This is the first time of writing a negative review for any business. I had to write this one. It is all too common for me to ask for assistance from a Walmart employee and have to wait way too long to get help. Typically, when I am trying to buy a hunting license, no one is at the counter, so I push the button to alert the store that I need assistance. Many times I have to wait 10 minutes or more for help. On one occasion, I got tired of waiting and asked an employee if they could get someone to the counter for buying a license. I am not sure the women spoke English, but she did manage to tell me that she didn't work at that counter. So I asked her if she could call someone that did. She said no and walked off.Today, I waited at the locked, fragrance cabinet for over 20 minutes to get someone to unlock it. My wife talked to 3 employees to get help, none had a key but they all said they would find someone that did. The last employee called "Mia" to come and unlock it. 10 minutes later Mia showed up without a key. I finally left the area and found a manager and told her my experience. She didn't offer to go unlock the cabinet but said they would work on correcting the situation.It seems uncommon to encounter an employee that is professional and serves with a smile. Anytime I do I let them know how much I appreciate it.

They like to pick and choose who they harass for a recipe. lady in front of me merchandise in hand not in a bag doesn't get the recipe checked but you watch me have a cashier bag my items seen my cart empty and me load everything back in from the bag Carousel. This isn't the first time we've had this happen to us last week the door lady tried taking my toilet paper because she said it wasn't on the recipe. I had scand it last on purpose showed her the item on the recipe and she still didn't Believe me. I wouldn't care but this has been every time I have gone to this location.

Got more than i went fore.got what i needed, ya just can't spend enough. I need it all. It's pretty messed up all of the stores I've been to are in the middle of rearranging every thing so it's confusing but better things are getting there. 5/4/24-there aren't as many pallets in the isles blocking them like before, it's become easier to shop now.

I am so sick of the employees here, they all stand around and do nothing. No cashiers today so I went to self checkout and had an employee stand behind me the whole time to make sure I scanned everything. I am not a thief, nor ever have been one. Get off my butt or tell one of your 13 employees(I counted how many were standing by the doors and ends of the checkouts) standing around to hop on a register. Being treated this way makes me not want to come back and I will not. There’s 100s of other grocery stores and a lot have just as good of prices as Walmart now a days. Not worth coming here to be treated like a thief! This is why I like target and Whole Foods, I never get treated this way at either🤷‍♂️EDIT. It also appears most of the recent reviews are low and ALL that I read were do to lazy and disrespectful staff. Seems like a management issue, I’ve lived in the metro for 15 years and this used to be the nicest and most respected Walmart around. We would travel from ankeny to here if we needed to go to Walmart because this one WAS nicer, sad to see what management has allowed.

The checker was so very rude. I asked if he was open and he replied "I guess" sacked our cleaning supplies with our food. We said thank you after getting the receipt he said"yep" all he cared about was if his GF was cheating on him.

This Walmart has been here for some time now. You know with every Walmart there's good and bad mainly customers. They keep the aisles clean and well stocked. The store is clean. That's about it. It's a Walmart and it does it's job.

So after having trouble with 2 Walmarts. I had called the se 14th Walmart and there was confusion with when they’d be putting out their Halloween inventory/ what was out. I had spoken with 2 associates the night before. They said the inflatable I wanted was on the shelf and in stock then when I went there they said it might have been sold or hadn’t been put out yet. They said they couldn’t do holds. I talked to 6 different people in two days and gotten different answers. Then I tried ankeny, they had said there weren’t many people out on the floor to look at the inventory. I then tried grimes. The associate went right away to the location of the item and said she put it up at customer service for me. Thank you

Don't ever use any service that they contract out. I gave them the only copy of the vhs home videos of my deceased younger brother, and they proceeded to lose them, tell me they didn't offer the service, find them in a bag in the back a month later, then convert them into the wrong format, and expect me to pay full price for the service. The employees legitimately did everything they could, but they are bound by Walmart corporate, who are the real money grubbing scum here.

Went in this morning. I wanted a body fragrance which cost $6 and was in a locked cabinet. Asked an associate if she could help me. She said she would call someone. Waited 10 minutes. Asked another associate. Waited 5 more minutes. Called the store on my phone while waiting. Heard them announce to send someone. Waited and asked a northern associate. FINALLY after 20 minutes someone with keys shows up. Stated he was outside and had to come in to unlock the keys to this cabinet from some office. All for $6 fragrance. No apology at all. Acted like he was put by having to do this. Then at self check, the hand held scanner didn't work. 3 associates standing in a group by self check. I state "this isn't working." Response from associate "yeah." Doesn't offer to help at all just goes back to talking. Believe me, if I could rate you lower....I would. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

This was my first time at this Walmart. There were a few items I was seeking that were not in stock but the overall grocery selection was good. They had every flavor of Dots pretzel, which we love. Also, it had been a while since I'd been to a Walmart with a full liquor selection.

There was a full grown man in the women’s bathroom door wide open sitting on the toliet, i understand he was slow, but i truly do not feel bad as i had my FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER with me. She did not need to see that!!!!!

Dear Walmart, be human, not a machine. If I can order online on a rollback price and pick it up in store in 3 hours, then you can give me that price In Store with the item in my hand and save your staff the labor of picking and filling an order. Not matching online rollback pricing for an Item that is available same day in store while I am currently at the store with the item in my hand is insane. Or would you rather incur the cost of shipping it too? You just lost a customer over a $10 item and wasted my time and fuel.Figure out life, I'll go to Target, they price match in store!And I did go talk to customer service and they let me walk, told me to come back at my appointed pick up time. I Cancelled my order.

I would give 0 star if google would let me. I called to ask for Nutrimagen baby formula on 12.6 oz cans before I drive there. Since we always had issues with OH when checked online and got to the store. Store answered and I asked if somebody would check and make sure if they have it before I get there. The girl on the phone straight up said “no we are busy, we don’t have anybody to check” in a very rude manner. Walmart always bluff about great customer service. If you can’t even do this, how do you think about excellent customer service?

If walmart says they can tell if you go through self check and don't ring everything up. We'll I wish they could tell if you rang the same thing up twice. No... I had to go to customer service. 3 days after Christmas and they have 1 girl working at that counter that doesn't know her job. There were 14 people in front of me and I stood there for 25 min while she stared out at people walking by hoping some one would help her with the first customer that was still standing there with no help..I decided to leave. I will just eat that 9.97overruns. The next person that goes theough and doesn'tring up a 10.00 item, well thats on me. Enjoy.

No managers, no response!!!!I had a pickup at the Walmart through a delivery app and I waited for 40 min without having my items brought out. I tried calling the store and only got an answering machine I tried talking to the works in the store no one knew where my order was or where a manger was!!!! terrible service from a terrible store!!!!!!!!Also I never received the order and had to cancel the delivery

Store is a little confusing, they need to fix their carts, my mother in law got a cart, I ended up pushing because she cloudnt push it after 10 minutes! Fix your carts!

The store itself is a good store...kept clean and mostly orderly but seems like stock is always low of products...staff can be lacking in nongrocery part of the storeMy biggest problem is the can return...in Iowa cans and bottles have to be recycled to get your 5 cent deposit back...they used to have like 6 recycle machines...then they went to four machines? (Why would you take out machines when your store literally serves many thousands of people as u are the only walmart in the area?!)...here is my problem...THE RECYCLE MACHINES ALWAYS NEED MAINTENANCE OR ARE BROKEN...time and time and time again I have to get a non-existent staff member to service recycle machines...see pictures...three of the four machines down...and were NOT fixed by the time I finished my shopping almost an hour later...again, I am only writing this review because it happens repeatedly at this location. One day I even called a store manager and complained while standing at the can return...PLEASE TAKE ACTION AND FIX OR EMPTY THE MACHINES!

I waited at the craft counter for over 30 minutes just to get some material cut. I finally went up to the check out and they said they’d send someone right over. They are perhaps the fourth employee that told me that and I am still waiting. I would just leave, but I really do want the material!

Went to take my Walmart cans back today. They have four machines but only one is for cans. Bin was full. I went to ask associate to come empty bin twice. Waited 20 minutes before leaving. Walmart, Please consider keeping these maintained on a regular basis and maybe adding another can bin.

Clean store. Associates wearing masks and wiping baskets by the entrance this morning. Clean store. Helpful employees. Electronics checked inventory to see if they had a laptop I was considering, but they only had the demonstrator on hand. Nice of her to look it up though. Overall an above average store in my experience. Everyday low prices are higher on some items I'm used to buying in other states. Maybe it's just a general increase everywhere. Twizzler 16oz Strawberry flavor have been $1.88 for a long time but they're now $2.23.

Have most of what you could possible need at low prices. I usually do not shop in Walmart's. Is it normal to see this any security cameras?... OMG They made me feel uneasy as a shopper (No I am not a thief or shoplifter). What an IT network nightmare, there were at least 4 clusters observing the parking lot with 3 cameras each. Won't be returning. Back to Target I go... LOL
