This is one of the more organized and clean Fairways that I’ve been to, it is much less crowded than the Hy-Vee and the Walmart here in Grimes. I am impressed with the friendly attitude of all of the employees here. I will be shopping here more often.

Used to worked for Fareway in meat Dept, back in my late 20's.. they have always had fantastic meat, great employees. Old fashion ways, bye taking you groceries to your car.. plus fast checkout service.. But you need to ditch the self-checkouts!!! Go back to your great service checkouts..

We have been shopping at this Fareway for close to 35 years. We have gotten to know some of the employees very well and enjoy their friendship. We've seen people start their Fareway careers and retire from Fareway. Very personal, and grateful employees. They go out of their way to make your shopping experience satisfying. Highly recommend you shop here.

This store in Grimes Iowa has the best Meats and hopefully 12-pack of orange vanilla Coca-Cola they also have the best employees in any store that I've been to! I've never been disappointed. Love the home town atmosphere.

I honestly wish I could give this place 5 stars. I trust their pricing and products. However, I have never seen such awful customer service. These kids act like they just came out of a funeral or are gossiping in aisles blocking customers. They make Walmart employees look like the happiest people on earth.---2022 edit. This Fareway has turned around! The staff that works with the online orders are especially amazing.

Was a first time visitor of this store in Grimes and enjoyed the small-town feel of the place. It's not huge and bewildering like Walmart, but that doesn't mean you can't find what you're looking for. The butcher was friendly and knowledgeable and our toddler had fun placing items in the shopping cart. This place is what you'd expect when visiting a midwestern location; friendly and fast service with neighborly kindness within every smile.

I bought a bad batch of dos equis 6pack. I still had 5 bottles and undrinkable. I called a manager named Brian and was able to exchange with my receipt. He was very polite on the phone and also had excellent customer service experience with two other employees.

They have the best meat, the butchers are helpful in choosing the cut you're looking for. They will wrap it the way you want. Plus the prices are good. The stores produce is very good and help is always available throughout the store. This is the store in Grimes.

Parking was easy. Found what I needed pretty easily. There was one item that I didn't know where it was and a cashier helped me locate it. I used self checkout-- really easy!

Regular customer there! They matches competion sale prices automatic so I don't have to travel to HyVee. Not all Fareway do this. Since I'm regular, there are a number of familiar faces that my children like to talk to. Almost like a family! When we want fresh meat, we go THERE. It is nice most of time that I don't have to handle unloading cart into my vehicle and putting away cart. It is nice that almost all stores have very similar layout so I don't have to memorize WHERE to find anything! :-)

The two older women who work there are both rude. They have the attitude that they are bosses and treat their staff with disrespect. I have been to many fareway stores but this place needs to fire those old women and replace them with people who friendly to both customers and staff. I can’t say enough about how nasty they are! And worse the manager doesn’t care he allows them both to run the show. They have lost my business!!!! I make sure everyone who lives here in grimes knows these nasty women!!

Service was great. All the baggers where out helping other people and the manager stepped in immediately to take our cart out. Fareway will become the perfect grocery store when they broaden their produce section, a process they've already started.

I'm a bit biased here cause its a very convenient location for me. That being said, the staff is courteous, management seems to keep things tidy, and they carry just about everything you'd need for most meal occasions.

Grew up in the 60's. A small town where Fareway was are local grocery store. It hasn't changed after all these years. Absolutely the best in courtesy, politeness and with fair pricing. Love the meat department.

I love the meat department and give a thumbs up to all of them. It was crazy busy and they kept up.The check out lady was very friendly and I wish I could remember her name. She was at the handicap lane.

The best place to get meat, hands down. I love a store that focuses on one thing, for Fareway that is groceries. There aIs no pharmacy, no bank, no hair salon. They sell food, and do it better than any other store I know.

Excellent customer service and terrific meat department. Unfortunately, the produce leaves a lot to be desired. Case-in-point this rotten head of lettuce. I usually have to buy produce at Hy-Vee because this happens frequently.

I love shopping there,but I'ts very frustrating when I buy something for several weeks, such as the little Cutie oranges, and then I go in the next week, and they don't have them. This happens with several items, and frequently. Too bad.
