One of the employees, maybe the owner helped me find the parts and tools I needed so fast that I was able to make it into the office even earlier than I do on a normal day.I really appreciated that I can buy single washers for 10 to 15 cents a piece rather than spending $5 or $6 on a bag at a big box hardware store and getting way more than I need that I'll probably never be able to find again if I would actually need them again.

Change your hours if you’re not open during construction!!! It’s not that hard. In the time that I was there because I thought they were open because it SAYS THEY ARE on their Google business listing two other people also showed up thinking they were open because the hours said so. Have some consideration for your customers. Give them the accurate information so you’re not wasting their time and leaving a bad taste in their mouth. Not to mention that not 1 of the 5 construction workers standing outside the place told me it was closed as they watched me walk all the way down the sidewalk to the door.

If I could I would give zero stars! Went in today to rent trailer that was in parking lot and the gal at the uhaul desk was to busy to take care of me even though we were only customers. So she sent me to the store rental while she figured out whatever, this guy stared at computer for 5 minutes till I asked him if he was having any luck and he was not. We decided to leave and this time I will not make the mistake again of going there again. This store is the worst in grimes by far!

When I need a E35 mini excavator, I rent from here exclusively. $50 2 way delivery?? Take my money!I rarely do, but i'm writing this because the manager who I spoke to and delivered the machine today was SUPERB. He gladly accommodated some big changes on my end. They actually cared about my business and I was treated accordingly- Local businesses for the win

They do a fine job in their rental department. Rentals delivered on time as per contract. Pick up and delivery were made by some very nice gentleman. Glad I could help the young man get the trailer tire fixed so he could get back to the store. Thank you Grimes True Value!

Rented a wall paper steamer from them this past weekend. When renting it employee told me I could have it from Saturday at 5 till Monday morning before 9 for one day charge. Ended up returning it this morning to be charged for another half day. Even after asking manager about it he refused and made me pay extra. Might want to train employees not to promise customers things that aren’t true.

I never write reviews, but after 3 trips (for my own fault) and the help I got from Jason on some plumbing issues late on a Monday, I couldn't not write one. This guy went out of his way to make sure I had all the fittings to replace the CPVC under my sink and told me exactly how to do it. I feel like he might have solved world hunger if I'd asked for it. And he's only one of the great folks that are there every time I go in for a piece of whatever project I'm working on. Thanks again!

Stopped to have a propane tank filled and not only was the cashier not wearing a mask, but was visibly annoyed when asked if she would mind backing up slightly since she wasn’t masked. I waited while the person filling my tank was having difficulty filling another tank while mine sat filled without letting me know if was ready. Waited 30 + minutes.

7/8/17 , approx. 9:00 after walking around for10 minutes looking for a not uncommon item, i finally found someone to ask, and was met with a smartass answer, did not have item, waited at cash register for another 10 minutes with abother item, gave up amd left. Terrible, thats the service i would expect from a large retailer, not a "hometown hardware"

This store rented me a broken compactor that leaked gas all over my truck. Upon returning it and complaining, the owner, Jason, all but accused me of lying about it and refused to refund my money. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. I've never been treated like that in my life.

I had two LP tanks refilled neither worked. Had to buy a new one from the gas station that worked fine and this place just told me too bad. Will loose my business.

Prices online that are displayed for rental items are not accurate for their Grimes location- was not told this until they asked for my credit card number on the phone. Not very friendly service either, would not use this place again.
