The best ice cream and food in town. Extremely popular, so there's a wait sometimes, but the frozen yogurt and cheese curds are worth the wait. Limited seating. But it's ok, because it's that delicious.

Excellent custard-style ice cream with generous serving sizes. The hamburgers are cooked to order and smell wonderful even as they are being cooked. They taste great, though heavy on the mustard, and are large. They have so many interesting sundaes and cyclones. We keep coming back to try something new.

Ice cream and food is absolutely awesome. Just make sure your sitting down when they tell you the total bill. I got a mudslide, pulled pork and Mac n cheese bites $25 and change. Ya it's not an every day eat but a once a month or once a year treat for me. All outside.

Shoe string curly fries! Yes Please! I had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Busy location so I called ahead and it was easy pickup! Great place!!!

Someone accidentally took our food, and they let us know that it would take 20 more minutes to make our food again. Maybe make sure that the people getting the food are the right people by repeating the order? Then once we got our food it was mac and cheese bites instead of Gouda cheese bites. No ranch. Offered a gift card and refund of the food. To bad we don't live closer to use it.

Oh what a joyous occasion. The taco salad was amazing, they did forget to pack my ranch dressing, and put tomatoes on the wrap with no tomatoes, but overall the food was very good. The ice cream was wonderful. Would most certainly be back. We had a great time. It was nice to bring my girlfriend from Wisconsin and her sister to show them where I used to go when I was a kid.

My blizzard style pick was pretty good. Lots of goodies in it. My wife's wasn't thick at all. A shake would have been much thicker. Disappointed. For the price everything cost I would have expected better.

Family friendly ice cream/soft serve/fro-yo, burgers and fries kinda place. Perfect for a hot day like today was. No indoor seating tho. Adequate outside tables with shade and benches.

Hours of operation for Sunday are incorrect per google. They close at 8 pm on Sundays. My wife and kids were walking up to the window at 8 and they just closed the blinds and shut the lights off. Didn’t even have the common courtesy to say sorry we are closed. Will not be doing business here again.

One of my go-to places in Grinnnell. The food and ice cream are great, but it is a little expensive and there seems to always be a long wait. You can order ahead, but even that gets backed up during busy times. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area and are willing to wait.

Honestly, this place seems to be nothing special from the looks on the outside. It looks just like the Tasty Freeze we have in town.The employees were nice and our ordering was simple enough. What really set this place apart was the quality of their ice cream. Loads of good sized chocolate chunks in the cyclone I ordered. Think...blizzard from Dairy Queen.We didn't try their other foods, just the frozen treats. They had a constant line and everyone seemed happy with their experience. Plenty of seating around between benches and picnic tables. It's all outdoor seating. Great place for a quick, sweet treat.

The best soft serve and unique flavors! It was our first time in Grinnell and everyone recommended this place. Our family of 5 all got different treats and they were so yummy! Thinking we have to make a trip back soon just for more ice cream!!

Ordered choc malt with extra malt powder. Ended up with a vanilla shake. Took back to windowand showed the girl and she told me it was light on chocolate and would not fiz.

Freakin bomb as always. Lamb Burger is no longer very good, super dry on multiple visits, went with Pizza Burger on this visit and tried a new menu item as a Cyclone (can't recall the name, but lots of peanut butter) - so good and worth the wait.

Had the Reeses Peanutbutter cup Cyclone. It was really good and had plenty of candy in it, right down to the last bite.

Nice people. Good ice cream. I recommend the Elvis Cyclone, Banana Split, or piña colada slushy. Everything we ordered was excellent.

Wife and I love going to Dari Barn! The ice cream is great and sandwiches are good too. I'd suggest getting the cheese curds to go with!The only negative is that they are so popular that sometimes the wait is rather lengthy. Enjoy!

Good wayeee overpriced! Way overcooked. Will never by anything but ice cream. At least they can't mess that up! Charged 10.99 for a horrible fish sandwich and ucky string fries put in a drink cup. Friend accidentally poured her ice tea over them, not knowing they were in there. No more food at this place. Say it's because of new owners changed everything, but who knows! Doubt returning!

Usually I don't say much. I understand that is hard to find good help sometimes. I understand being short handed at times. Today one young lady working, thats the only one I saw in the front. I was second in line for a good 6 to 8 minutes while she helped the gentleman in front of me. As I was waiting two young girls got in line behind me and we're waiting. In the meantime a woman and child come up standing in the middle trying to decide what they want and then proceed to the other window. The young lady working finished with the gentleman in front of me slammed the window shut and proceeded to help the woman at the other window. Not only was annoyed with the employee but also the woman at the other window. The employee didn't even ask if I was next, tho she would have to be blind not to have seen me and the woman at the other window to not have said that myself and the girls had been waiting and she had just walked up. So that being said I left!
