Why are there not more people here over lunch?! We ordered the special, catfish and fries; it was easily the best I've ever had. I only like fish when it is fresh. Not a crum was left; it was all gone before I could take a photo. The dessert was Bourbon Pecan Pie, amazing!

Nothing fancy. A small family owned cafe in back of their small grocery store. Friendly service and the food was good. I had the special of the day a bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce and an onion ring with a side of fries. Standard pub style menu. Note: I ate 1/3 of the burger before I took the picture

Cute place with AMAZING food. Homemade french fries were incredible. Fun store attached with great gift items. It’s worth the visit! We had a Reuben and grilled cheese with bacon and tomato on Texas toast! We also had a piece of key lime pie. We will be going back when we come back to town. Yum!!!!

Hands down the BEST tenderloin sandwich in Iowa. Homemade bun, handcut tenderloin, fried to pure perfection. I had Iowa's 2019 Best Tenderloin Sandwich and it simply does not compare to Sodes.
