Avid shopper of the original Bowers, first time in this location. Glad it's a bit bigger! They had a good variety of items. I never leave empty handed, maybe partly because I'd fell my 30min drive (from Waterloo) would have been a waste if I didnt, but I always manage to find something! Have also, came across some AWESOME deals! The employees are always kind&offer to lend a hand carrying out. Only improvement I could think of would be to streamline prices between both stores. I came here today after a visit to the Inde location and noticed they had the same exact item, but marked at $6 when I just paid $3.75.

I went to this store in Hazelton Ia. for the first and last time. Don't take your kids. Signs are posted everywhere in the store say don't let your children touch anything and the employees are not shy to tell you or your kids not to touch or you have to buy it. Didn't know resale stores of previously opened items was so unfriendly till I saw this place.In response to owner comments. Please calm down and take a breath. You openly admit your signs are up for children not to touch anything. Your employees are not shy about telling your children not to touch items. And no where in my comment did I say children was openening, jumping on or climbing on items. I clearly said your items are previously opened and employees are unfriendly. Sounds like you are very upset with your life. It took over a year for you to respond and all you have to say is comments to deflect and insult. I hope you have a better and blessed day.

WAY OVER PRICED!!!! THE AMISH HAVE THE SAME STYLE STORE AND SELL FOR HALF THE PRICE AS BOWERS! GO TO THE AMISH!! Also, they don't test their items. Bought two kid power wheel cars and both didn't work once I drove an hour home. All they do is take in junk and broken stuff from regular retail stores. Junk that had been returned and that those stores wouldn't dare sell. Items that were damaged returns with defects and are broken. LIKE I SAID BEFORE AT THE BEGINNING, GO TO THE AMISH BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME STYLE STORES BUT SELL THEIR ITEMS FOR HALF THE PRICE AS WHAT BOWERS SELL THEIR JUNK FOR! You can also go online and buy the exact same stuff they sell, for the same price or less, and the items will work and not be broken and have factory warranties still! LOWER YOUR PRICES AND TEST YOU STUFF PROPERLY, OR DON'T SELL IT FOR ALMOST NEW PRICES!!!!

Very unique little store. You never know what they will have. I have seen every thing from car seats to furniture and lots of toys items are usually priced with a pretty generous discount.

The staff is friendly and the store is decently clean. You really need to watch the prices at Bowers. They used to be priced better than any other place around. But lately allot of prices are the same or higher then places like dollar general or family dollar. I know they are trying to make money but don't claim to be a discount store when your not on most items. There are random good deals but you have to be there as soon as they are put on the shelf. People tend to go nuts trying to save 5 bucks on an air mattress lol. Good store but you just have to have patients for the random deals.

Bowers is the place to shop if you want quality items for less! They buy discounted items from retail stores, and sell them for cheaper! You can just about find anything there, and they post daily on their Facebook on what new products they have in stock!

Great deals and great prices for a bargain store. Could use a public restroom though, and to plow the entrances into the parking lot. Our vehicle had trouble getting out.

Way over priced on most items but found a few pairs of pants and shirts for .99 cents. No public restrooms and not a large selection make this a trip not worth repeating.

They have toliet paper - the industrial sized rolls ! $3 for " small " and $5 for " " large ". I bought the " small ". The limit is 2 per person.
