and another one for $20 and change.I can speculate their "mistake." I'm guessing an employee paid for their meal by charging my card.I reported the fraud to my bank.

I usually give fast food places slack, but this was the worst Dairy Queen I ever went to. Person taking my order was rude. Then once we got to the pickup order, they only gave us half our order. Then said "Did we get something". I repeated to the girl 5 times of what we were missing. Then she gave us one of the items, and we were still missing food. Then she gave us the rest. But when we got home, we missed a fry. When we told the employees everyone was arguing eith one another in a way of themselves being right. Mine as well close the place down because they "Don't know what they're doing".

30 minutes to get through the drive-thru with only a couple people in front of me. Had to ask for all of my food 3 times as they kept handing part of the order out and then asking in a confused manner "Is there something else you need?" Yep, just all of the food I ordered and paid for. Thanks! Honestly not sure why we keep giving this location another chance. It seems to be securely in "dumpster fire" status. Try at your own risk and good luck to you!
