Really great employees, other than the people who work the deli counter. They seem to have forgot what manners are and appear to never be happy? One big complaint about this store though, if you’re vegan or vegetarian, Benders leaves a lot to be desired….

Great service good people and great deals and the only supermarket in the area.Also if you're swinging by make sure you try out the deli it's really good food there as well as really good chicken The fray a batch every.Come around on Tuesdays for fried tenderloins sandwiches come quick because they are sold out around 1:00 p.m..Come around on Fridays for fish and shrimp they're really good and pretty good price.

Quick stop for some nice groceries. The prices weren't all that bad if you consider the distance to the next nearest grocery store. I liked the local feel and the fresh food. Overall a well managed grocery store!

I picked up this beef liver and when I got home I realized the meat was almost 2 months expired. This is not the first expired product I’ve gotten. Come to the realization that I have to drive 30 mins to a different store because I can’t trust this one.

Nice, clean little store for local groceries. Had everything on my list and staff offered polite help! Groceries get carried out, you do not have to bag them yourself either!! Nice variety for the size of the store and very well kept.

Good bakery buns. Rotisserie chicken overpriced! Very small bird for $8.99! But it tasted good.

Visited recently, I have a relative in town and went shopping with them. I thought the prices were high but after reading some other reviews and the responses I guess that is just the market in the area, it's a expensive place to live. Staff seemed friendly, greeted my mother by name. For me the store was like taking a step back in time but I am used to the big stores in the city where everything is shiny and new and many customers use self check outs and the staff don't know your name or even take the time to speak to you. Like other posters said, the town is lucky to have a grocery store.

No place for a person in a wheelchair to checkout without having to go around to the end and wait for a lane to be free. Might be different rating here if there was a way to get a spot in the line. On a busy day I've had to wait 15-20 minutes to buy just a few things. I've been requesting this in store for 4-5 years and get the same response. They don't see it changing anytime soon. Seems like people with disabilities don't really matter. Only grocery store in town so I'll still shop there. They know I don't have any other choice so no fix is needed.

We really like everything there especially the fresh fruits and the deli. Great prices for a smaller town. Some prices will surprise you and the quality is real good too.

The store has a decent selection of food. I prefer their bakery and their deli selections. They do have alot of others food but tend to be on the pricey side of the spectrum. Most of the workers will greet you but there are staff that will snarl or ignore you when asking questions. They do have some occasional sales that are good. Parking lot is okay, tends to have potholes. Easy to spot off the main road and has convenient hours especially in winter. If I had a choice of going here or payless in dyersville I would choose dyersville.

I will go here the majority of the time from now and pay a little higher just for the service. With all the crazies out there stealing children it's absolutely time full service places come back to reassure the safety of children by freeing up their mother's arms. Plus those employees were just wonderful with my infant. Smiling, cooing, and making fussy moments not do fussy. Thank you deli and checkout girls!! Raise raise raise!!!

Convenient, nice clean and great selection of foods . Only thing I’m not sure reading few of comments , very and I mean very overpriced everything in the store it’s a shame and I’m not sure if it’s legal to charge that much . So I’m not sure why some people saying good price .

I'm from CR, IA. Its not a big city by any means but there a lot of options here as far as groceries go. I find that the smaller towns only have one or two options to choose from, which lessens competition and therefore the prices can be a little high. I visit Guttenberg several times a year and usually forget something and have to go to Lender's. The store is clean, neat, and easily navigated. Staff is friendly. I don't mind paying a little more for my items, but let's face it the next closest grocery store could be 10 to 15 miles away. It's a great asset to the citizens of Guttenberg, a lot of small towns don't even have a convenient store.

Nice local grocery store. I gave it a 3 b/c the arrangement of items is not shopper friendly. I.e. the liquor should not be behind the bakery. Un,ess they need to watch for shoplifters.
