i’m always impressed with this pharmacy. they’re very pleasant and patient. they’re always honest about how long everything will take. getting prescriptions isn’t always the easiest errand, but i hardly feel inconvenienced when i go through this pharmacy.

The people are nice but they are overwhelmed and cannot fill prescriptions in a timely fashion. Needed pain medication for my daughter after surgery and they left it on hold for hours so that she missed her dose. Even worse I wait and then after nearly an hour find out that it is on back order.

Will never come here again, poor customer service and nothing is ever ready for pickup. They don’t fill prescriptions from a doctor office until you show up, then you have to wait even more for them to count pills. Medicap is so much better here in grimes.

Great big very nice store with everything you could want maybe if you can find it. No one knows where anything is, they just keep pointing you to go talk to someone else. Stood by the deli case waiting and waiting with 5 employees cleaning, no one would help so figured they must have just closed. Walked away and 5 min later walked by still looking for my item and they were cutting deli meat for a customer. Had to drive down the road to Walmart to get what I needed for the holiday party.

They don’t contact you, or the doctor if they don’t have the medicine. You walk in and then find out they don’t have your prescription filled. If they don’t have your prescription then have to contact your provider to get a new prescription written somewhere else.

Overall I like the Grimes HyVee Pharmacy. I transfered from the one on 51st in west DM which is an awesome pharmacy, but Grimes was closer for me. I do not Like the drive thru containers Its hard as he'll to get them in and out of those black holders. Whoever designed those was nuts. It does irk me sometimes when I get the txt it's ready and I go and have to wait another 15 - 20 minutes cuz it's not ready when I arrive to pick it up...

Tried this pharmacy twice in the last 5 months and both experiences were awful. Prescriptions never ready remotely close to quoted time and often requires me to reach out numerous times for it to get filled.If they're running behind, they need to say so and give longer times. Don't say 30 minutes and still not even start it 3 hours later. Or, in our case, until the following day. Constantly waiting for a text/notification that never arrives.I tried to be patient knowing many places are short staffed but the lack of communication is awful. Be honest and upfront if you're backlogged and need longer time. Don't just have people waiting hours with the expectation it'll be ready "in a few minutes".

Same old song and dance here. Call in day before give them over a day to fill prescription but it is never ready. I get that they are super busy but I’m with others who mention giving me a more accurate time then so I don’t have to wait. Might be time for a change.

The store itself is fantastic & always has what I’m looking for + more! This is probably the 5th time I’ve been here since they’ve opened. This time it was just me & my 2 year old. We were using one of those race car kid carts. the cart man followed me to my car and stood there the entire time holding onto my cart which was unnecessary in the 1st place, but it freaked my 2 year old out cause this strange guy is standing in his face. I told the man it’s gonna be awhile as I have a system of unloading my groceries and I still have to get my kid in the car. He responded with “but I wanna take your cart back” I said that’s fine but can you come back in a bit and grab it while I finish loading my groceries & he didn’t respond and literally stood there the entire time holding my cart while I loaded the groceries. I even had to ask him to move so I could get to my kid to unload him from the cart. I would suggest making sure he doesn’t do that very often. Very unsettling & rude especially when I asked him to come back.

Always reliable and great staff. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I trust this team. They accommodate immediate requests when needed, and I've never had to wait for anything close to an hour. My understanding is that the drive through is intended for drop offs and pickups - if I have other business I usually go inside. Thank you team!

Holy mismanagement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the people who work here are nice, but you’ve got a SEA of workers in the pharmacy. Switching to a different pharmacy. 15 minutes in line because one person is working a cash register, another 40 waiting for a prescription before I just left. Pharmacists go to college for like 8 years when they really need to work in food service for a year to figure out what a freaking ticket time is.

If I could give a negative rating I would. Only one checkout open. Only self checkout and they don't work. Don't read the scanners. I asked a man who approached me why Only one was one, he went through the checkouts looking, went behind customer service and went in back room. Never came out. I told the manager thus and she just shook her head and smiled and said I amnsorry to hear that. What ever happened to the old hyvee. The helpful smile in every isle?

Ever since this pharmacy moved, it’s been AWFUL. It was great before and we were so happy we found “our pharmacy”. But now it’s exceptionally Slow, workers are rude, they never have prescriptions ready when they say they will…. Just all around don’t know what they are doing since they moved. Guess we will be switching pharmacies AGAIN. Why is it so hard to find a decent pharmacy around here?

Prescriptions sit all day at the Pharmacy. Almost 9/10 times when I show up at 5:30pm, I get the excuse “we are still working on them. Can you go park and give us at least 15 minutes?”. They can’t be just honest and tell me they had absolutely no intention of filling them until I showed up. I waited all day for all of the confirmation texts that never come.I thought these excuses only worked on kids.

Went there to cash in pop cans and eat lunch. With one of the biggest stores in Iowa there is ONE can machine and it was full. The Chinese was old and bland for orange chicken. I usually enjoy Hy-Vee food like tonight i went to the one on Merle Hay purchased rotisserie chicken and it was good. Would not recommend the new store.

The wait time is always at least a hour. They make you keep driving around the building until they finally have it ready. They are very rude and act like you are bothering them by giving them your business. I gave them numerous chances and they are this way with my husband, daughter and I.

Really bad baker . They need a new one . The presentation looks like it will be yummy but when u taste it it’s so gross .. cakes , pastries, cupcakes etc., ..never getting anything like that from there ..I’ll drive to west Des Moines Hyvee to get that ..it taste really good there .
